support worker, I apply and I hear NOTHING. No replies to my applications, I'm just basically feeling ignored. While dozens of support workers apply for the few jobs that are listed, Mable does not highlight you even if you have 5 star reviews for providing the exact same support to others. Mable does not help you get any work or help you to be successful with applications, you are basically begging in the applications for a job. There are now about 50 support workers in my area, Mable just keeps signing people up and the area is saturated. Don't bother signing up. You will not get any work. Go elsewhere.
The only thing I got was horrible staff members who don’t care about the disable. Complete waste of my time. I need zero stars. When speaking to the supervisor they don’t listen but dictate what to do. Money money money is what they want from you. Glad to leave.

Loads of HowTo files that are easy to understand. I haven't done it yet, but you are able setup a circle of friends and communicate with. I have to try that out before making an assessment but it looks a good idea to use. My Assistant workers are just so friendly and great company, what more can I say? I love the system.

If you deal with a reputable company you won't have any problems, however if you do an agreement with a rogue provider beware. I have an overdue account from the 16th July 2025 that will never be paid, it might only be $200 but to a sole trader it means a waste of your valuable time and resources. you can be lured into danger by any person either in person or via video call because any individual can make a profile pretending to be a client.
Update April 2026: The invoice was paid in full thanks to a case partner following up for me with the client's plan manager. I will say this whilst I'm not a superstitious person I did have a minor car collision on the first day of heading to this job. That was an Omen for what was to come which was 2 months of disputed invoices and the invoices that were paid were adjusted leaving me with a lower agreed hourly rate. The other reason given for not being paid in a timely manner was that I had charged over the NDIS pricing limits which was untrue. Sometimes the signs are there for us, not everybody is ethical.

worker I hired to do my garden was a no show the second time after changing the time and then not bothering to show up. Mable then supposedly sent me a $50 credit to 'trial a new worker' I eventually did and she is great but no $50 credit was provided and no response to my email asking why.
Follow-up · I never heard any more from Mable about my $50 credit (which has now expired) I find their website very hard to follow and I seem to get random messages about when my support worker is coming. Be aware if you book through Mable there is no ongoing support from the organisation and you may or may not get a good support worker

invoices in time and other reasons. The worker was pushy, controlling, and made big assumptions about her role, even though I told her I'm still interviewing and trialing people.
She quickly turned a role advertised at 1 - 2 hours per week into wanting 8 hours for only the first few days. She also turned a weekday job into only wanting to meal prep on a weekend when the hourly rate is extreme. I checked with my coordinator and she said absolutely NOT! Anyway, long story short, I received some very alarming, controlling and rude essay-length texts from the support worker. This stemmed from me asking her to send me a grocery list price for approval and she ignored the instructions. The worker admitted she takes clients off the app. However, she's still on there. Now the worker has disappeared and refuses to bill me for the session, despite emailing and following up.
I tried to raise this issue with Mable via multiple channels and didn't receive any email response. I was told I can speak to somebody over the phone only. After explaining the issue and accessibility/disability as it relates to phone calls, I still haven't received a resolution.
Despite that vulnerable experience, I decided to keep trying Mable and spoke to a few workers who were ready to start over a week ago. However, my profile is still not approved so I can't go ahead with arranging supports in a time of need.
I'd love to be able to have my profile verified so I can use supports on my plan through Mable. It has been so stressful as a first experience and my intro to finally asking for help. I was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2017 and have secondary conditions as a result of treatment, so I really could benefit from the assistance.

emailing, live chat, and calling twice, one being transferred twice and the other the call left on “ringing endlessly”, so I decided to hang up 5 minutes later. Called again and was on hold for 17 minutes and had to leave, so I hung up. I eventually heard back from someone via email only for them to gaslight me, telling me that I wasn’t banned when I sent proof of the screenshot that I was indeed, banned. I’ve added the screenshot in my review as they will most likely, try to continue to gaslight.
When you have a problem with a support worker, it goes completely ignored and dismissed, and I’ve had quite a few. Now I’m the one banned from using their services because of this worker. Will be taking this further with the help of my therapist.

NDIS has confirmed that there is no regulation preventing the son's girlfriend from providing support; however, Kevin fails to acknowledge the NDIS statement, implying that NDIS is incorrect and the person I spoke with at NDIS was uninformed. The termination of the support worker compromises the participant's health and wellbeing, causing the family undue stress.

However, the financial and invoice support is very disappointing. The invoice and payment follow-up process is slow and lacks proper support for sole traders. I experienced unpaid invoices for several months, and despite contacting the invoice and plan management teams multiple times, the issue was not resolved in a timely manner. There was poor coordination between Mable, the plan manager, and the invoice team, which placed unnecessary stress on me as a support worker.
As a sole trader, timely payment is essential, and the lack of effective financial support is a serious concern. Mable has potential, but the financial and invoice system needs significant improvement to properly support workers.

follow through on my word of leaving a bad review I have expressed in multiple emails about needing to be paid due to Christmas, bills, kids etc, to be sent the same email multiple times. The client I worked with has left Mable because of their incompetence. 0 care factor for their workers, if an incident occurs dont even bother reporting it, you'll be met with oh, thats not our issue. I signed up as a Support Worker with a Cert 111 in individual support. Be prepared for 10 plus people to apply for jobs as soon as they are advertised. I had to drop my hourly rate as other people offer lower rates to get the work. I’m still waiting for payment from 3 weeks ago. Don’t rely on getting paid anytime soon. I will be leaving Mable as it’s not reliable. The app is also not user friendly.
