Being a cheaper built commercial van I wasn't expecting it to be the best but I used a few for work 12hrs or more a day on the road and I wouldn't recommend it commercially, private use there fine but I had a list of things that went wrong within the first 100,000km of use. And it happened to 3 out of the 4 I had on the road as a courier but they… Read more

do have good things aswell but there better for private use where there not getting hammered on the road 12hrs a day

The vehicle has not yet travelled 3000 km. It is not my vehicle. I have driven the LDV Bus on a volunteer basis. A retirement village purchased the bus. There were problems with the side door not opening and the step not retracting from the first day; attempted repairs by the workshop, keeping the vehicle off the road for weeks at a time, as It… Read more

has been in the service yard many times. Please keep this in mind: 3000 K only. Today, I had an unfortunate experience: I noticed the dashboard light regarding the coolant level. The vehicle lost all power. After about four minutes, it returned to a standard driving practice. It could have been a disastrous outcome for the passengers and me. I have read several reviews and am surprised that a class action has not been instigated against LDV. The LDV management does not appear to look at the review. In my opinion, you may think you are getting a bargain. I would invest the money $45-50,000, whatever its cost, into a good quality secondhand vehicle from a respected manufacturer. Best Hugh.

Two friends have had really bad experiences and listed all of the problems. They are good until they are not – I have been researhing LDV Delivery 9 for over a year now. Lots of really bad reviews from customers and car mechanics I have spoken too. They seem such great value and I was planning on converting one to a Campervan to travel Australia. Strange how all of the possitive reports are so well written with no grammatical errors! seems very suspicious.… Read more

They are selling heaps of them and that means profit and cash flow. Obviously the money isn't going into service so who is getting rich? Here is an opportunity for someone to do it right and make a honest and decent living. Have a couple of spares (for rent or courtesy), get a few Chinese LDV mechanics here on contract and sort everyone's issues.

If you truely hate yourself, buy an LDV – First review ever, but feels essential to warn others of what could only be described as the biggest headache you’ll ever get. Quality of build = 2/10 Customer service = 0/10 Drivability = 5/10 Overall satisfaction = -1000/10 I bought brand new in late 2021 to live in while travelling the country. Catastrophic fault at 50,000km. Spent 6months… Read more

off the road. Another 3 months off the road for smaller repairs. A further 6 months total waiting for parts to be shipped from China to NZ.

Has still done less than 60,000km because it’s spent most of its life off the road.

I want to sell mine because of how bad it is.. but I don’t want to pass it on because no one, not even my worst enemies deserve such a terrible vehicle.

Utterly hopeless and unprofessional company – Utterly shambolic company to deal with. Was sold a Deliver 9 van in March 2024. The dealership didnt do a proper pre sale check and when we took it to get the windows tinted the passenger window didnt work. They then said there are no window regulators in Australia and it would be two months to get one here. This is on a brand new car i paid 50k… Read more

for. Now its been 2 months and they say it will be another 2 months before they have a window regulator. They never call to follow up with me and refuse to take one from another vehicle despite selling me a faulty vehicle and they honestly do not seem to care. So I have a 50k van I cant use because they refuse to fix it. The dealer service department is a joke you wait on hold for 20 mins and nobody picks up.

Do not buy from LDV they cannot back up their vehicles with parts and have left me with a 50k van I cant use. This is Australia's best selling van and they have no parts for them. I am now engaging legal advice as there appears no other option the dealership just doesnt care.

Zero aftercare from Maxus Deliver 9 manufacturers – I am very disappointed with the purchase of Maxus Deliver 9, 2021 reg. Many faults, and one very dangerous, wheels lock for a split second whilst driving and I had a accident be cause of this. Very bad company, cannot find a dealership who could repair under manufacturer's warranty. Very bad customer service, I wrote to your company but I did… Read more

not receive any response from your company. I found one dealer in Croydon who could repair under warranty and was given a date of 26th March 2024 to book for repairs. This date was given 6 weeks prior to thus date as they were fully booked and did not have sooner dates. I called on Friday 5th April 2024 for an update and I was told they did not get a chance to look at my van. I rely of thus van to earn my living. I have been hiring an alternative vehicle since I handed my van in for repairs under warranty but still they have not started on it. What a rubbish manufacturer and rubbish product. I am going to put my serious concerns on public domain for everyone to see the vans you manufacture ture and sell without any aftercare under warranty. You vehicle I bough is dangerous on the road and I could have killed myself when wheels lock for a split second and skidded and hit the lamppost in a quite residential road. Luckily I was driving under 20miles per hour. Seriously dangerous van Maxus Deliver 9 and people ought to know about this before it kills anyone.

