Maxkon WIFI Wireless Weather Station
MPN: CZS-2268874 reviews
Expensive and unreliable weather station – Under two years old and bits started falling off the outdoor unit letting water into the sensors and rendering some of them useless. The eBay supplier did respond to communication but declined to offer any replacement and suggested I order a new unit. It is not going to happen, the unit was over $200 and supposedly marked down from $400+ Not good value at all. I would not recommend this product.
Purchased in for $215.
Stopped Working – Lasted about 3 months then the outdoor station disconnected from the indoor, tried everything to reconnect and it will not work. Seems to be a common issue. I'd avoid this product.
Purchased in for $150.
Less than useful – Outdoor temp and wind direction work OK but no wind speed or rain measurements. Connecting to wifi to get auto time seems impossible.
Maxkon Weather Station – It's not easy to set up as instructions only tell you it needs to be aligned North/South after installing and set up is not user friendly. After fixing that it then wouldn't connect to WIFI or the display console. All I could get was indoor temperature which a $2 thermometer will tell me. Connecting to a Weather App was also user unfriendly. It registered the station but nothing on there either how to connect to internet even in FAQs. So no display of weather up on roof or anything useful. A bit of a web search will tell you different weather stations are prone to losing connectivity, cost a lot and don't last very long. It's best just to look out of the window if you want an accurate weather reading. PS These are also sold under other names.
