Customer service is third rate – Brought a MGI navigator 3 years and 3 months ago, spent ~$2,000 on it, did not use it for 18 months because of lockdowns, electronics unit is no longer working and has to be replaced (at a cost of $408), and MGI has said that they can not help... "Unfortunately due to the age of your buggy we're unable to supply a discount for this repair"... can… Read more
get a new buggy for $500 with new 12 month warrantee... will tell anyone I can to shop around and avoid MGI like the plague...
Thanks team
unreliable – Purchased the MGI Navigator as advised it was the best available on the Australian market over the cheaper alternatives. Beginning on 2023 I noticed a grinding sound when using the MGI Navigator and in June sent it in for a Checkup and see what the problem is. (Bear in mind I purchased it in 2019 and it have a 2 year rest during Covid lockdown).… Read more
Was advised the grinding sound was water damage and 2 x motors required replacing. Cost $650.00. When received I then noticed a clicking sound which got progressively worse and took it in again in January 2024. This time advised again water damage and repairs at a cost of $450.00. Tried to speak to the technical department who said they will call me back-to date zero callback. My concern is making and manufacturing a golf cart which can be exposed to water damage on a golf course!!! I thing they are just draining money for repairs due to a lack of proper design. When purchased I paid $1800.00 for the MGI, however there were cheaper alternatives, some around $300.00. Could have purchased 6 of the cheaper alternatives for the price of 1 MGI.Some of my golfmates have purchased the cheaper alternative and they have no problems. Bottom line be careful when you purchase an MGI, when there is a slight chance of rain dont use the buggy as it may get water damage. Consider the support who does not support you, rather advise you claim a new one via insurance. Totally terrible for the price paid.Would not advise you purchase before looking at alternatives.
If I could give the Zip Navigator AT minus stars, I would. Here’s why: 1. The Zip does not fold flat and does not fit in the car as easily as previous MGI buggies. It is really quite bulky and difficult to handle. 2. There is no carry handle. The Zip is a physiotherapist’s dream with all the backs requiring attention after constantly lifting… Read more
it without the appropriate carry handle.
3. The steering handle on the Zip is not rounded. Therefore, nothing at all can be attached to it, eg club cleaning rag, umbrella holder; also jumpers and jackets get caught in it every time you have to go from one side of the buggy to the other.
4. Going from one side to the other is necessary because the seat can only go on the right hand side with the sand bucket on the left (per the warranty). If you address the ball with the buggy behind you, this puts the sand bucket on the wrong side of the buggy when divots are to be filled. It sounds minor but this is a real nuisance.
5. The bar which holds the bucket and seat is too short which means the seat is too close to the golf bag if you wish to actually use it as a seat.
6. There are only two sockets for attachments – umbrella, drink holder, phone holder, score card holder – a choice must be made as to which two you can use. This is just ridiculous.
7. A separate special phone holder must be purchased because the one that comes with the buggy doesn’t hold a phone securely and the socket is far too flimsy. Go over a bump and the phone pops out of the supplied holder. This feature is particularly cheap.
8. Also the supplied phone holder is not permanent and has to be attached and detached and stored somewhere whenever you use it.
9. The battery is located at the back of the buggy where all the mud sprays up. Manual specifically states to not get the battery wet and yet it is located on the buggy to do just that - get wet.

Cracked screen after 3 rounds – Perspex screen cover cracked after 3 rounds. Makes reading the screen difficult. MGI service repairer advised my Golf Club Store (to which I sent the cart to as instructed by MGI) that it is not covered under guarantee and he could only replace it with a second hand screen once one becomes available. As the cart is less than 1 month old and the… Read more
crack was not caused by any fault of mine this is not a satisfactory solution. Rather disappointed with this offer.
Verdict is still out! – I liked the robust look, higher handle, and marginally better value compared to Motorcaddy, and Powercaddy. All good until it rained the 3rd time I used it. Next time out screen had misted up. No problem changing it for new one and so far it has been great, but waiting for the rain! Button controls could be better, as a lot of fiddling to change… Read more
mode when using, and setting distances particularly cumbersome, and slow compared to my previous 15 yr old trolley.
My Favorite Caddy – I´m really happy and satisfied with my MGI Zip Navigator. It´s very easy to handle and you can enjoy more the play because you dónt have to make aby load to move it.

