Crap equipment, terrible service and bad attitude – My wife organised a ‘50’ light sign for my milestone birthday. When she picked it up she was told the price which she questioned because no-one had told her about the holding deposit when she made the booking over the phone. The bad attitude sales assistant sternly told her that was why and spoke to her like she was being stupid. He also offered… Read more
her no assistance in getting the huge and heavy numbers to/loaded into the car. When we plugged it in that evening, two bulbs didn’t work, so I legged it up to a store and bought two new ones (whilst my guests were arriving) and the same two still didn’t work. On returning to the Mornington store yesterday we dealt with the same bad attitude, obnoxious and condescending guy who told us firmly he had tested it before it left the store and it “must be a wiring issue” but offered no apology or compensation. Then when we wanted our deposit refunded he aggressively stated he had told us to keep our receipt and because we didn’t have it with us he couldn’t give us a refund. We obviously challenged this given we had a booking under our name and had the same credit card with us that we had used for the booking . He sternly asked us for the last 3 numbers of the card and with a crap attitude and tone told us it didn’t match what he had and their policy meant he couldn’t complete the refund. We again challenged this given we only have one credit card and eventually got to the fact it was the same card just has a different ID number when you use via Apple Pay. By this point my wife was pretty fuming and ordinarily I’d have told him what I thought and put him in place, but frankly after a massive party the night before and very little sleep I simply couldn’t be bothered with the aggro and just wanted to get out of there. He also visibly turned to the younger assistant and made some smart arse comment about us after we said thankyou and left. Crap service, terrible attitude and poor equipment. We will NEVER use this company again and will make sure none of our friends do either
Crap service crap product – Hi , to start of I had a really lovely lady serve me at the chirnside park store so helpful! Then comes over the manager who spoke to the staff member like she was dogcrap belittled her in front of me, and then spoke to me the same way. Then I received my sign back and paid $7.50 extra and top of the $40 for them to put the sign on the board and I… Read more
got it back and it was the worst, not even centred to the board and bubbles on all the stickers, I told her I was unhappy and she said you won’t even notice it. BUT I PAID for the service to be done probably and it looks like crap
Happy to be proven wrong – Finally got my refund after a month: I'm not happy it took that long but they came through after all. I was understandably frustrated with the constant "a few more days" but got here in the end. Two stars.

this is the worst company I have ever dealt with in life!!!!! do not use them – so hard to deal with the phone custom service team barely speak English and speak over the top of you. A simple request will leave you on the phone for hours and take days to receive email statements that are requested.

I wish there was negative star. One is too good for these people – Please never trust this company and their credit card and interest free. 5 years ago in Feb purchased 15000 of stock on 60 month int free with these people and gave them the permissionto do direct debit. Last week i notice they are charging me interest. I called them zero Sympathy to start with. They told me i signed a contract and permitted them… Read more
to do take out the minimum which is a total lie. I have never been told or shown any monthly figures. They said it is Automatic and the money is taken out automatically. 100% rip off. They do this on purpose to charge you interest at the end. This people are very know to everybody. Please do not use them or their credit card. Look at the peoples rating!

Stay away !! Be warned they are now called sky credit card – I have reached out to several local and national media stations with this story, have copy's of the letters, emails, statements of every interaction I have had with Lombards and intend to take this as far as possible so people know not to use Lombards or the now new Skye credit card. I have called several times now about this issue in the past 3… Read more
weeks, have spent over 10 hours collectively on the phone to Lombards and am still being harassed daily about an issue Lombards cannot resolve. In April just before my April direct debit was due (08/04/2020), I called up (on 07/04/2020) to ask if I could reduce my payments from $250.00 to the minimum amount. I was trying to save costs where possible because my partner has lost his work due to Covid-19. I was told that it was possible to do that for the month of April, all they needed to do was cancel my direct debit for 08/04/2020 and I could make a payment that day of $135.00, which I did. Due to several similar issues in the past I asked the lady i spoke to confirm 2-3 times that my direct debit was cancelled for the 08/04/2020 despite it being only a day or 2 away. I advised I was happy to make the change for the month of May to avoid any issues. She re assured me that the direct debit was cancelled and that I would just have to call up and make manual payments from on. I was not surprised that 2 days later Lombards direct debit was NOT cancelled and withdrew a further $250.00 from my account, overdrawing me for that day. I was not able to go do my grocery shopping and was extremely distressed because I had been so clear on the phone that this was exactly what I was trying to avoid. I called up once again on 09/04/2020 furious that this had happened. I was re assured that if there were no funds in my account the money would be bounced back to my account, which it did on 09/04/2020. I was charged a $5.00 unpaid payment fee from my bank account because of Lombards mistake. I let that go. On the 17/05/2020 I received my statement and could not believe what I was seeing. My April statement declared that the total due was $3,977.00, yet my May statement was total due $4,712.00. I could see that my account had gone up $735 despite having made a payment on time in April. From the statement it looks like the direct debit that was meant to be cancelled tried to go through 3 times, each time adding amount owing on to my account. I was also charged a late fee for Lombards own mistake. I called up trying to see what the issue was and was told someone would come back to me in 24-48 hours, I'm still waiting to hear back from this investigation. Instead what I have received is phone calls nearly EVERY day for 2 weeks requesting payment for the month of may, letters and text messages. yet Lombards CANNOT tell me why my account has an extra $735. I refuse to make any further payments until this is resolved. The amount of stress and anxiety this has caused is completely unethical, just because I wanted to reduce my payments because of the impacts of Covid-19. I have had nothing but issues and dramas since signing up. You refuse to let me move my direct debit date without charging me $35.00 a day for moving it because it will be 'later that the billing cycle', the interest rates are beyond unethical and really pinch the consumer for not reading the T&C's. The service is terrible, robotic and so automated you might as well speak to a computer. your staff are under trained and have no powers. You harass your customers for money but will not help them when they need your help. I will post this on all of your forums and platforms until you decide to fix this issue on my account. Until then I refuse to make any further payments.

