I’ve been either Nicovape for 3+ years. Had multiple problems with the first version, however from my very first puff … I’ve never smoked a cigarette again. That in itself was remarkable given that I was smoking 40+/day before.

I’ve been using the newest version for some time & it’s only when I found this Q&A that I realise I’m experiencing some familiar problems. I’ve bought more devices than ever, I keep losing them. That said, the pods OR the device are problematic. I’m forever taking the pod on & off the device to get it to work. The device gets very hot from time to time & the buzzing vibrating … what’s that about? It’s frustrating! Is this a familiar problem with other people?

I’ve never managed to understand, let alone synch the pod & device …

Reading through these questions I discovered that there’s a concession on the device? I’ve never been given that, even though my pharmacy dispenses all my medications.

I’m interested in other experiences …

Does Nicovape Q leave a smell like cigarettes?

Definitely not - it's odorless

Sam

No. It's much cleaner than cigarettes. It doesn't smell like smoke at all, because it's not smoke.

Does anyone else have nothing but problems with this device? Already paid for 2 devices in 6 weeks & neither work. 2nd one died earlier today refuses to charge amid other things & I just bought a new pack of pods yesterday. Not very impressed.

Cee A.

Didn't have any issues re-charging, BUT did have issues getting it to recognise when a new pod was loaded. Kept having to repeatedly disconnect and reconnect the new pod, shake, bounce and rattle the damned thing before it would eventually recognise the new pod. Hate them, plus the face that they want $300!!! for a month's supply, when I was quite happy making my own mix - and knowing what was in it - for less than $50 a month.

I have the same issue. It's really annoying and I get no support from nicovape.. really unimpressed

I have the new nicovape Q device when I plug it in to recharge the led light flashes blue does anyone knows what this means

John M.

I bought a Nicovape Q A2 about 3-4 weeks ago and now the GREEN light stays on all the time. This is flattening the battery so quickly that I do not even get through a full day without having to recharge it. As I take 2.75 days to use a cartridge, obviously this can't be from using it too much.

Mine did this. These devices are terribly designed. I sent Liber an email and admittedly they were were very fast to reply and sent out a new device as a replacement. I also had several pods that were leaky they replaced also.

Unfortunately, I don't have the box that it came in so, I am unable to fill out the required form.

I have just been prescribed the new nicovape q v2 with the q50 liquid 50mg/ ml. The pharmacy have told me it will cost over $300. Is this right? How many cartridges will I get for this cost? I hope this will last quite a while! I was getting the nicovape q before this, and the 59mg refills were around $100 for 6 cartridges.

Renee
Renee

I paid about that for 28 pods when they came out a month ago, your script will have the amount prescribed on it. I'm finding they last longer than the Qs and don't leak like they did

All I could see was there were 4 repeats

Brooke
Brooke

Sorry I just checked and it says 28. So I get the 28 at once, is that right? And since it says 4 repeats, does that mean I have another 3 repeats or are they giving them to me at once?

Sam
Sam

Speak to your pharmacist about this. I had a great chat with my pharmacist and he explained it to me. I got 28 pods for about $300. Now I have 3 repeats remaining. So each repeat is for 28 pods. But speak with your pharmacist about it.

I just received the new Nicovape Q2 dispenser . The dispenser works for a while and then will vibrate & stop working. I have to keep taking the pod out and re-insert it to be able to get it to work again. The instructions state you only needs to draw on the pods and the dispenser will activate however, this does not seem to work. Any Suggestions or is this just a faulty dispenser.

I’ve found the Nicovape Q products terribly addictive. I’ve sought advice/help from the prescribing doctors but they don’t seem to have any training or knowledge re how to deal with the addiction to Nicovape? Grateful any suggestions.

I am in shock that Chemist Warehouse in Carringbah NSW charged me $131 for 3 boxes of 2 cartridges and $40 for the device. Is that the same everywhere?

Karina J.

Hmm I pay 145 for 6 boxes

Ron v.
Ron v.

Hi. That is what I expected. My script was for 6 which the pharmacist explained was 3 boxes of 2. Then the cash register charged me 6x the 'item' price. Either they under supplied me out of 3 boxes or they're charging double. Wonder what the manufacturer thinks of this?

Miranda G.
Miranda G.

I paid $14.99 for device (concession) And $65.97 for 6 cartridges = $80!! Which is good Going through one cartridge quickly though. As it's not strong enough Got 6ml strength Hope that helps In Victoria Don't feel yuck in the stomach compared to premixed liquid. Ingredients What Nicovape Q | Q SD contains Nicotine lactate Active ingredient Other ingredients Propylene glycol Vegetable glycerin Flavours(Inactive ingredients) Tastes like burnt coil/smoke like not too bad. If you want to feel I hit similar to smoke you can try direct mouth to lung and doesn't taste as bad

Ron v.
Ron v.

