Lock Master Sliding Gate Opener

Great Sliding gate motor – Very happy with item, I bought for my mum because her old one died. A quote to replace the old one (3 yrs old) was $1200 (installed same brand as old one). This one is no frills, easy to install, I'm not a electrician, never installed a sliding gate before... I found it very easy to install and setup, for the wiring part I just googled wiring colours. That's pretty much all I did. Would by again!

Great double gate opener – Great Price and quite easy to install, easy to set up with farm steel gates. Can be a pain when visitors turn up and dont read the electric gate signs and just push on gates to enter and then the gates have to be reset. Been installed for 6 month now still going strong beats getting out of the vehicle to open 2 gates, wait for the rain to come......

Cheap but limitations – OK, I know. It was only $300 delivered but the lockmaster SAG 17/20 is a El cheap product 1/ instruction manual difficult to follow 2/ control circuit wiring to photo cell is back to front 3/ magnet stops have to be very adjacent to switch 4/ motor runs extremely slowly compared to the other unit I had (15 cm a second)... That is really tardy 5/ technical backup difficult to access

6/ motor has open windings , not a sealed case

7/ need to be very close to box to get it to open

8/ no obvious adjustment on auto time close

I am an Electrician but don't think this would be way for a layman to configure and install

Death Trap? – We got this Product in February 2015 of ebay, $340.-.Very good price to replace our 19 ten Year old one. I'm Electrician by trade and installed it myself. No Problems, and the Instructions are very well translated from China. The Seller was very helpful, after installation. The Motor doesn't know what to do most of the time. Reversing, stopping, not closing and so on. I contacted the helpful Seller and got a new electronic board, where

you can also set the sensitivity for reversing if something is in the way, and the Gate Motor reverses . I have given up now ( 50 > 80 times) to try to adjust the sensitivity. When the Gate is closing/opening I have to stay there till it stops. 14 days ago a Friend got very bad injured ,while the wife wasn't watching. The motor is just not reversing.

Now I found a Warning Sign, which came with the Gate Motor stating : Can cause Injury or Death! Keep Gate clear. Gate may open or close at any time .Gated area for vehicles only. Pedestrians have to use a separate entry, and so on. Not suitable for domestic gates is my opinion. It looks good, price is good, BUT !!
