National Seniors Insurance

4 star as there should always be room for improvements…we have just changed to National Seniors Home and Contents Insurance we saved $400 for the years premium, lets face it every cent counts these days..? It certainly pays to shop around.

Mind blowing increase – We have had Caravan Insurance with National Seiors for about three years, we recently decided to change vans and rang to get a quote. Well let me say our policy had jumped the last two renewals and this one was over the top. About $400.oo increase. Someone at National Seniors is not doing their job. People are compaining and the CEO is sitting on his hands. Ring around $442.00 buys a lot of fuel or caravan park stays.

An almost 300% premium increase in a year! – An almost 300% increase in premium for similar trip - from $816.75 in 2023 (aged 79) to now, $2,339.21 (aged 80) with 10% member discount. This is considerably more than NIB Travel who underwrite National Seniors Travel. It is also almost double Qantas insurance for same trip, and all other companies consulted. response, Amanda writes: "there are many factors regarding the price increase. We have had a rate increase this year, age is also a factor, additional destination(s) added can increase the premium and yes, National Seniors are underwritten by NIB and we have a different rate compared to NIB and in some cases, NIB may be cheaper." Shop around and don't take NS at face value.

Postcode exclusion – Have been with another insurance company for many years, with all our Insurance and have had one no fault car claim in many years. Tried to get a quote for Insurance from National Seniors, but could not get cover because of 'the recent floods'. We were NOT flooded! Totally discugusting attitude from an insurer. Will take ALL my business elsewhere. Don't bother with National Seniors Insurance, you are wasting your time. Noticed that someone from the Darling Downs got Insurance, didn't that area flood?

Home Insurance – I did a quote on line with National Seniors and then a member phoned me to go through the policy. The quote came under my current insurer. The member went through the policy with me and I found him to be very polite and helpful as he knew the details of the policy quite well.

This company gets MY VOTE for Travel Insurance – Jeremy was so friendly and competent. He also answered my call on 6th ring!!! (Very impressed) He gave all the info I needed for a 12mth cruise travel policy and I will be purchasing this insurance based on his great QUOTE - Thank You x Show reply

They don't represent older Australians or older cars – National Australian seniors do NOT insure cars over 30 years of age, so much for representing the elderly. Many elderly people still drive cars that are over 30 years old.

Just changed to National Seniors Car Insurance. Very good value! – I am saving $75/year. Same excess, plus covers a learner driver under 25 if supervised by a driver over 25. Happy with that. Easy to change over on-line. The only negative for me is you have to pay annually by direct debit.

Insurance Buying – I rang National Seniors after I experienced problems with my credit card being rejected through a secure gateway for an insurance policy I was purchasing. Peter in customer service was very helpful.

Great service! – It was a pleasure to talk with the National Seniors representative. She was polite, communicative and pleasant. Having received a very high renewal quote from my previous insurer (I'm moving interstate) I was pleasantly surprised that the National Seniors was only slightly higher than my current policy. Wonderful service.
