Predatory lending behaviour. Was with this company for a few years. Needed a replacement washing machine and the retailer was able to arrange a plan for it. Paid it off, then made a few more necessary purchases over the next two years as Latitude has arrangements with many electrical and electronic retailers. Took a long time to pay them off… Read more

because Latitude, unlike most other lendors, treats your monthly balance, including a $10.95 monthly "service fee", as a seperate balance. If you've not paid your monthly balance, you cant pay plan installments.

And to boot, Latitude doesn't allow debit card transfers either. Your two online options are slow bank transfer or slow bpay. If your account is in arrears, you might only be allowed bpay. So by the time the money clears and things update on Latitude's end, it can take up to 7 business days. Longer if there's public holidays. The whole system is set up to keep you, the customer, on their credit hamster wheel.

My advice would be to avoid them. If you have to have credit, look at something like Zip Pay or Zip Money.

My experience with Latitude Financial Services has been disappointing, particularly around how they manage customer credit limits. Without warning or clear communication, my credit limit was reduced leaving me unexpectedly unable to rely on funds I had responsibly planned around. There was no proactive notification, no explanation provided… Read more

upfront, and no consideration of the impact this would have.

For a financial provider, this lack of transparency is a serious issue. Customers make decisions based on available credit, and changing that without notice undermines trust and creates unnecessary stress.

When I attempted to seek clarification, the response lacked accountability and clarity. It felt like a generic process rather than a customer-focused resolution.

What’s most concerning: • No prior communication before reducing the limit • No clear reasoning provided • Immediate impact on financial planning and commitments • Limited support when trying to resolve the issue

Final take: Latitude may offer convenient credit products, but reliability and communication are lacking where it matters most. If you plan to use them, be aware that your approved limit may not be as stable as you expect.

This financial institution is all about fees. I made a mistake and did a balance transfer. I have been hit with fees that are not really justified. As part of the promotion, I was offered no annual fee for the first year, they charged me an annual fee No balance transfer fee. They charged me that too. Then when I made repayment, they charged me a fee for making a repayment, crazy! AFCA needs to look into their dodgy operation.

I came back from overseas only to find my card had been charged incorrectly. I called to dispute the charge then over a month later was told it was my fault the charged went through. the details myself to the hacker when I actually never did. Although clearly latitude is at fault they want me to pay for these charges. The customer service there is terrible, it is the worse choice for anywone. Stay away they are so quick to blame you for them not doing the job properly. They went on to say that I should have secured the account when obviously they did not.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received. I applied for the balance transfer offer and, upon receiving the card, submitted my balance transfer request. However, this request was rejected. When I contacted customer service, I was informed that my offer had expired on 31 July. I pointed out that I had the confirmation email in… Read more

front of me, which clearly stated that the offer ends on 31 August. Despite this, the representative continued to insist otherwise.

When I requested the support email address so I could forward the original communication from Latitude, the representative hesitated, then stated I would need to complete an additional form.

At that point, I decided to close the account as the process had become unnecessarily complicated and inconvenient.

Steer well clear of this David Jones credit card total stitch-up! This thing’s a legal scam if you ask me. The customer service team’s got no bloody clue what they’re even promoting. I followed every step to the website while login to the account for the so-called Expedia 10% off nada. None of the hotels actually work with the code (say not… Read more

eligible but at least I should have 1one successful out of the 50 listing I went through, and the instructions are absolute rubbish. Tried ringing support useless and they bloody hung up on me.

The Priority Pass deal? Yeah right. Good luck trying to activate that you’ll end up begging at the shop just to get it sorted. I was flat out trying to sort it all before my trip no time to keep stuffing around.

And if you ever get scammed using this Latitude-run card (which I did not realized it was through this provider until I got approved and in a hurry to avail such scammed promotion), good luck getting your money back – it’ll take months, maybe even a year. You're better off with a proper Aussie bank they'll actually back you up and sort it out fast.

Fair warning this card's nothing but grief. Don’t get sucked in.

I’ve had a latitude credit card for the past 5 months, recently switched over to a larger card with Latitude. you can pay. It seems like most people here don’t actually take the time to read through terms & conditions, or understand how credit works. Like, if you don’t manage your money well I don’t think you should take it out on the company lol I pay in full every month, I never use more than 30% of the cards value in one statement period, I get digital statements. I’m now on their lower 10% card, and have no annual fees for a year. When I switched over, it was super easy, and when I called their office support was there. I also use ClearScore to keep track of my score. It beats using companies like PayPal’s pay in 4 or AfterPay (which are credit, people!), because I can pay off my balance at any time and easily keep track of what I’ve spent. Just don’t use credit cards as an extension to your income, rather treat it as a loan you pay back in a month, and you should be good. Or, get on a lower rate card and plan out when you’ll pay it, so you don’t get stung with too much interest. just my piece!