Why wait to buy one – Put simply the Zip Navigator AT is a must have product. Build quality is second to none and ease of use is flaweless. I have had mine for nearly two years now so I can give a well balanced review. First of all I have to say that the battery life is incredible. I can get 72 holes in on one charge with pleny of juice left in the battery. The remote… Read more
lasts for well over 30 rounds of golf. It has certainly taken a few tumbles in it's time due to driver error and I have not had any issues with anything breaking it feels bullet proof. I certainly would recommend pointing it away from water hazzards when playing a shot and making sure the remote is locked. My playing partner one day was putting and accidently hit the forward button on teh remote which was in his pocket and I can attest when the are submerged in a lake they ceratrinly are not designed like a submarine. The amount of accessories are great. I have the seat which is superb and the sand bottle, glove clip and umbrella holder and extender which are all invaluble additions.
In summary if you struggle pushing a cart around up hills in the heat of summer or slogging around in the depth of winter save yourself the effort. I wish I had purchsed one years ago.
Good investment for an old guy who wants to keep walking the course – Fast and powerful. Good battery and remote life (2 to 3 rounds between charges). Pretty stable but could use wider front wheels. It will tip and if it does, you are likely to break the seat post. I broke mine on the second tipping. Replacement seat also broke during another tipping. I re-enforced the post with epoxy and long screws and it… Read more
hasn't broken since. It could use better storage. The Score card holder is a wasted use of the attachment. Seat compartment might be a bit taller so you could store more. A net or something like that would be helpful Charging port on the remote is not very sturdy. I broke mine after about 2 months. If you are not very careful when plugging it in, the will come loose and fall out. The stop/go/speed control button should be relocated to the side of the handle. I can't tell you how many times I have done a belly plant into the cart when I accidently hit the button while the cart was moving. The prices for the accessories are way high. ($35 for an umbrella extension?) But in spite of the above, I am glad I made the purchase!
Very capable buggy – Have owned a Navigator AT for about two months and glad I spent the extra for remote control. Compared it with a few carts (PowaKaddy CT6) and I think it’s good value for money. It also fits in to the boot of my small 2-series BMW coupe, with my clubs, so it’s quite compact. Battery barely depletes after 18 holes and cart is stable. Accessories… Read more
work really well - I got the seat, sand cage, drink holder and two umbrella holders (including extension). A couple of things to watch: one needs to register to get extended warranty, which is questionable under Australian consumer law in terms of it being binding; and while the cart is water resistant, MGI does not warranty it if they decide cart has been immersed. Having played in wet and muddy conditions, I worry about the warranty exclusions. I clean the buggy after every round, wipe it down with a water dispersant spray and apply grease to the axles. It’s a faff but gives me peace of mind. Would I buy again? Yes.

Wish I had done this earlier – Good power for my course, which has a hilly back nine. Remote is responsive and easy to learn. Wish there was a little more weight in the front - I "pop wheelies" on a regular basis. Still the rear (extendable) wheel is strong and eliminates tip overs. A bit more plastic on the chassis than I would like, but that keeps the weight down. Still testing wet conditions: light rain & light bog is ok, haven't had it out in a downpour. Show details
Great golf buggy, should of bought one sooner – The unit is very easy to unpack and assemble before play, round disappears before you know not having to push. It is not completely all terrain and can tip if you are not careful. I did have to calibrate mine but ever since it has driven straight. Calibration was very easy too. Hardest thing is remembering to charge it but i could nearly get 4 rounds if i pushed it will do 45 holes and only be at half charge. Show details · 2
Game improver – Since having the Navigator AT my handicap has come down by 4 strokes. I feel fresh and loose during and after the game. Try one and I am sure you will feel the difference. Show details

