You shouldn't need any more than 6L. I would not recommend using any less than 5L

what is causing the rough idle: bub burb burb burb, car nudging forward, nod nod nod nod, when there should be a smooth purr. only when slight accelerator pedal is applied does burb burb nod nod bob bob stop. car then drives well when in motion.

no answer yet. i could take a guess as my other c200K is showing signs of doing the same at 135K i think its wear in the supercharger but cannot qualify that. ive changed coils, plugs, cleaned the MAF, checked every OBD sign. no answer.
Same..usually under acceleration at about 2000rpm. Is very annoying and not what a merc should be. Some say engine mounts, others exhaust leak. Please, someone has an answer. C class avantgarde 118k
mine is constant at idle 800RPM in gear at the lights. once moving no problem.
Why does my C200 2005 W203 Kompressor indicate malfunction "battery alternator visit workshop" After stalling then after I turn off check battery voltage it shows 12.7 v Then I restart car and battery voltage rises to 14.2 v. Stalls again after 50 metres with same message.. I restart after suddenly "no malfunction " shows up and no problem now after driving again for 20 kilometres. Started ok next day without any problem. Have driven further 45 kms. with no further indication of any problem. Why would this happen ?? Have had car for over a year with no such problems apart from malfunction "indicator lamp left mirror" malfunction which was incorrect Car has done only 118000 kms.?? Why does this happen then the fault suddenly disappears ?? Are "malfunction messages" often incorrect.??

I have a 2008 and I am still happy with it. But it depends what you want to do with it. I would like cup holders ! and an internal boot opening from time to time. Other than that it is quiet, comfortable and good aircon in the back for my pooch. Not much legroom if you have passengers. :) Mine has very low miles around 50, 000 I think, but I drive it rarely. good luck with your purchase.
my 2007 c200K just let me down big time. would not start one morning. chugged and coughed but would not idle. did get it going and seemed ok. did this 3 times. then would not even chug. 2 days later the mechanic rings. "are you sitting down" he said. cam adjuster sprockets stripped off, chain buggered, all valves bent, no compression, crank sprocket damaged, head off, numerous other plastic gears and what not damaged. cost looking like AU$8-10000 only now i discover this is a global scandal. 130000Kms??
my 2009 c200k, 110000Ks is probably facing the same fate. should i piss them off??
Same happened to me with a Holden - it can happen to any make of car - I love Mercedes and wouldnt buy any other car
thanks for the reply Jo. i get the car back on monday. im told its running again but needs anew air duct from grille to intake filter. i will assess my position after ive had the car back for a few weeks.
Car been back many times, to get throttle cleaned, injectors cleaned, MAF sensor cleaned, second set of plugs done, new coils and still no one knows why car goes Burb Burb Burb Burb on idle, only to be told engine blocks are the problem, but i cant see why the rough idle and burb burb is the result of engine blocks, why then was it not present the day before the engine blew up and began the day after the engine was rebuilt. besides the burb burb burb can be heard clearly standing behind the tailpipe where once there was a purr like a cat.
