Why are you falsely advertising "refillable" McKenzies Natural Sea Salt grinder (410g) when you know it is Not?!! I bought this item a few months ago, tried to open the top many times without success. I will never buy this product again as it is not environmentally friendly at all. Will have to throw away the empty grinder- very unsatisfactory

It's not hard to remove the top once you know how. Simply prize the top up a bit using the side of a soup spoon handle. Once you manage to lift it up about 5 or 6 millimeters simply unscrew it . Once you've done this once ,the next time you can just unscrew it without having to prize it up . It's not as hard as it first seems . I hope that this method works for you as it did for me . Kind regards Colin James

Thanks Colin. That worked a treat! It is still dishonest of McKenzies to advertise these grinders are 'refillable' when they build in stoppers to prevent you doing just that. It is not accidental that they can't easily be opened. False advertising. And false justifications in this message stream from the company too. Lucky you solved it!

Thank you Colin, I used a small cocktail fork just above the McKenzie label and just as you said it was then easy to release.
