We ordered the Billi electric wheelchair over the phone and received it within 2 days, Melb to Adelaide. After researching different electric wheelchairs and reading the many positive comments about the Billi we decided that was the one for my husband. The customer service so far has been great and the chair itself my husband is very impressed with. Minimal putting together, batteries came charged and the chair is easy to operate; value for money seems to be a winner too. It's still too heavy for me to lift and put into the back of the car so we purchased a ramp system elsewhere so that it can be wheeled into the back, no heavy lifting. Here's hoping the after sales support is just as good as the initial purchase was.

I bought the Leitner Billi electric wheelchair. I absolutely love this wheelchair. Everything about it is great. It’s strong. It has several speeds. It turns on a dime, no chair will turn in a direct circle like this one. It confidentially goes up small hills, I haven’t tried a big one yet. The batterys overall lasts many years, & several hours per use. It’s easy to drive & has a joystick control. It’s only 26 kgs or 28 kgs with the batteries. It folds up like a pram & easily fits in the boot of any car. It holds up to 122 kgs on top of the chair weight. The seat is a generous 44cm wide. Now as for the service you receive from the Leitner business. It’s the best I’ve ever encountered. They answered my emails within one minute, I was flabbergasted. In spare parts I spoke to the loveliest & most helpful man by the name of Misc. Not only did he solve my problem but he did it immediately, where do you get service like that these days? At Leitner. I highly recommend this Billi electric wheelchair. Should you ever need to contact them direct you be feel safe in knowing they will take excellent care of you.
Follow-up · Accessories are easy to buy. I have actually bought a couple items from Leitner themselves, their service is superb though it’s not cheap. I’ve also bought a couple of things on eBay. I bought a kind of bag that hangs from the side. It has pockets & straps go around the armrest. It fits any wheelchair. You can buy drink holders amongst a variety of other things on eBay or Amazon & dirt cheap too. Note that Leitner also sell some accessories, There are 2 batteries, reasonably small. If you take your wheelchair to the airport to fly out you have to fill out a dangerous goods focument & remove the batteries & carry them onto the plane with you. They take your chair & put it in luggage, free. They give you an airport approved wheelchair without a way to push it. If you don’t have someone with you to push you to the plane then they will push you. You must be capable of walking from the plane entry to your close seat.staff meet you at the other end with the temporary wheelchair & return you back to you own chair. It’s a bit of a bother but worth it overall. The batteries seem to be fantastic. They last me for days. They take about an hour to fully charge but I find if I leave them charge longer I get longer use out of them. I’ve had the chair a couple of years now & the batteries aren’t even close to wearing out. As for terrain, the chairs pretty good but I did have one slip in it.ot was raining & I was going down a hill. Chair slipped & went sideways onto the grass. Let me say though that this was a very steep hill, but I’d definitely avoid another very steep hill. Other than that the chairs pretty handles anything, it’s pretty tough. Me for the one thing I’ve come to dislike about the chair, the footrest! If the footrest is down you have to walk backwards to sit down but you must spread your legs apart to slide in onto the side of the footrest, then once your one the seat you put your feet onto the footrest. The easy way is to get someone to fold the footrest back while you walk backwards to sit down, & them put the footrest back down, or you can fold the footrest back & wrap the strap around it to hold it up, then again, once your seated you would have to unfold the strap to put it down, this is the most inconvenient way.its just easier to walk backwards to the chair & spread your feet, but if you are really cripple then this would be hard. In that case I’d suggest asking someone to hold it back until you sit, it only takes seconds. It’s not much bother but it’s a bit annoying. It would be good if the footplate had an auto up & down function. So that’s my only negative, other than that I love my Leitner BILLI wheelchair, it’s so reliable. It turns on a dime too. Very tight turning circle. Bonus!

Leitner Billi electric wheelchair. Totally awesome! – I've recently had to depend on using an electric wheelchair to get around, and after much research I decided I would purchase the Leitner Billi. I've had the wheelchair for about a month, and I absolutely love it. Not only has it given me my independence outside the house back, but also fits through the doorways inside as well. It's quite compact, highly manoeuvrable, and looks awesome. It folds right down and fits easily into the boot of my car. It weighs about 26kg and I can lift it into the boot by myself. It is so easy to drive, you just use the little joystick to direct it, and you can vary the top speed by using the up and down buttons on the little control panel. I regularly go down to the local shop that's a couple of kilometres away and have only had to charge the Billi once in the past month. Folding up the chair is so easy, you just take out the seat cushion, flick a little lever on the back and it practically fold itself up, and is quite compact. If you release the two brake levers on the back wheels, it free-wheels quite easily, and takes no effort to wheel it around by hand. I thoroughly recommend the Leitner Billi, it's really stylish (so many people comment positively on how it looks), it's easy to drive and is really comfortable. I challenge you to find a wheelchair with all these features at a cheaper price. Also a call out to the staff at Leitner Australia, their service is excellent. I was overseas when I ordered the chair and they made sure the chair was delivered on the same day I got back. Emailing them was a breeze, and Lachy who was managing the sale was very knowledgeable, helpful and responded to my emails within a couple of hours of me sending them. I also recommend purchasing the protective cover for the chair when you're transporting it ir not using it. It slips on really easy and completely covers the chair.