The poorest customer service. Total lack of business ethics – Drowned in red tape so that customers can't access temporary hardship for 3 months as per the standards when needed. Disgraceful lack of humanity in dealing with customers who are experiencing a difficult time and need temporary reprieve to avoid real life conseuqences.

Horrendous Customer Service – Do not use this company for any financial service. I have only been involved with a credit card service. I am refinancing my mortgage and urgently required my credit limit be changed so my interest rate would be the best it possibly could. I was "Waiting for the next available consultant" long enough for my phone to run out of battery. I have… Read more
since read reviews of the past months of 2019 and saw Lombard has no shortage of staff chasing/harrasing customers by phone and email just a mass shortage of staff who wish to rectify customer issues. Be warned, avoid this company at all costs, I presume this abhorrent customer service will be inherited by the new Skye credit card.

Hassle Daily – I used to actually recommend this product to customers, it is a really great product. However I missed 1 payment due to moving states and not having started my new job yet. The money was in my other account i just hadn't transferred it. They then reversed it and by that time the remainder of my savings was gone. Now I've been screwed around by… Read more
my job and ended up stranded and stressed. This company calls multiple times off of different numbers EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!! They have also sent 2 letters, 7 texts, 3 emails and thats added to the multiple calls every single day. Understanding that this is my first mess up with missing the payment, before I could correct it they started the hassling and this was just within the day of missing the payment and within a week of me correcting the issue.
Having all of the life stress aswell as being hassled day in and day out by a company and flooded with debt calls, letters, emails and texts it really is appalling. Even if i did need to arrange a payment plan like other people may need to, why would anyone feel comfortable doing so and contacting this company if this is what you do??
After never missing a payment and having been a worker whose company used Lombard, this was insane to notice and I regret ever recommending this to anyone. Missed 1 payment and was fixed within a week but the hassling was frustrating for me, and I can only imagine it could be extremely upsetting and stressful for others in worse off situations or changes in circumstances.

Scammers, stay away from these liars! – We were talked into their plan even if we had the funds. The annual fee was supposed to be waived and we were told we could setup payments so we’d never get charged interests, at 22.99%!!! On the first statement we were charged annual fee, which they eventually waved after many phone calls. Then the payments started, and they charged the minimum… Read more
fee until they could charge their high interest rate. When we rang complaining and explaining the situation, the operator advised he couldn’t do anything about the interests that were already charged. He set up a new repayment that he said it would avoid us any more interests, instead it was again insufficient to cover the amount on which interests were charged, so we were charged more interests! He also set it up so that we’d finish payments one month after they’d charge the annual fee again. When we complained about the annual fee again, we were told that only the first year was waived, but that’s not what the agreement was. The customer service is very basic and they only offer basic explanations. Basically they can’t help.
These are thieves and liars! Don’t trust them!

Annual fee charged without notice, even though the balance is at $0 and no activity for months – I used Lombard Finance to pay off a kitchen bought from Ikea. The service was really good, interest free for 2 years. The kitchen was paid off in 6 months and instead of closing the account straight away, I let it stay at $0 balance. One day, I realised that I got charged the $99 annual fee without notice. I immediately called them to close the… Read more

Hopeless – We wanted to purchase an item for our property before the end of the financial year for tax purposes - the amount involved was $16,000. It was a very involved phone call to Lombard while by husband was at the store… Read more
and then it was declined. The business suggested to my husband that I apply instead, which I did over the internet. I sent pay slips as requested and then they rang to offer me half the amount which was useless. The Lombard staff member suggested to apply jointly so I put my husband on the phone and the phone call went for over 30 minutes. This application was then declined the next day.
Our combined income is close to $600k and we are denied a $16k loan?? We have never been denied anything previously and are very surprised. It didn't help that we are dealing with what sounded like a person from a call centre in a third world country.
The process is very complicated and almost every detail had to be spelled several times as English is not their first language. They obviously have some sort of spread sheet to enter the data into and their computer decides the outcome.
