Not pleasant at all – I’ve tried both nicorette gum, lozenges & now patches and I find that all 3 just don’t work. Firstly the gum and lozenges had the worst sensation after a minute or so it was almost like it was clogging up my taste and throat and breathing I had to spit out both - waste of money. Now I’m using patches and still craving smoking and making me feel flat. I have successfully used and much preferred the clear nicobate patches

Be very carefull – I used the Nicorette Quickmist but is was becoming too expensive. Moved to gum. After two weeks I developed ulcers on my tongue. Google Nicorette Gum and Ulcers for more information. The gum can be extremely addictive.

OK – I used the classic gum has a horrible taste to it. I didn't succeed in quitting with the gum but perhaps at that stage I was not totally dedicated to giving up, although using the gum did help me smoke less which is a plus and a start. I did finally quit but I did it cold turkey. Each person has a best method to succeed. helps relieve cravings classic tastes horrible

Excellent – I'm using this gum along with the enhaler and Nicabate patches to quit smoking. I know it sounds extreme but 99% of the time I'm wearing the patch and am able to chill out just with it and do fine. I chew about two-three (I'm allowed 5) pieces of gum a day when I have niggles and it gives me comfort and confidence to not smoke. The Nicorette… Read more

Enhaler comes out when I have really weak moments, you know those moments when you seriously consider lighting up a real cigarette. All I need is two or so puffs and feel so much better. Still much less nicotine and safe. The Fresh Fruit flavour is delicious. Tastes a lot like Wriggley's Juicy Fruit chewing gum.

Cheaper than smoking.

Relieves cravings even though you get less nicotine than a through a cigarette.

Can be used with other smoking cessation products.

Good – A great product for those motivated to give up, and to give up within a certain period of time. It is really good in the initial stages of giving up because you have something concrete to do when a craving hits. If you chew for more than the recommended time period it becomes harder to stop and can result in an addiction to chewing gum. I think… Read more

nicotine gum is a good way to quit, provided you are motivated. I tried patches first but I found I was allergic to them (they caused dermatitis for me). Nicorette gum is convenient - take it with you everywhere. It can be discreetly chewed, even at meetings. It gives you something particular to do when you get a craving (in contrast with patches). It's good in the early stages because it mimics what smokers do, in that you have gum when you would normally have a cigarette. This is different to the patch where you receive nicotine at a constant dose. Test packs are available with a couple of day's worth of gum so that people can try it out. Depending on how many you need to chew, it can make your jaw ache and be hard on your dental work. The gum can be a little hard to get used to - the taste is peppery and it tingles. For the first few days it can make your mouth a little sore - as if it has suffered a minor burn, but after a while your mouth gets used to it. You need to learn to chew it slowly or you can get hiccups, headaches or stomach upsets - it can take a couple of days of practice.

Bad – I feel that if you can put up with the taste and have a very strong will power to quit smoking this product could help but i lacked in both areas and had to move on and try somthing else. I like the idea of replacing my bad habbit of smoking with a peice of gum it's a simple idea and easy to carry around for those relentless cravings.Nicorate gum… Read more

is a cheaper option when it comes to quiting aids and you only have to use it when nesacary. It didn't work for me there was a few reasons why, the taste was very unpleasnt after a few days i couldn't stand the taste. It makes your tounge tingle and it lingers for quite sometime after.
