McAfee Withholding Refund Post-Cancellation (Case 05640484) McAfee is currently withholding A$204.95 from me in clear breach of their own written policy and Australian Consumer Law. The Facts: - 4 May 2026: Support agent [Name Removed] sent written confirmation that a full refund for Order PL3825577867 was successfully processed. - The Promise: I was told funds would reflect in 3 to 5 business days. - The Penalty: McAfee immediately cancelled my LiveSafe subscription, leaving my devices completely unprotected. - The Reality: It has been over two weeks. No money has arrived. McAfee has effectively cut off my service while keeping my funds. Standard support lines offer no real answers. If this matter is not resolved immediately by their senior billing team with a valid transaction ARN tracking number, this case will be escalated as a formal complaint to the ACCC and Fair Trading for misleading conduct under the ACL. On Friday 13th June 2025 I purchased this with 5 Devices for 1 year from Blitzhandel24 for 17.67 so I could protect my devices from hackers, malware and viruses since I mostly download online. I would definitely recommend buying this because it includes a Firewall when BitDefender doesn't.
McAFEE SECURITY POOR SERVICE NO ACCESS – I would give zero stars for this company whose website will not provide contact information of email address or website, nor option to cancel subscription after their program failed to provide the security promised and would not load. Called up the 1800 number ( not Sydney but India) and the response was a male who provided no help whatsoever.. could not answer question as to whether one could CANCEL through the log on into account as no search engine and no apparent option to cancel only to switch off auto renewal.
Am sick and tired of these companies who are quick to sell a product but who fail to provide adequate service or contact and no updates for months after payment. Tried contacting them in November 2023 but no success and again recently 4 months later and still the same. Cannot even cancel the subscription
Lots of Pop Ups Advertising other McAfee Products – This product covers a lot of good things, AV, Firewall, etc, however all the good things it does is overtaken with the pop ups, it is very noisy with pop ups advertising other McAfee products. It also wants you to have auto-renew enabled, if you don't there is another pop up to bug you about it. I bought this product to protect my computer and reduce pop ups, not cause them
