Bought my MGI AT Navigator 12 months ago. Very satisfied with how it has performed during this time. The only thing I wasn't aware of was the damage to my new Mizuno clubs. The MGI travels at much greater speed than I can walk. The clubs tend to… Read more
thrash around in the bag, which is quite audible when traversing over very rough terrain, I can hear the club heads hitting each other. Though I have Mizuno boot covers on all my irons, they don't dampen impacts. Sadly the back of three of my clubs is dented. This doesn't affect their play, but certainly does impact on their resale value. I raised the issue with Mizuno (Australia) and Drummond (Osborne Park, WA), but all I got from Mizuno was an AI response informing me to go back to the place of purchase. So I took my clubs into Drummond Golf (Osborne Park, WA) and simply they said there was nothing either they or the Mizuno Australia rep could do to help. So I'm writing this post to see if anyone out there has experienced similar issue?
Follow-up · I have the MGI Dry Play (Black/Blue) golf bag. I haven't tried another bag and probably wont given Mizuno (or Drummond Golf) went silent after I raised the issue about club damage. I find the MGI bag and accessories are ok but lack ergonomic features. For example the side storage compartments just fit my shoes. I often struggle storing and… Read more
This buggy is great while it works. I have had it for three years and four months and have travelled 165km in that time, equating to approximately 20 games, (never in the rain). Not long ago while playing golf the machine just packed it in without warning early in a game. Not an easy piece of equipment to lug around for 16 holes. I took it back to… Read more
the place of purchase to have a rep of MGI to give it a look over. The result was a totally fried motor controller and battery. The repair was expensive MGI warranty department wiped their hands of it as it was four months out of warranty, Customer service was a little more forgiving and gave me a small discount. Subsequent to the repair I was told by two other members of my club who whoes motor controller fried just before the three years were up and were repaired under warranty. On further research I have found on other golf forums that others have identified similar problems to me. I have done some research on expected life of electric carts and the general norm is between 7 to 10 years. This unit doesn't make it to half the expected lifespan.
Have returned the AI unit TWICE due to whining noise after only 6 uses. Since I threw original box away had to purchase a new box for $75 to return unit for service with no reimbursement from MGI. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with the entire AI unit. It works like a dream when not making a serious noise when moving. Show details

