LifeGear 3D LED Lantern

Excellent Camping Lantern, But not Fisherman friendly – Purchased this Lantern to use as a general light source around the tackle box & fishing gear when rigging or baiting up. Very snazzy looking light & attractive colourful packaging made this one stand out from all others on the Retailers shelf. Has hi/med/lo settings as well as 2 red light emergency settings. The only drawback with this Lantern is the lack of a last used setting memory function. Each time it's turned on it goes to the default setting of high output. My preferred setting is on low, as if you are on a wharf, or in a small boat, the sudden effect of the high 1000 Lumen output of the high setting will startle & frighten away any fish in close proximity. The carabiner clip on the bottom is useful to carry upside down as then the light illuminates where your walking. Very useful for walking bush land/access tracks to watch out for snakes etc. Would have preferred a plug in usb charger as D cell batteries quite expensive but charging could be an issue if away from civilisation camping etc. for a while, so possibly a wise decision. Overall a very good Quality product IMO & a good purchase, Value for money @ $50. However, may have to return/ replace sadly due to the lack of memory function. Good run times, 10 hrs low, 20 hrs med, 40 hrs on low.
