Would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the constant beeping when auto resistance is turned on via my app Zwift with no way of turning it off. Also, as a heavier person, the seat crank I had to slam with foot or it'd collapse under me. But besides that, the auto resistance, the ability to adjust seat and handles as I'm 5'10 is great, wider cushioned seat which makes it comfy. I actually love this bike despite the beeping. Worth the money if you can get over those couple of issues. And Lifespan fitness weren't much help as I got my bike from Harvey Norman. And Harvey Norman weren't helpful either.

Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $484.

Hello Nicole, Sorry to hear about the issues with the item and we apologise as well for the troubles. Normally, for warranty claims, we would refer customers to their place of purchase as we do not have their order details which is important to start the warranty. We will coordinate with Harvey Norman first for the warranty claim as the purchase was done through them and we will reach out to you to get more details in order for this to be rectified.

Do not buy the LIFESPAN SM-410 Magnetic Spin Bike – LIFESPAN SM-410 Magnetic Spin Bike. Purchased from Global Fitness & Leisure Pty Ltd Trading as: Lifespan Fitness. Price AUD$605.95 (including Delivery Melbourne, Vic to Sydney NSW). WARNING: Do not buy from this company. The objective was to purchase a good quality and reliable Spin bike to be used by a mature Motocross rider for home training. We decided to spend more money to ensure quality and reliability.

Observations: It took the Lifespan SM-410 Magnetic Spin bike 10 days to arrive after order and payment. While the packaging was damaged during Shipping the contents were not affected due to good foam design and packing protection. All the parts were secured in the foam packing and once the bolt kit was found (bolts were disguised face down on the ply top board) assembly was easy and the bike was assembled using the Instructions without any further issue. The frame size appears adequate and the quality of the welding is good, the bike appears robust and reasonably strong and presents well.

Using the Spin Bike: Using the Lifespan SM-410 is very easy and the magnetic resistance is linear, each turn increases the resistance proportionately so the rider can manage resistance, the magnetic system is represented as being reliable. The pedal stroke is smooth but has an annoying ‘tick noise’ on each rotation, most of the adjustable aspects appear to be in the right place. The Lifespan SM-410 does however have a number of issues that make it unsuited to many people; 1. There is insufficient adjustment for a taller person, I am 1730mm tall and the seat adjustment does not allow the lower leg to be in a positive position to the pedal when at the bottom of the stroke. The adjustment range is designed for shorter people. 2. Has the pedal offset to the left side causing the lower part of the rider's spine to be twisted to access the pedals. 3. The pedal crank is narrow causing the rider to have their legs too close preventing an ease of movement, this spin bike is designed for narrow hip, small stature people. 4. The magnetic resistance adjustment has very small increments in resistance with each turn of the adjustment knob. A noticeable change in resistance requires a number of knob turns to increase resistance. Regrettably to increase resistance form ‘speed’ pedaling in a seated position (with a lower resistance) to slight hill climbing (with greater resistance) requires too many turns (5 or more) of the resistance knob, so many that it is difficult to make an easy, quick change in resistance when doing speed / hills type interval training as many would expect to do on a quality Spin bike.

Conclusion: The Lifespan SM-410 Magnetic Spin bike has a higher price tag and is represented as ‘quality’, unfortunately the design shows a lack of thought for the end user and despite the price tag, this Spin bike has not been designed for people who would attend a Spin class, have a European width hip or are near or over 1700 tall. In summary the Lifespan SM-410 Magnetic Spin Bike is a well made yet poorly thought out Spin bike sold at about twice what it should be sold for.

Global Fitness & Leisure Pty Ltd Trading as: Lifespan Fitness responded to our complaint with “Thank you for your feedback, we will use this to make our spin bikes better.” Global Fitness & Leisure Pty Ltd Trading as: Lifespan Fitness have been evasive addressing the faults and have actively avoided resolution, the seller expects the buyer to lose the Shipping costs and lose a 15% re-stocking fee if they are not happy with the product. Do not buy this product.Do not buy from global fitness & leisure pty ltd trading as lifespan fitness.

Just Like a Gym Spin Bike – I had been looking for a bike to use at home for a while, doing some research online, and came across a lot of positive reviews for Lifespan Fitness bikes. I have been going to spin classes for over 10 years and knew I wouldn't be happy with something that didn't feel like the real deal. Well, I'm glad to say this bike feels just like a spin bike at the gym. It is really quiet and smooth to ride, the resistance is perfect and it was really easy to assemble. The only downside I would say is that I do not love the positioning of the handle bars, but I am getting more used to them. Very happy with this bike for the price.