Lemon Van – It is the worst van I have ever bought. I bought it in July 2022 . 3 to 4 times it has been towed to dealer ship for not starting. Breaking is the worst 3 times Ihave changed the brakes it worn out so fast and dealer ship try to charge me $3000 to change the breaks. It is eating tyres as no alignment settings are available in any tyre alignment shop. The buil quality is very bad and light material. I will not suggest this van to anyone. Show details

Great so far! – Deliver 9 Bigger. Garden Landscaping. Www.BlitzWaikato.Com PRO +Handles NZ roads very well. +Comfortable seats. +Strong engine. +Pallet load of soil and tool boxes etc or towing a trailer load of soil.. very easy. +rear barn doors close with one finger. -Got ldv to put in a cabin bulk head which is excellent for reducing most noise etc. + 50k NZD… Read more

for 18,000km used purchase. (About 65K new here). CONS: - stereo mirroring only compatible only with Apple phones (i.e. outdated for something so modern!) - my two sliding doors not self-closing and need slamming shut. - wheels seem to wobble a little since the purchase over 105km. Mags didn't improve this much (seen reviews where they say this shuddering through sterring wheel is normal. okay but still has an effect on the wrist for long trips). - paint job seems lacking in contact and layers. - Cruise control feels like its in turbo mode all the time even in Eco mode. Even if it is out only 5km it always goes full throttle to get there. Have to tap the gas pedal after half the corners to re-engage.. can't really tell when it will decide to disengage. But it's nice to have it on straight highway roads to give the legs a different position. - The chassis seems good quality steel. The body is a little soft for this type of vehicle. - The cabin Floor doesn't have those hooks for car mats.. so they could potentially assist in causing an incident or accident sliding about. Deliver 9 mats don't even have clip holes in mats either. Fingers crossed for long-term km!

Can get rid of it fast enough – Bought the delivery 9 just after its launch in 2021. It is used for a milk run doing 250km a day 7 days a week. On the drive home I lost 2 hub caps and the dealer wanted to charge me for replacements. After only 20000km power steering pump failed. Vehicle was off the road for a week. Rear brake routers had to be replaced but couldn't get a hub… Read more

seal in the country it took over 6 months to get one so I had to chew through brak pads while waiting.

Major service I had to have the gearbox fluids replaced the van then went into limp mode. The dealer took over a month to figure out how to fix it. Turned out the sensors didn't like the oil they used.

A few weeks later had a dpf sensor throw it into limp mode again van was off the road for a month.

Now in limp mode again with dpf has been off the road for over a month again they have given the van back 3 times without resolving the issue they are now replacing the CPU.

The van is now out of warranty and next breakdown is on me to pay for.

On top of all this the driver steer wears Un evenly and the professional wheel alignment company says the can't straitened it and there is no aftermarket camber kit to correct it so I am chewing through tyres every 25000km. Ldv dealer says it's a manufacturing issue and not warranty so they won't do anything about it.

Also back doors have had to be readjusted several times and the rubber around the sliding door fell off in the first month.

This just the stuff I can remember.

Never again

Great Campervan Conversion Van – The van has heaps of headroom and drives is so comfortable. Have done a 6month lap of Australia and drove like a car. Done 31,000km and doesn’t miss a beat. Very surprised how good this van is considering how it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Hear alot of China bashing but they have done a great job here. Guess thats why they are the number one selling van in Australia now.. Show details

Best Van – My LDV deliver 9 is such a great all round Van, 20,000 k's and no trouble, we turned it into a Camper Van, and for $45 K it's such good value, comparing to Crafter, Sprinter, Transit for around $85 k it's a no brainer. Happy Customer!

