Works great for the price you pay – Decently priced grinder, works well. I used it to cut steel brackets to mount my outdoor umbrella on my deck and to cut some steel frames to build a canopy on my ute. obviously gets very hot very quickly as expected but overall good product. shame it has been discontinued

Reliability questionable – The grinder is a good size with adequate power. It is well balanced and a pleasure to use.. The guard needs a screwdriver to change its position. It would have been better if it didn't need a tool to adjust like in some other brands. The price is reasonable but others like the AEG have a more powerful motor and come with a 3 year warranty compared with the Makita one year. I have had four Makita power tools over the years. Two angle grinders, a laminate trimmer and a power planer. On all but the planer the armature has burnt out. I do not use these in a trade environment but only at home.
I am carefully to not overload my tools and I wonder if I have been unlucky or if the quality is not there. Price, balance and performance Adjustment of the guard and the perceived reliability
Good – This is a really good Grinder for its price its physical size is only slightly bigger than a 100mm (4")grinder which makes it easy to use for long periods of time. Its 710w motor has plenty of power but not so much that it becomes dangerous I use these in trade conditions and they have proven really strong and reliable. The only bad things are the power switch gets a bit hard on your thumb after repeated use, the handle is cheap plastic and a bit small but for its price it is ok and the lockingpin can be tricky to engage. Overall I would recommend this grinder for its value for money. Price wise it would be one of the best on the market Its small size,Its priceand its reliability The handle, locking pin and the switch

Comes with 3 grinding wheels ...I would like to have seen a cutting wheel in there too....maybe two of each instead !
