Has potential, but some red flags and teething issues – PROS - good staff UI for inputting orders and KDS - good access to backend data for export - open API (not tested) - seems to have most of the features a hospitality venue needs - owner is also developer (and support?) so if you can get access to him, he will consider building features you need CONS - poor online documentation. When I couldn't work out how to do something, or a feature didn't work as expected, would have to email support and be told "you're not using it correctly". So forced to remember how to use the system, rather than be guided by documentation. - "cloud based" giving you the ability to edit online, but unable to edit if the POS device is not turned on. Not helpful if your business is closed for the evening and you are wanting to make edits overnight. - editing CMS i.e. for updating menu items, is on at HTTP url, which doesn't instil confidence in web security for this feature or other features on the platform. Still requires POS device to be turned on. - csv upload / download functionality has some teething issues that need to be fixed e.g. data downloaded doesn't match data that you'd upload, and product category edits not supported. - not as cheap as it seems - Unable to test all features in 14 day "FREE TRIAL" (need to pay), and - very limited support in Australia (Malaysia based with some lead time to response), so we were forced to pay for a subscription to test the product. - no phone based support - After trialling the product (for 24hrs) and finding issues with some features, and not ready to use the product, response from owner / support: "really sorry, but we have a strict no refund policy." This to us is the biggest red flag in using mobiPOS because the company appears to be more motivated by money with "strict policies" to keep your money, rather than helping the customer.

EXPERIENCE

Paid to test the product over 24hrs. Didn't find it met our needs or as polished / professional as alternative products, so engaged with support to request a refund, and was told that their policy is to keep the money.
