I've used Whoflungdung for many years and it's a great mulch/fertilizer. Unfortunately, the quality is not what it was. I have just bought four bags to completely mulch my raised garden bed and pots due to the heat wave this week in South Australia.… Read more
I don't know where you are sourcing your vegetation, but I have had to pull out so many rocks from the mulch in one bag in particular (still heaps in there) and as pictured quite large. I don't need or want these in my raised garden bed or pots. Please review your quality control.
Follow-up · I've been asked to follow up on my original review of Whoflungdung. It should be noted that I did contact the parent company Neutrog and did not receive a response from them. Are other bags similar? - I bought 3 bags from Bunnings and one from a nursery. While they all had stones the last bag was the worse. How many rocks in total? - I am still… Read more
Really nice sh1t ! I was skeptical but it's a very compacted mix of dung, mulch and chipped sugarcane or hay. I've been refreshing garden soil that has no compost left in it after a few years of plantings and the sh1t is great :-) I'm looking forward to planting some spring crops and seeing how they go. Reading some reviews and they mention the… Read more
smell I never smelt anything that was unpleasant....... but I do have a very limited sense of smell :-)
Costs a bit more, but really effective and has turned my Vegie garden around. The dog loves the notes of poo and thinks it pairs well with chock a block. I’ve been using it in combination with cane mulch for a bit more mulchiness. Recommend Show details
So far so good! I'm taking off a star, because contrary to reports, my blackbirds love tossing it around, so that was an ill founded hope. Also one citrus tree suffered from nitrogen draw - only one, the others were fine, but it was so strange! I wondered if perhaps the mulch wasn't mixed evenly enough. Not surprised seeing as they'd be… Read more
processing tons. I soaked some gygganic in water and doused it, it seems to have solved the problem.
It retains a lot of water, so make sure your soil is soaked before you apply.
A lot of things have come on leaps and bounds since this application, so I'm hoping my spring bulb show will be a bit special. I've really been a convert to neutrog products since my orchids came on so well after using strike back.
Could someone tell me please? – Can I use this in my chunky soil mix for airoid plants like monstera Philodendron?
Great product, veggies love it! – Decided to give this a go as I saw a "broken bag" of it marked down in Bunnings recently (even though there didn't seem to be much missing from package). I've used this as "mulch" around my veggies and in a new rose garden bed and the plants are thriving! Does smell a bit when first applied but soon eases off and a MAJOR bonus is the birds don't… Read more
seem to like it so it has stopping them digging up my garden after the worms! Very happy with outcome so far.
Bought three bags, inherited two ‘dead…almost’ citrus trees. Trying it first time, will update – Just put it on quite a large area on top of our home made compost, smells like s#!t so the trees should love it. I’ll update in a couple weeks. Show details
Fabulous stuff – Yes, it stinks. But holy wowsers it works. Had a struggling vege patch, applied Who Flung Dung and within days it took off. Have a lemon tree stupidly planted in front of a drain that was drowned by the heavy rain, moved it, mounded it and mulched with WFD and it's like a new tree. Everything this stuff touches seems to turn to gold. Show details
Quality has plummeted – I have been buying Whoflungdung for a couple of years and have recommended it time and time again. No more - What’s happened to your quality control? My last bag was contaminated with plastic, stones, a metal bracket and more. Come on, this was a great product, please fix it.
Who Flung Dung – Since my original review Neutrog have contacted me and restored my support of their product through the dialogue and actions of their representative Helen. My complaint was accepted and acted on to my satisfaction. Thank you Helen for your support.
I CALL THIS "MAGIC MULCH" – If I could I would give WHO FLUNG DUNG 10 stars, it is twice the price of most stocked mulch but it is 10 times better. A bit stinky when first applied but after a good watering the smell soon goes. You will notice a difference in just a short time. Do yourself a favour and give it a try, no looking back. Also the worms love it.