Disappointed is an understatement – I have had my MGI Zip 5 for a bit over 4 years and I have to say I do love it. However last year I suddenly needed a new gearbox. My buggy just completely stopped mid game - unfortunately no longer under their 3 year warranty- cost me $460. Now the battery is apparently faulty and I need a new one - another $400+ so all up around $900 to replace… Read more
these parts within 5 years which themselves only have a 12 month warranty. Very very disappointing to say the least

No brakes?? – This is the their top of the line buggy. On first use I noticed that while on a gentle slope lining up to tee off in a crowded area the buggy very slowly rolled forward. I was then looking for a brake. There's no brake. I contacted MGI and the reply was, you need to put the buggy at a 90 degree angle to the slope. That is a design flaw if you ask me. The manual doesn't mention the need to do that. Apart from that it works fine. Show details

Some distinct oversights – A good product that is severely let down by two glaring problems. Firstly, the rear (drive) wheels simply don’t have a tread that delivers traction in steep or damp conditions. And more seriously, the gps/phone cradle is the most useless and undercooked accessory in the range. It attaches to a flimsy hinged flap on the handle bar, and it simply… Read more
won’t hold the latest iPhone 13 Pro Max without being stretched. Any amount of bumpy terrain causes the phone to drop out. Why don’t these guys understand that, since COVID, we all use our phones to score rounds, and my phone costs more to replace than my MGI. It would be so easy to design a new cradle that attached to the accessory mounts like the scorecard holder. Overall, I’m way less impressed than I thought I would be.

The perfect golf buggy – This is a fantastic golf buggy. It is very quiet and the powerfull battery can easily last 3 rounds of golf. The remote control works flawless and I absolutely love the gyro system that keeps the buggy driving straight Show details

Zip Navigator poor design – Poor design , I was sold a Callaway golf bag and it didn't fit the buggy .Buggy arm adjusted downwards resulting in broken buggy , had to replace golf bag and re adjust arm upwards. Battery charger light failed , was advised by MGI to replace charger , light failed again after a while , Powergolf said it was just the charger light , I didn't need to replace the charger after all .
Great buggy except for clumsy hand and remote controls – Very touchy if trying to change speed when using hand control. Speed dial can increase the speed of unit rapidly or alternatively the sensitive touch of the controller can abruptly stop unit. I have had previous electric buggies which were much simpler and safer to use. Also the remote has similar sensitivity issues in particular if the lock… Read more

The Absolute Best Golf Buggy – I've had my MGI AT remote buggy for 3 months. It's allowed me to enjoy walking normally alongside of it instead of having to guide it. the spot which is great on the golf club verandah. The speeds are so well designed that I can go at 1 down to the club on a narrow path. Plus going downhill is relaxing as out slows automatically. I'm just about to buy the rain cover as I can't miss a day now with this great buggy. It's perfect and it has added even more delight to my game of golf. I ❤ Zippy.
Navigator AT gives your energy back when you need it most – The Navigator AT has given me another lease on life and now I'm able to fully enjoy my rounds of golf without being fatigued. I was getting worried about my health and my ability to continue playing 3 rounds a week due to fatigue pushing a buggy up hills, until I purchased the Navigator AT. MGI Zip Navigator Set Up – Great tutorial video, which made assembly of my new MGI Zip Navigator so easy. Everything I needed was included in the box and the instruction manual was easy to follow. Now fully assembled and battery/remote fully charged I took my MGI Zip for a test run and it was so easy to use and easy to navigate in tight spaces. Looking forward to golf on Thursday Show details

All Terrain – Does what it was made for, just what you need. Made it allot easier to have a round of golf. I was always tired lugging my club arround the course not anymore.
Ideal for a full round of golf – I bought this buggy because my course has some steep hills; one is directly in front of the tee so you have no idea of where the ball went. Trying to lug a bag of up to 15kg with a pull buggy wore me out and consequently my game would go downhill as the round progressed. Having the MGI Zip is a joy.
