I ordered a mixed dozen red wines which came with 3 bonus bottles of Angas King shiraz. Apart from the bonus my dozen included 2 bottles of Caravan Petiite Syrah and 2 bottles of Black Pig Shiraz, both in my favourite reds. I have twice in 2026 ordered a box of 12 mixed reds from Laithwaites. On both occasions, the delivery was very quick with no issues or breakages. through them as presents for son in laws. I guess I can't complain about the quality. All my previous purchases have been excellent and value for money and very enjoyable. Would recommend Laithwaites but will be more careful on what I purchase.
Follow-up · Delivery occurred within 5 days and left at front door in safe position. Website was helpful and pointed me in the right direction to get what I wanted. Easy to navigate and order. Didn't need to contact them so no comment.

Wines are variable in taste and quality. Overall the quality is well above average. Enjoy the selection variety which is a plus compared to consuming the same wine every couple of nights. The listed retail price of the wines is sometimes inflated, particularly the "bonus" bottles that might be included as an extra with their retail price quoted as e.g $75. which is unrealistic. I buy Australian shiraz and it is very good value... much better tasting than wine at the same price point at retailers. Boxes are usually 15 bottles, much heavier than a retailers box of 6. Show reply

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst customer experience ever! The staff are polite and sound professional, however nothing is resolved. My delivery sat with Aramex for 2 weeks and Laithwaites did zero to help. This is the most frustrating company who take no responsibility for anything. Lazy is the polite word. Do not bother, you will be given the runaround with no resolution in sight.

A lot of Laithwaites wine is very average and those that are of a better quality are very expensive. Some of their RRP for wine is grossly exaggerated e.g. $100 for Dowie Doole The Banker Shiraz Cab, $75 for Angas King Reserve Shiraz and $65 Redheads Esule Shiraz Durif. $50" bottles of wine and that is supported by Laithwaites habit of passing on their surplus stock of these brands as "secret" labels. In short, value for money is very poor. And duping customers is not helping their sales in the long term.

become a bit tacky, with the freebies that are used to attract sales, ie wine glasses and other stuff, I would expect members of wine clubs would have glasses, what next steak knives with a purchase of grange, in the quarterly magazine the $50.00 voucher looks good until you do your sums and realize it is not such a good deal because you have to spend more

We were in another wine club many years ago but dropped out because the wines were no better value than we could get at the local bottlo and regularly included a couple of stinkers. Outstanding selection of Wines and excellent service, coupled with great value. Easy to select favorable wines from your choice of region and vintage. Can set and forget for regular deliveries of supreme wine selection. Also offer great value specials to take advantage of to stock up the wine cellar. Good value for money on their high end wines, but probably not worth it on the cheap varieties. Also, I would not recommend signing up for their regular subscription - rather, exercise discrimination with your choices. Show reply

Couldn’t be more happy with Laithwaites. I buy their wines for my wife who absolutely loves their wines. They have a great selection to choose from and when they’re on special it’s great value for money. Highly recommend them with their prompt delivery and customer service. Show reply
I was offered a "Dowie Doole" cabernet shiraz package after a $100 per bottle contract had been closed. I fail to see how this cabernet shiraz could have been sold at $100 per bottle. From my experience I believe it could only realize around $20 - $30 per bottle, which was the price I ended up paying. It was not that special a deal - OK to drink but that is all. Show reply
Excellent service, quick delivery. Wines are really nice. Have bought from them several times now. Only issue was with the delivery as it went missing enroute, Laithwaites sent me another carton without question. When the first one eventually arrived I was able to purchase it at a reduced price. Follow-up · Value for money is great, especially if they are having sales. The 2nd delivery was quick and had no issues. I got a mixed box of red wines...Cab Savs, Shiraz's, Durif's etc.