The pharmacy had made a mistake at the register and accidently charged me 6 boxes while supplying 3 of them. I received the other 3 boxes later in the week. So I ended up paying the same as Miranda. Which is about the RRP.

9ml of vape juice and a device cost you $171. With the import system that's enough money to vape for a whole year. You have 3 months left if you want to get a script and import

I have just been prescribed Nicovape & am waiting for my local pharmacy to get my order in. I want a vape that tastes as similar to a normal cig as possible. We chose to order “classic” flavour … I’m finding it hard to get info on what it will taste like, can anyone help please ? (Mum just diagnosed with COPD after years of smoking so while family is trying to give up - this is my chosen method & want to give it a real red hot crack but just know teeny bopper flavours like cherry & mint won’t work for me) … please help guide me? Thanks in Advance, Kel

Karina J.
Karina J.

Hi They all taste pretty bad..I've gone the mint as it's better for me than the classic.. Read how to use the pods you need to charge them..bliw into them befor use .. Pods often don't last ling and you get no customer service from Nicovape. Not helpful I know but honest.

Paladin.
Paladin.

Hi Kelly. I started with the Classic but it didn’t taste classic enough for me. The Cherry didn’t suit me either. Ended up with Mint because it actually tastes like mint. Quality of the pods seems better lately and I don’t have to blow through them before use anymore. A bit of a learning curve with Nicovape but potential benefit is huge. I stopped smoking cigarettes almost immediately and haven’t even been tempted since. Hope it works for you.

Kelly R
Kelly R

Thanks SO much guys !! Appreciate the honest help - I really hope this works for me. Will definitely keep in mind about the pods & blowing in them etc. Be great if nicovape could make a flavour that just tastes like tobacco/cigs (lol, that sounds counterintuitive but it’s what I would prefer, lol). Thanks again - you guys have been GREAT !!, Kel

I was prescribed a 59mg/ml Nivovape. 59 mg seems far too strong. My first cartridge lasted 3 days. I have about 4 puffs each time but not continuously throughout the day. Is 59/mg far too strong? I was not a heavy smoker.

Roy D.
Roy D.

I have 59mg as well. Am happy with product. Mine last 2 days. If you find it too strong there is a lower mg you can get.

Hipp

I was happy with it too but worried it was too high mg.

Sylvie P.

Is it 59mgs per cartridge? Surely it can be 59mgs per puff ?

John
John

Mgs refers to the strength of the liquid , 59mgs is supposed to be equivalent to heavy cigarettes when used with mouth to lung type which is the device you are using . Additional info , I use 20mg but I use direct to lung device and get more vapour compared to you but get similar strength hit overall , Although vape is better the ones nicovape supply are poor qaulity devices / liquid and more expensive compared to one I use , I did alot of research on it and am appalled at the service offered. Use it to quit stinky death sticks and you will be fine . Best wishes

Has anyone been getting a sore throat from nicovape Q 59ml ?

Why am I getting the liquid in my mouth it's gross. Just started today can't do this if it can't be fixed...

Mark Smith
Mark Smith

Yer know the feeling. Shake the canister before you reload. Make sure the dispenser in lit green or blue. I use a drink whilst I get the vape to appear . Don't hoof into it when you reload. If it lights white whilst fully charged when you reload take out canister out and wait 15 seconds and reload it. Wipe mouth piece with tissue. It usually seems to be the reload that requires a softly approach until you bed it in. Shake it before you load it then puff soft until the vape appears. Try orange juice or redwine on hand . Take a bit a time before you get the hang of it. I went 50 smokes a day to 0 overnight. It works.

John
John

Because its a cheap device , most have what's called flooding issues , especially when not being used like over night , juice will over absorb into the air chamber and when you draw it will get dropplets in your mouth , try poking a thin tight piece of tissue paper down it , vaping is definitely better than smokes , I would recommend you don't use the expensive cheap qaulity chemist stuff.

How do I know the level left in the cartridge

Julie Edward
Julie Edward

Hold the cartridge upside down in front of a bright light source (light globe, PC screen or sunlit window) and rock it gently back and forth. The dark grey cartridge is slightly translucent (light can pass through). If there's fluid left, you will see it moving inside, and maybe a tiny bubble or two.

Its a good idea to 'light inspect' a cartridge before presuming you need a new one. It may be your device just needs recharging, or replacing if it's had a lot of longterm use (I replace my device around every six months or so).

Very occasionally a temporary blockage may occur in a cartridge due to settling of contents. This can be cleared by blowing into the cartridge, or "re-priming" it.

A cartridge should always be "primed" before first use by gently blowing into it.

But any time you want to check the level left in the cartridge, just turn it upside down and hold it up to a light.
