by far the worst building product I have used – absolute trash, stay away from this product will cost you a fortune to fix, the sheet is similar to a foam panel and flex's underneath your feet even if your joists are at 300mm centres, they are water proof for about a week then the edges start to curl up and crack the seal. I wont be surprised if ACCC bans this product from being sold in Australia, just to be clear I have been building homes for 14 years and this is by far the worst building product I have used.....

Avoid the hype – A. Property owners, Builders/Installers can take no comfort in the Warranty given by Multipanel 1. As written, “under no circumstances is the warranty transferable” the warranty may only apply to distributors and/or resellers. It may therefore be argued that a builder/installer who purchases the Multipanel product from a distributor and/or reseller requires a warranty from distributors and/or reseller. 2. A property owner who engages a builder/installer to install the MULTIPANEL Waterproof Balcony System is further removed from the Multipanel warranty.

Save your money the end user (property owner) can get the same worthless warranty from a liquid waterproof membrane provider at a far lower cost.

B. Why was the MULTIPANEL Waterproof Balcony System a winner of the 2019 ACA product innovation of the year , it appears to be substantially unchanged since 27 March 2015.

August 18th 2019 Update: Beware

While Multipanel claims their panels are 100% waterproof they make no such claim regarding the Multipanel Balcony Substrate Waterproofing System, indeed Multipanel only manufacture their panels, leaving the installation (correct or otherwise) to others. Multipanel offers no assistance to the end user and the MULTIPANEL warranty applies to the Multipanel panels only not the Multipanel Balcony Substrate Waterproofing System.

Multipanel recommended Concept1 Building Solutions Pty Ltd as an installer of the Multipanel Balcony Substrate Waterproofing System the following video shows what happened after Concept1 Building Solutions Pty Ltd (C1 Building Solutions) installed our Multipanel Balcony Substrate Waterproofing System.

Note: Multipanel refused to comment on the Concept1 Building Solutions Pty Ltd installation i.e. was the installation in accord with the Multipanel Balcony Substrate Waterproofing System guidelines.
