First off, communication was abysmal. It often took days and the replies were often vague and dismissive.

As for the services promised, they were far from delivered. I was sold a vision of a strategic marketing plan tailored to my needs, but what I received was a generic approach that didn’t align with our goals at all. Deadlines were continuously missed, and the quality of work was subpar. I even found myself having to redo much of their work to meet my standards.

When I raised my concerns, I was met with defensiveness rather than any willingness to make things right. It felt like my feedback was being brushed aside, and I was left feeling undervalued as a client.

In hindsight, I wish I had done more research before choosing Megaphone Marketing. If you're considering them, I urge you to think carefully. My experience has been a costly lesson ( $35,000.00 without a single sale and without a winner of completion they ran for 3 months ) and I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and professional marketing partner. The reason I decided to outsource my marketing was so that I could delegate to someone I trusted and let them handle every aspect of the marketing so I could focus more on other areas of the business. I only realised that something was very seriously wrong when there were invoices to be paid and no more money left in the business account.

When I started to investigate where the money had gone I was absolutely devastated to realise that for months Megaphone had been running my ads at a loss. When I calculated the cost of advertising, the cost of goods, the time that went into packaging, the shipping costs, the wages and utilities we had lost over $40,000. When I brought this to Megaphone‘s attention they were very apologetic and offered me free service for one month. I was not happy with the situation but I was promised that things would quickly turn around and I would start to make my money back.

Fast forward two weeks later and there were no sales coming into the business so I opened the marketing accounts once again. I was horrified to see that nearly all of our marketing budget was allocated to a product which had been out of stock for the last two weeks. The cost of acquisition was running at $100 per sale. I was absolutely gutted. They ran our small family business completely into the ground. I have since had to take out a business loan to get my once very profitable business back on track and it will take us about a year before we even get to the point we were at before we employed Megaphone marketing.

They used to be a very good marketing company but they have grown very quickly over the last couple of years and I get the impression that they are outsourcing all of the campaign management to a third party. The emotional and financial toll has been horrific. If I could be bothered to go through the process I would be suing for damages but I have decided to just focus on moving forward and I do not have the strength to go through any more dramas with this agency.

account manager went on holidays, "the stand in people" were well briefed and also available and very quick to respond to any requests. - They helped build our new Shopify site and transfer away from the clunky Magento platform - During Covid they lowered their fees to help us out through the initial 3 months when our sales fell drastically. - I have personally recommended them to numerous people, friends, relatives and colleagues. - Like all agencies and suppliers they are not going to be a 'perfect fit' for every business. Before selecting any advertising supplier I recommend really taking a hard look at your business needs, investment budget, ability to sustain negative returns in the initial period, having realistic expectations, examining their case studies and track record and working with them - treating them as an extension of your team. The more they know and understand the more likely you are to achieve success.

that this was only accidental. As supposed google ad professionals how does this go unnoticed? They just use automatically generated progress reports and don't care about your account after the ads have been set up they're just happy to keep billing you. Terrible service.

Terrible, run for your life – 4 months with Megaphone marketing and they cannot even make 1 lead. spelling mistakes, I guarantee they were written by offshore workers. All their google reviews are fake, written by staff or friends, just check and see why all the negative reviews have heaps of likes or search some of the 5 star Google review on LinkedIn and it'll show they work at megaphone

Never been so disappointed in a service before especially at the ridiculous cost they try to charge you. I never write reviews but I just couldn't stand here and do nothing when a scum company like this steals money from small Australia business. Stay away at all cost.

Exceptional team and results – I've tried 4 agencies over my 3 years in Ecommerce and switched to Megaphone in around March of this year. At the time we were turning over around $650k per month. 7 months later we are hitting $1.3m and we aren't done yet. Megaphone are not afraid to scale! Everyone I have delt with there has been great. they're very incompatible with small businesses and lack professionalism. Don't be fooled by their reviews, as the majority of them are written by employees, friends, or family. Initially, I thought they gave me a discounted package, but after a week, I found out that another client paid half of what I did and received more services. Contrary to their claims, their team is far from being top in the industry. We had an account manager who was a recent university graduate lying about their experience in the company. I suspect they overburden and overwork their recently graduated account managers, which may explain their lack of experience and unprofessionalism. I don't believe that they have a design or copywriting team. If they do, they're probably from Fiver as the quality of their work was unacceptable.

The results were terrible, and their entire strategy was based on making our products 30% off. They had no understanding of our brand's values and services. The communication was also bad, and they suggested changing the account manager. The second account manager was manipulative and always tried to change the results. For example, he tried to include our in-store sales in their campaign results to make the ROAS higher, but when I confronted him, he tried to change the subject. Moreover, their designs were terrible and lacked our brand elements, taken directly from Canva.

Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this agency to any small business owner. Instead, small businesses are better off hiring a freelancer for a fraction of the cost, and they'll receive much better service. Take the time to research any agencies or service providers you're considering working with and carefully review their credentials, testimonials, and portfolio before making a commitment. That way, you can feel more confident that you're working with a reputable and reliable provider who genuinely wants your business to succeed.

budget lost unnecessarily. The quality of their creatives were almost laughable, out of trend and were not usable. Working with them did not take away our ads job but created more as constant prompting and help were needed. We still had to run our own ads as their ads were not performing. Strategist would often come into meetings unprepared, with no accountability for non-performance or any costly mistakes. It was the worst investment for our 10 years old business.

Poor results – Everyone that I came into contact with at Megaphone were friendly however the results were very underwhelming. Our business spent a significant amount of money with this agency and they really didn’t achieve the targets that were discussed. We were able to achieve much better results after leaving this agency without having to pay their hefty fees every month.

Completely incompetent – They took thousands from me and didn't even get me one client. They put over $500 into multiple ad campaigns that were getting only 3 clicks on average. Terrible marketing agency - stay away – I signed up with Megaphone Marketing - what a mistake. Despite very high fees they achieved absolutely nothing for me. This was a complete waste of money, time and energy. Added to that is the arrogance they display. They don't respond to emails or phone messages. Very frustrating. Very rude. They continued charging me after I had put my account on hold. Stay away. You can find other marketers for less that half the cost.
