Why aren't the sheets dispensing from the diswasher dispenser?

I've just purchased a subscription for the package of products, and didn't read the reviews before ordering. I'm pleased I've read the dishwasher reviews before the products arrive, because I have the Fisher and Paykel dish drawers and I see from several respondents that 1/8th of a sheet will be enough to use. I've used Finish since the unit was new, and given the reviews, I'm only giving the 1/8th sheet one try. If it causes any issues (dirty dishes or sudsing), I'll go back to Finish. I'm now also going to read the reviews of the laundry sheets. I've used the Amway SA8 for about 40 years without any issues whatsoever, and although I'm loathe to change, I'm going to support this young company prepared to give an environmentally sustainable business a go.

What brands of dishwasher do these work well in if not Fisher and Paykel?

I believe it's the drawers that's the issue. Maybe due to no place to pop the sheets until the actual wash starts??? My front load dishwasher was awesome.

Gee I am shocked at all the issues people have been having with the DW sheets... I may be about to jinx myself now a I have to set one drawer off as soon as the sun is well n truly up, but a 1/2 sheet works well in my dish drawers. I haven't had a problem thus far.

Wondering why it's a dot com site and not a dot com dot AU?

I was wondering the same thing and find it concerning that you didn’t receive a reply.

That's ridiculous, it just means they are hoping to go international one day. For any "site" you have to pay money, so why have multiple when you can have 1

Why does Lucent Globe recommend that their dishwashing detergent sheets NOT be used in Fisher & Paykel dish drawers? What problems may occur? I bought the sheets before I read the info. I have used the sheets a few times (I use less than a ½ sheet cut into 8 pieces, e.g. I use 3/16ths of a whole sheet for one drawer. thank you!

Don’t use these sheets. They will ruin your machine which ends up with a fee for a technician to attend. They make too many suds. See my response below. Donna.

my Ilve dishwasher got problem with the draining pump, don't use it - too risky for dishwashers

My Asko dishwasher has stopped working after using these dishwashing sheets. The pump won't go off and the pipes and filter are clogged. The filter was filled with white fibrous gunk. Don't use them!

Exactly what happened to my ASKO today and $325 fee for technician!

Same here. Tried it with Smeg and Ilve dishwashers. Initially the Smeg one was all right, dishes weren't that clean but it worked; however after a few weeks, eventually the power button wouldn't even turn on because the filters were clogged. With the Ilve dishwasher, there was so much suds built up and the pump couldn't drain it. Won't ever buy and use these detergent sheets anymore. The eco-friendly and sustainability concepts are great, but product needs refining.

Yep, these stupid effing dishwasher sheets killed my Bosch dishwasher. Massive excess suds and after just 5 uses, the main pump short circuited and failed - $600 quoted repair and no guarantee that would fix it either. Had to buy a new dishwasher

Hi. Used a sheet in Bosch dishwasher and now have water not draining from bottom of dishwasher. Is this coincidental timing for a drainage issue or is it possible the laundry sheet has clogged the drainage? If it is connected to the laundry sheet, is there a fix for dissolving it? Thanks

According to the guy who repaired my dishwasher, these sheets cause a lot of foam which then shuts down the machine. Not sure if your dishwasher has the same set up but there is a sensor in the bottom which is possibly under water. Hope this helps

I had the same problem. Suds came out all over my floor and then my machine kept making a noise so I had to get a technician and said this product makes too many suds and should not be used. Only Finish as it doesn’t make a lot of suds. Ended in a $209 service call and they tried to tell me that my machine could have had a problem anyway so they aren’t interested in what I had to say. I sent another email saying I can get a full report from the technician but they just ignored me. Anyone that uses this product will end up with their machine playing up. Their after sales service is so unprofessional. You try to do the right thing and you end up with your machine getting ruined. It took the technician two pre-rinses to try to get the suds out but there was some still there so I had to do it twice a day for two days. We will see more posts like this eventually. Donna.

I tried a box of these sheets, seemed great to begin but I’ve had to strip and clean white gunk out of my dishwasher and hoses. I think I have it all now. Never had an issue before using these sheets. This is on a Bosch dishwasher, and kept giving me the E:25 error for a blocked pump. I appreciate what these guys are trying to achieve, but for the sake of ruining a +/- $1000 appliance to save a few dollars on detergent. I’ll stick to the recommended detergent. Cheers

Why is there so many suds left in my dishwasher are it’s cycle has finished.A only using half a sheet .?

Dette

Tim, I really think it’s got to do with the amount of water either getting into your dw, or whether the dw is able to drain the wash water properly before starting on a rinse. Double check all the filters, and maybe don’t use an Econo wash, if you haven’t tried that. It could just be a computer glitsch, so maybe turn it off at the switch so it reboots?

Don’t use them. They make too many suds. My technician said to get rid of them. My machine had a fault due to these sheets and I had to pay over $200 to get it fixed. Threw the whole box out. If you keep using them you will be up for a visit from your dishwasher repair service. Good luck.

Why are they suds still in my dishwasher are it’s cycle is done?

Dette

I’m not getting this with my new dishwasher and these sheets, Tim, and we are on tank water. We always look at whether there is a blockage or dirt in the inlet pipe/hose, causing poor water pressure. (A builder installed our dw in a unit we owned by dragging the pipe through the dirt under the house, I think.) Sometimes with my old dishwasher and with dw detergent capsules, I had a poor rinse, and I put it down to how I stacked the dishwasher, too full and/or with too many large pots, so the rinse cycle couldn’t work well. The other reason could be if the washing water isn’t draining quickly. If the suds are just in the bottom of the dishwasher, it could be that the dishwasher filter needs cleaning. The one we had in the unit had like a double filter… the one you would logically remove to get bits of food out, and a finer one under that, that needed unscrewing, from memory.

Has anyone had an issue with their dishwasher not working after using this product? I think it's damaged our brand new dishwasher (few months old). I've only been using these sheets about 3-4 weeks and it can't be a coincidence that I'm getting an error message on the machine? I could also smell a burning smell when using these and that never happened when using another store-bought brand before.

Yes! First time I used the sheets last night with a dishwasher that's only 2 years old and it stopped mid cycle with constant beeping which it had never done before. Suds inside were overflowing and despite leaving the suds to disappear overnight, the dishwasher is still not working and stuck in an error code. I did all the troubleshooting as per the manual but unfortunately I had to call a repair guy to come out later today. Worst decision I ever made. Tried to do something positive for the environment and the wallet only for it to cost me hundreds of dollars!! Reading the other reviews (which I wish I had of done more thoroughly before purchasing these sheets) I doubt we'll get any assistance from the business.

Did you use a fisher and paykel dishwasher? It says on their website not to use them. I've had no problems with my dishwasher and has always worked great

My LG has the same issue, works for a few cycles - then errors out saying there are too many suds.

These sheets produce too many suds in the dishwasher and ends up in a mucky mess in the pipes and the dishwasher can’t flush it out. After a friend had this problem and reading other people having to have repairs done to fix their dishwasher I have decided to stick with Finish without any problems.

We’ve done three washes with our 12 year old Asko and its just started leaking water and suds onto the timber floor. Wish I had read this review before buying!

I have just had this exact issue, blocked machine & leaking all over the floor. Can’t fix have to get a new dishwasher. I imagine this will also be an issue for my new fisher & pakel washing machine!! Not using sheets again.