Would give 0 stars if possible. This company is so dishonest and are litteraly breaking the law in Australia. said I would like to close the account and 3 separate people told me I could not close the account without a face scan. Once I pushed back and said that they are not allowed to do that, they eventually closed the account. It was a lot of frustration and time wasted. During the process they contradicted them selves multiple times, were rude and unhelpful. They refused to disclose to me what the suspicion of fraudulent activity was, what they were going to do with my biometric data, who would have access to it, how and where it would be stored and for how long. They refused to send me an email with anything in writing saying they can not send any emails until I submit my biometrics. Yet they were constantly email me about my account and eventually emailed me confirming the closure. They even tried mocking and shaming me into doing the face scan on my phone acting like it was not a big deal, they mis-represented the procedure and were only focused on getting me to do the scan. They are clearly not trustworthy DO NOT send them your valuable biometric data!

Worst company on the planet, and it’s a shame I can’t go below 1 star. They will do what they can to milk every dollar from you with hidden fees, charges and interest. Also they won’t tell you but if you offer to pay out something early but not the interest they will put a black mark against you which stays on your credit report for 5-7 years. Latitude is the worst of the worst never deal with them the parasites.

If I could write 0 stars I would. Latitude wrongly charged me over 20x my monthly repayment for my credit card. I am talking thousands of dollars. The money was refunded, but they have no understanding of why it happened. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in my life, you are talking to an overseas team that can do nothing to help. Save yourself the worry, and the stress and do not go anywhere near this company.

It’s sounds great….instant credit with a small $10.95 monthly fee! BUT that $10.95 is charged monthly even if you have zero balance. There are cheaper alternatives out there or just use it for a one-off purchase then cancel it.

For a financial institution, the lack of customer support is really concerning. When you’re dealing with credit products and high interest rates, customers should at least be able to speak to someone or receive a response to emails. Overall the experience has been disappointing and I would not recommend them based on the difficulty in getting support when you actually need it.

Terrible experience with this company. 1. When they moved from credit line to Gem Visa, they sent to 3 cards probably by mistake or whatever, and because of this the card number in their system was different from the card that I had in my hand. and wanted to pay using gem visa so I get the 6 months interest fee for transactions over 250. 3.I tap the EFPTOS and the transaction won't go through. I had to pay from my savings. I called them and raised a complaint. This was somewhere in 2025.(Card issue was resolved as confirmed by a manager) 4. Fast forward to February 2026, I had to pay for my car around 700 and when I tap it won't work. When I called them they said my card details are incorrect. 5. It's been more than 6-7 months but the issue actually never was resolved. 6. I understood this now because every time I wanted to buy from Good guys or Harvey norman or jbhifi, I had to use my account number. Since it worked with account number I never bothered about the card. But when it came to EFPTOS tap, I was going through this mess. 7. I called the team again and the customer service is terrible. Bad managers bad team no empathy no concern. Pure business. 8. Shame on this company for lack of empathy. They are dealing with people's money. When someone pays back with no history of any black mark, all you can do is show empathy when we reach out with concern. 9. Just today that st^pid id*ot cut the call on my face.

My husband and I paid off and closed our car loan account with these clowns more than 2 years ago (2023) after a very painful series of requests to close it (We tried via fax email and countless phone calls frustrations and wait times) They finally (5 months after paying it off) managed to send us a letter of account closure and assured us the… Read more

account was closed. They sent the letter in my husbands name only. We didn't think much of this at the time as the account was supposedly closed and that's what we wanted. This week we are applying for an investment loan with our bank and were shocked during the credit check that it still shows as an open loan (with zero activity since 2023 but nevertheless open) in my name only. WHAT? I'm calling today to complain about it and get it sorted on their 1300 number (which they provided on their supposed 'closure' letter). Was on hold over 20 mins. The automated horror machine keeps asking me for my card number. When I finally got through the guy goes 'sorry mam I can't help you I'm with the credit card team' ...why put irrelevant phone numbers on closure letters??? He put me through to the 'right department' ...on hold over 20 minutes (because apparently I have all day) They assured me yet again that the account is closed but will now send me another letter (in my name this time) within an hour and ensure there is a correction request sent to my credit file to fix the oversight...but that will take 30 days! Shall I hold my breath? I think not....in the meantime my investment loan outcome may be affected by this. Unacceptable!

Stay away from these guys... their incompetence has no limit. And a warning to ensure if you've ever had a loan with them that they've REALLY closed it when you asked them to.
