I purchased two Enence Instant Translators and tested one unit, which revealed multiple significant performance deficiencies. Consumers should be aware of undisclosed additional charges. The “sleeves” (which are merely packaging) were charged after confirmation of payment was processed, without my knowledge or consent to this additional charge.
Customer support provided no satisfactory resolution. When I requested a refund due to the product not performing as advertised, I was informed that I would be responsible for return shipping costs. I was also advised that many customers had been offered a 20% discount to keep the device, which strongly suggests recurring issues with product performance. It was recommended that I accept the 20% discount offer and gift it to family or friends. I declined the offer, as it would be inappropriate to gift a faulty item.
In summary, the product does not perform as advertised, and paying the return shipping cost was unsatisfactory.

This is a marketing gimmick; it is a packing box like you get with any electronic item you buy. It cannot in any way be described as a sleeve. the sleeve is just a packing box which I have no intention taking on holiday with me. Do really think that a customer is going to take the box and get the translator out every time they want to use it. Why do you call it a sleeve, it is a packing box and your advertising is misleading. I thought I was getting a sleeve to protect the unit, a cover for the unit like a case you purchase for a phone. Your box is basically further advertising for your product, all the rubbish about the printed ribbon etc is just advertising material. I also subsequently (prior to the unit arriving) purchased the travel buddy system. This seems to come preinstalled on the translator and is part of the product I purchased, how can you charge a further fee for it. It is not a separate downloadable product with an activation key. I requested a refund for the two items and received an email stating "Regarding the "sleeve," I apologize if our marketing materials led to any confusion. We refer to it as a sleeve because it is intended to provide some protection for the translator during transport, but I understand that it might not meet your expectations in terms of functionality. As for the travel buddy system, I appreciate your perspective. However, our policy does not allow for refunds on upsell products like this one, as it can affect the original pricing structure. I understand this may be disappointing, and I truly empathize with your situation." So basically, it is misleading, there is no need to purchase the travel buddy, it comes as part of the app that works the translator and the sleeve is a packing box that they would have to provide to protect the translator when they ship it. I will be advising consumer protection but thought others should know about the misleading advertising they employ.
I have now been provided a full refund for my translator and was even allowed to retain the unit. Very happy now

GERMANY. This happened on November 2nd. It was processed by customs on November 12. On December 28 I reached out to the support system and received a generic reply from them apologizing for the delay. Today, on January 23, the shipment came back to me with no explanation. New software in the App Store will not detect my Translator – I purchased a Muama Enence Instant Translator some time ago and had no need to use it for about 12 months. Tried to use it recently and found there was a new software update for the iOS app. The new app will not detect my translator and attempts to receive any outcome from Enence have come to nought. It is now a useless device unless the new software for iOS devices can detect my device.

there are only a few downloadable languages. We bought the translator for (Mexican) Spanish. This language is not downloadable so we need wifi to use it on our trip to Mexico. Stick with Google Translate!

had deleted the email by error. I don't have any order # anymore, or confirmation of that order, or tracking #. I have NOTHING!! But of course I was charged. I will call my Visa tomorrow as it's becoming clear I'll never get that order. And it seems I'm not the only one.
UPDATE Dec 23: Enence has contacted me by phone with order # and tracking #. I still don't have a written proof, as I have yet to receive an email from them. Joan said I should get the email within 48h (why not now????) and that my order was ALREADY IN TRANSIT. I double-checked the numbers they gave me on their website. At the bottom of the page, it gives me an estimated delivery period and it says it will ship soon. However, at the top of the page, there's NOTHING filled for the order status. I wish I could share screen shots to show that even "order confirmed" is greyed out. And if I never get their email, forget about having an invoice and the extended warranty proof. So I called them back to cancel my order, as they lied about the order status (not shipped yet) and the whole thing feels very sketchy. Guess what????? When ordering this device, I incorrectly assumed that the device was a stand alone device that didn't need to be paired to a phone and serve simply as a an audio repeater device. After starting to use the device ad getting use to it, I find it helpful. Question for Enence, Does the device learn your personal speaking voice or does it rely on your iphone to learn voice recognition for the user ?

opened a dispute with PayPal. PayPal sided with them and that is when they responded to my request for a return refusing to give instructions for the return claiming they prefer to settle though paypal. I cant even find an address for them to file a complaint with the better business bureau. Hopefully I still have the packaging with their return address to file a complaint with BBB.

As per the other peoples reviews, there is significant issues with Muama who clearly demonstrate they treat their customers with the same level of contempt. I could accept maybe one time where a person has ordered one translator where four are charged as an honest mistake. However, there are obvious patterns of behavior's from Enence to support this is not the case and would strongly advise everyone to steer clear! The generic reply to other complaints appears the same, "we're sorry for the inconvenience!" Absolute garbage, if you're truly sorry you would stop continuing to rip people off!
I was very careful with my inquiry and did not confirm or authorize any order, yet alone the purchase of 4. When I was told "thanks for your purchase", I promptly contacted Muama to cancel the order that I did not place. Per the other reviews, no answer despite three separate emails to Muama. Despite contacting Muama promptly, even before the items left their warehouse, they still sent the translators and demanding me to pay for the return postage as per their terms and conditions. I do not care about their terms and conditions as I did not agree to them in the first place. I would suggest Muama considers their legal obligation and start being a business based on integrity and valuing their customers.
Instead of replying to my complaint and cancelling my order (that I did not order), I received an email about how happy the Enence team is and they cannot wait for me to receive my product and it was on the way. Due to their exceptionally poor (A.K.A. non-existent) customer service, I have had to cancel my debit card used to pay for the item, that I did not order, as well as potentially incurring the costs to send their products back to them. This also resulted in my account having insufficient funds to pay for essential bills. Thanks for nothing and I'll let your imagination run free as to what you can do with your product!