Best gift ever! – I live in Indiana and writing this in December because I couldn’t wait to give my new NAVIGATOR AT a try. Admittedly, I only got in 12 holes before dark but it was enough to tell I’m really going to like this thing. In just a couple of hours I’ll tell you what I learned. Keep your finger on the STOP button. I actually learned this one during… Read more
the unboxing. I even read about this one I. Another review and still got burned. After the battery charges up I couldn’t wait to try it. Reverse …. So far so good! Forward …. Ran right over the Christmas tree. Holding forward down is how you speed it up.
For some reason my brain translates the left and right button backwards which is a part of my second lesson …. There isn’t really any need to let this thing get too far ahead of you. It’s winter in the Midwest so it’s wet. I know water is this toys nemesis so I was paying extra attention to avoid puddles. Problem is when I let the thing get too far ahead I couldn’t see the ground water as well and when I needed to make a “quick right” half the time it went left. Me just being an idiot. Oh and when it is far away (I can’t believe the range on this thing) and it has to go over hills where I can’t see the ground all I could think was “what the h#*l are you doing!!”
After 3 holes I was done playing with it making it drive here and there and I got down to really using it. Lesson 3. Find your speed. I think I’ll probably be spending 80 % of the time walking behind this like a propelled mower. Most of my walking time I found no real need to use the remote. What I found is my speed is a 10. At 12 I feel like I’m jogging! I’m actually hoping this helps with my pace!
Two places I found the remote to be really useful … 1. No more hitting a wedge and then walking my bag somewhere between the green and next tee box. Now I can use the wedge and then just grab my putter. I’m really going to have to avoid driving this thing to the next tee while my partners putting! 2. My eyes don’t keep up with my long clubs anymore and anything I hit over 150 yards I can just about guarantee I’ll have to guess where it landed pacing back and forth in the rough like a lost chicken. I realize now that’s the part of my game that wears me out the quickest because I’m pushing my cart around at the same time. Now I can just steer my bag down the middle of my ball flight and when I finally find my ball I can call the AT over to me!
Speaking of the rough I ran this guy through the heaviest grass I could find; over a few sticks by accident; up and down all the hills I could find directly and sideways.; and over the cart paths at every kind of angle I could think of. This guy never missed a beat and I never felt like it was going to tip. Hit one pretty deep pothole on the side of the cart path which left it on a pretty steep angle but it stayed on all four wheels.
My biggest concern about buying this model was whether it would fit in my trunk. Happy to say it fits just fine although it is heavy! But not much heavier than my bag so i think that’s a wash. My last lesson for my quick day is you need to bring a brush with you on a wet day. The back wheels are huge and can really hold on to debri. Would have liked to have brushes them off before putting it back in the trunk.
Realistically, I expect this to drop my score 0 strokes and I don’t expect I’ll play anymore because I’m faster or less tired after a round. But I already know my rounds are going to be so much more fun until I drive this thing into a pond or over the foot of my playing partner.
Do Not Buy – I do not write reviews however I am compelled to write a review about a MGI Golf product. I bought a MGI ZIP NAVIGATOR AT from Drummond in Mitcham on the 3rd April 2021 for $1,900. In that time I have done a sum total of 394km - which is just shy of 130kms per year or about 13 rounds of golf per annum. On Wednesday (19th June) was advised by MGI… Read more
that the motor controller needed to be replaced as the buggy was not working when I plugged in battery. Upon inquiry as to why it was not working (as I had only done low KMs on the buggy) I was advised by their service department that it was ‘luck of the draw’.
As I am outside their warranty period of 3 years, by 1 month and 16 days (go figure), I had to say goodbye to $385 to have the motor controller replaced. Therefore I can only offer my advice to those considering purchasing a MGI buggy in the future – DO NOT BUY as the quality of this product clearly does not match the price tag and you would be well advised to consider an better value alternative.
Great buggy we have 2 – I have had a Zip Navigator now for over 4.5 years never had any issue's the buggy has been a dream. Purchased another Zip Navigator for my 8 year old son just recently so he can play 18 holes full course and still have the energy levels to finish off his round. His Zip Navigator has had some minor cosmetic changes to mine which are great. The… Read more
remote control gives you the added freedom on the course which allows for a quicker round and is great in the rain as you can have the umbrella on the buggy protecting your clubs keeping them dry whilst you walk down the fairway with another umbrella - best rain caddy ever. Not that I have needed it but we have a great MGI service centre locally and can source all spare parts that maybe required. Some people say they are unstable but it is my opinion that you must use the buggy in accordance with the conditions and terrain. Steep hills or side slopes you remain close to the buggy supporting the handle if needed and adjust your speed accordingly.

Why did I wait?? – Just got the MGI navigator plus and it’s my first electric buggy. I love it! Easy to assemble and pack up, the gps is accurate and it’s easy to drive. I wish I did it sooner! Show details
remote control wont recharge – My aging remote control just own recharge any longer no matter what I do {apart from pulling it apart}. Any clues other than replacing it? Show details
Game Changer – I am a 70 year old with a chronically bad back and was struggling at the end of a round. The MGI Zip Navigator has changed that to the degree where I have gone from a 20'ish handicap down to 13! If you are struggling either pushing or pulling a buggie I absolutely recommend you try a MGI Zip Navigator.

What a disappointment this trolley has been I purchased it new from Drummond’s 3 years and 5 months ago and the gear box failed and it cost me $300 for the repair bill The cart is used once a week so much for their quality Show details
Don't buy – MGI ZIP Navigator has just broken down before I completed a round of golf, not a great start. Retailer are quick to send you off to the nominated repairer. Not full of confidence as he didnt have a glue but no choice but to leave it there. Show details
Downgraded new model Zip navigator – My 10 year old navigator folds up and locks into place for easy lifting and placing into the back of the car. The new model is very awkward , it is a step back in maneuverability when packing. Show details