LDV deliver 9 so far – I have had my LDV Deliver 9 for several months now and have put over 20,000 kilometres on it with a mixture of highway and city driving. My ratings on the van would be as follows: Comfort Excellent ride and still good without any load. Very quiet for a van Fuel economy Good overall for a van… Read more

this size 9.5/100 and getting better Handling Good for a van this size and easy to drive Brakes Good for my application but could not offer an opinion on fully loaded Engine Good power and excellent cruising on the highway Transmission Generally good but does get caught out sometimes in low speed crawling Accessories Entertainment and screen are basic but functional Cruise control Worst cruise control EVER and dangerous A E braking system See above comment on cruise control

I am overall very happy with everything the van offers except for the electronic systems which are woeful in their design and operation. How these systems ever got through testing and were then signed off for production is beyond me. LDV need to provide a software update to modify the existing systems or allow them to be turned off completely as they only serve to frustrate the driver , provide dangerous and unexpected power loss, and would without question be detracting from the potential for better fuel economy by the constant surging of engine and gearbox during cruise control operation. Almost Great

Excellent comfortable van – After owning 3 VW Transporters [new] I needed a bigger van for work. I got the Bigger Deliver 9. the T6. 27.000 km now and only problem is the steel wheels are made of butter. 2 have such a large runout the tyre guy called them buckled. I have been careful driving over curbs and around building sites. Love the 6 speed manual gearbox. It’s geared a bit lower so in town traffic it can idle along in 1st without pushing the clutch in. Clutch is smooth and easy anyway. Driving is quiet and comfortable. It is used every day for work and the stupid 30,000km service interval is ridiculous. I took it in for a service at 15.000km and they thought i was strange. Leaving any vehicle for 30,000km without checking everything is caveman. A very under rated vehicle due to people being stuck in old thinking habits. Lots of these will appear as camper vans i reckon.

100,000km update. At 95,000km the bearing on the power assist steering pump gave out and was replaced under warranty. The bearing was noisy but the steering pump worked like normal. Apart from that it runs just as well as it did when I bought it brand new 2 and a half years ago. I also am changing the engine oil and filters myself every 10,000km which mechanically minded people will do with a view to keeping it long term as it’s used as a work van and self contained certified camper as well.

Nice van, couple of issues – We bought an LDV Deliver 9 for our business. We drive it to and from work every day. After 3 months, one of the hubcaps has fallen off somewhere. When we bought it the weather strip above back door was falling off, LDV fixed it, but it keeps falling off, not happy. The middle seat belt jams in the mount at top of seat every time unless it’s pulled… Read more ·  1

out a certain way, which isn’t viable. The mount then has to be taken off to fix it. Driver and passenger windows are not wide enough to see around corners when turning, you have to lean too far forward to see out. The side sliding door has to be slammed to close it, unless another door is open, due to no internal air, apparently comes good over time. Otherwise a nice van, and great price.

Not altogether bad .. as yet – Company bought LDV Deliver 9 to replace LDV V80 that had 75000 km with only the power steering hose blowing at 60000 km.. 2. Litre turbo isn’t too bad pulling 4 tonne.. Braking a bit hard when fully laden..they should have left driver side rear sliding door in it like the V80..Have done 17000 km so far… lost hubcaps within 2 days and rear badge… Read more

came off, thankfully in my hand .. AM radio is almost useless and cruise control keeps switching off by itself.. Steering pulls to the left , had alignment but there is no camber adjustment and still pulls but not as much..Rear bumper is slightly too big and forklift needs a couple of goes to get pallet it in and out.. watch out for rear camera overhang… reverse camera ok in daylight but too grainy at night.Centre USB only for apple car play so no USB for passenger.. 1 USB on drivers side only for charging.. no drivers footrest.. Really only small stuff but it all ads up… As I mentioned really needs a sliding door on rear.. asked why they don’t have one and was told tradies don’t need second door..

Not a bad van ...so far – Company purchased LDV Deliver 9 in October 2020. Replaced the LDV V80 which we had for 3 years and 75000 km with only the steering blowing the oil line at about 60000 km the only problem we had..Have done 17000 km so far. load....definitely should have had the driver sliding door ..but within 2 days lost hubcaps and rear LDV badge came off in my hand. Centre seatbelt jammed and had to pull it apart to release it.Made my own part to stop it from jamming.. Rear bumper is a little too large and forklifts have to have at least 2 passes to get pallet in and watch the overhead camera..radio reception on AM is bad..rear camera during day is OK but at night is too grainy…adaptive cruise control keeps shutting off by itself.

Update:12/2022 the van has now done 50,000 km and so far so good.. waiting to get radiator caps replaced as the original is too low a psi and allowing fluid to seep out… passenger seat keeps letting a warning sign to buckle. Have fixed it once.
