The installation process was seamless. The contractors were professional, thorough, and left the site spotless once the job was done. The electricians were also excellent — fast, professional, and took the time to explain the remotes and features clearly.
I’ve now had the shutters for a few weeks and they’ve already become one of the best features of my new home. The system is easy to use, with the option of controlling everything via the mobile app or the remotes. The finish is clean, they provide excellent block-out (perfect for night shift), and I couldn’t be happier with the result.
Highly recommend Modern for anyone considering roller shutters.

Four man contractors very poor, still awaiting repairs – Gutter + downpipe product quality good, BUT, four man contractors poor: multiple leaks and incorrect alignment. Requests to Modern to repair fallen on deaf ears.

in touch, they would call us back, a staff member was supposed to ring, the excuse they gave is their staff were out of town and not replying to text and emails. After submitting the review we agreed to mediation and again 3 phone calls of us chasing them finally someone would come out, after waiting 2 hours past the agreed time we rang and advised they did not turn up and we had left, he turned up anyway later and spoke to our daughter who didn't know the warranty issues and told her that we had no silicone in the blind tracks, which meant the the installer had failed to complete this step, he then went on to say he had some in his van but didn't get it he left and we did not hear from them again. Our blinds upstairs work well if there is a slight breeze they still function, modern products sales pitch is they test in tunnels of up to 110km but told us when he came to review the issue if their is a slight breeze you need someone on the outside to push on the blind to help the blind go up. Privacy and aesthetics ✅ – Great for privacy and looks very good. On installation day, there was a misunderstanding on how many windows to be installed. There was absolutely no communication. I had to ring them nearly every week to find out what was going on and [Name Removed] (installation manager) had no idea. He would constantly tell me he would get back to me but I would never hear back from him. We did not mind the waiting but the lack of communication and disorganisation was appalling. We just wanted our blinds installed. The installers and electricians that came (multiple times may I say) were fantastic but the installation team and management definitely needs work. Our blinds have finally been installed, but not correctly. They do not go up properly and the blinds are sitting crooked. Once again, it has been a struggle to get in touch with them and now they are chasing us to pay them even though they have not installed our blinds properly. BE WARNED! The expensive ROOF RESTORATION is not what they say it is – We had our roof restored by Modern Roof Restoration in 2012. Watch out for the sales ‘technique’. A ‘special offer’ is discussed and a call to the sales manager is made to inform one that they are getting a heavily discounted deal saving thousands. In 2015 we had a warranty issue. previously Bramalco had changed the warranty card” system. So no record of our warranty could be found according to the state production manager. At the time the contract stated that broken tiles would be replaced. Not all broken or chipped tiles were replaced. When we questioned this after the job was done and upon inspection we were told that the chips were “insignificant” and “the structural integrity of the tile is not compromised”. So now in 2022 the ’SUPABLOCK’ heat reflective coating is starting to fade/peel off on several tiles. Colour is starting to fade across entire roof. (And no, we do not live near the coast). Be warned: Sales representative pressure; do not believe the advertising and; make sure you keep a copy of the warranty card.

shutters installed on 3 windows November 2020. There were a few problems which I found which were VERY difficult in getting fixed. They put a hole through my by-rock and initially wouldn't fix and the timber in the eaves was left burnt from them cutting it. It took months to get they wall fixed with multiple calls and emails and being pushed from person to person to eventually have it fixed but painted with the incorrect colour, and the external paint issues ignored. Apparently this is the best they can do. Now I still get calls from them trying to sell more products all the time even with telling them to remove my name and number from the list.