Top of the line MGI....cant use it after 10 months – This is a great product....when it's working. I bought this new from the PGA Superstore and when I opened it up...it was missing the fold-down stabelizing wheel. It was unsable until MGI sent the missing wheel. Annoying...but not the end of the world. One of the locking pins for the folding arm broke rendering it usable until the replacement… Read more
part arrived. Now, after 8 months, the cart just randomly stops - multiple times on every hole. In addition, the cart frequently does not respond to the remote (not good when it's headed towards a creek or lake and you have to run it down to stop it). I've reset the cart and remote several times....and the batteries for both are fully charged.....but still no change. Technical support has been slow.....still waiting to hear back. I paid $1500 for a new cart an it is currently usable.
PS. Hold on to the box as they wont cover shipping charges to a service center if it is not shipped in the original box
Water!!! – I have a new one on 11/2022, Water will into motor/gearbox and damage them. Don't waste your money. Show details
Mgi Zip just turned off won't turn on – I recently bought an Mgi zip navigator. I played 1 full 18 hole game without a problem. On my 2nd game the trolley just stopped on the 1st tee and the display screen just turned off even though I had a full charged battery and it has since stopped responding or turning on.
Motor Controller problem – I have an MGI All Terrain. I replaced it under warranty and received a new one, but it turned off after a few yards and I was told it was the motor controller so I replaced it and after using it for 2 rounds it stopped working again. Costco sent me another cart and after 2 rounds it stopped working as well. There must be a defect in the controllers. I'm awaiting a new one from Costco, but MGI customer service is horrible. weekend golfer's best buddy – its small and easy to fold, great to fit in the car
Zero Service – Rear wheel came off and nearest MGI service tech is over 200 miles away roundtrip. I live in Los Angeles, not in the middle of nowhere. I contacted MGI but they were no help whatsoever. I would not buy this product. If you do, you better hope nothing needs service. Show details
After (5) Rounds it Needed Service – I think this is a well-designed machine, but after (5) rounds of golf it started having a hard time turning to the right. The next I went to use the machine and it would track straight, only turned in circles and the issues were so bad I couldn’t use it. The next day I tried the self-tracking mode, and it was taking hard and left turns and almost… Read more
hit a car in my apartment parking garage.
I contact customer support and received a reply from “[Name Removed] goodmanron@sbcglobal.net” and he was not a very friendly person and was very put out he had to help me. He sent me a label to have the unit shipped from Seattle to Oceanside CA FEDEX ground. The day the shipment arrived I emailed [Name Removed] asking to verify it had arrived and hopefully let me know what was wrong and when it would ship back.
It seems that [Name Removed]’s customer relations is so poor that he never responded and shipped the package. Now the cart is lost in the FEDEX we do not know where the package is and I haven’t been able to use my $1,800 cart for 2-weeks.
Game Changer – I was fortunate enough to win an MGI Zip Navigator. Hadn’t considered one before but it makes golf fun again. I can focus on choosing the right club and playing my own game. No more lugging a cumbersome buggy up hilly courses. The Zip Navigator has lots of useful features, such as the ability to invert the rear wheels for easier transportation and… Read more
the ability to use as a regular push buggy, if you happen to run out of battery. There’s also the gps holder that is included in the box, as well as all the accessories that can be purchased separately. If you are considering a new golf buggy, I suggest you take a look at MGI. The customer service I received was outstanding and the company takes a real pride in their products.

Nice product BUT – Bought the top of the range Zip Navigator; works well but is quite heavy to load in the boot for a 74 year old and takes up quite a bit of room. Also hope you don't have to make a warranty claim; you may be disappointed. I was driving it along remotely and carefully when it dipped into a hidden sprinkler head depression, bucked out of it and a… Read more
couple of spokes cracked on one wheel. Tried to make a warranty claim but "Sorry, it is normal wear and tear". In my opinion the wheels should be manufactured stronger than that. MGI wanted $100 for a replacement wheel. Finally reluctantly agreed to send one for $50. Not impressed with their attitude as the item was less than 6 months old.
The best golf purchase I have ever made – Purchased Zip Navigator AT 3 months ago and without doubt has proven to be a winner it takes my mind of bad shots, less fatigue and gives me the opportunity to concentrate on hitting more good shots and greater emphasis in fitness. Love it Show details
This is excellent makes walking the course so much more enjoyable – I used to struggle walking hilly courses using a push buggy. Hilly courses are now a breeze. You just walk behind the buggy without even having to worry about pushing your push cart. Great work mgi Show details
Great solution when you have a bad back – Having a bad back I found that being in a cart wasn't also the best for my golf and walking while pulling or pushing a buggy wasn't helping. Changed to the MGI Zip Navigator and my golf improved and I feel so much better after around. Show details
Excellent if you wish to walk the golf cart – Love the hand held controls, it has a lock so once you get use to it you lock the unit you can place in your pocket and not worry about the unit moving on you. The seat is a great add on on those days it is too hot and play is slow just park in the shade and Take a seat.
Helps me stay fit and healthy and carries my clubs! – THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR ME!! The MGI Zip Navigator is the most popular buggy amongst my golf group. There are approximately 9-10 of them in our group and by far the most liked amongst the brands in use. Very reliable and will go 36 holes on one charge. I have 712 miles on the buggy and going strong. One of my playing partners has almost 1000 miles on his Zip Navigator. Show details
