i think Nissan have changed to tom tom maps doesn't seem to be any updates pretty useless trying to get any information nobody seems to know anything

Sorry can't help tried everything appearantly not even nissan can help. They

have different updates for different models ,I have a 2020 year model with 2000 or older update sorry can't help

I was told it had to be done by a Nissan dealership. I have the most recent one and it’s USELESS

Last time I contacted Nissan, I was told that the company who originally supplied the update had gone bankrupt and no updates were available.

OK to tell you truth you should just go out and buy a Navman, Tom Tom or such device. Doing so will get you the latest maps, free lifetime map updates etc. The Nissan Maps are normally a year old when you get them any way. You may be able to get updates from your Nissan Dealer but they will cost around the $100 mark (for a year old map). A Navman, Tom Tom or such device will cost anything from $80 upwards. The other advantages of using the above is that you can get: Speed and Red light camera alerts. Traffic info, which can have the ability to direct you around problems You can also use most of them to collect info for taxation purposes.

By the way I have just checked my updates (Nissan Navara 2020 Model purchased 5th Jan 21) and the latest updates are March 2021. My Navman has this months updates (Nov 2021 on it). Cheers Neil

I agree Navman or other similar navigation is the only way to update Nissan don't care and refused to help

Not sure sorry just know that Nissan doesn't know how. Don't trust them , as they promised to up date mine two years on still waiting. I gave up on Nissan Sorry Shame a little thing makes up your mind I asked them three times which they promised but never delivered

New update is out now. Having it done myself next week.$74.

Sarah, external link  This is the place to get free Nissan map updates (if you are still entitled). You will need to work out how to do it (instructions are supplied). I did my Nissan Navara today, two weeks ago there was no map update (latest being Nov 2018). However checked toady and Apr 2019 is available and I installed it about an hour ago.

Hi Colonel, before my review I contacted Nissan Aus on1800035035 on 6th Jan 2021, detailed problem & requested contact number for Technical support, told not available to public, need to go through our local dealer. Put it in writing to local dealer via email to ensure my complaint was recorded. Phoned local detailer service manager on morning of 7th Jan 2021 advised I had contacted Nissan Aus & I had sent him email detailing complaint. Received phone call from service manager 1.30 pm, the latest updated map SD card had just arrived, went straight down SD card installed Friday 7th Jan 2021 Hope I have been of some help Don McC

my problem is that i am told i have the latest card BUT i have the same problem i had 3+ years ago it does not recognise some roads that have been there for years. The other thing is that the new Series Qashqui map does NOT have the problem i have So hence asking when a full and proper update will be done Ken

That question should be directed to Nissan Australia. All updates are under their control.... but be aware, their releases are not current (for the roads I travel) and I would recommend using google maps or equivalent

You’re right. Nissan tried to rip off our blood if they can. Google map and Apple map updates are free. I don’t know your car entertainment has Car Play or Android Play, my SUV Platinum Pathfinder 2017 has nothing. Next car I will not buy any auto Nissan.

We purchased a Nissan XTrail in 2014. The Nissan GPS is at best poor. Always out of date. Updates are far too slow, unreliable, poor detail / information. On the plus side, it is easy to set up for the next desired destination.

This is true.. Nissan does false representation that maps will be updated at time of service. This never happens.

External External External! The built in GPS is very hard to update.

If you have enough data in your mobile ,google map is more Reliable than any other,if not i still suggest a good quality External navigator,which wont cost more than $150Max rather than paying a lots and lots for same thing to install.Check if they SUpport rural area where there is no tower or network,i did end up in Mountain with Accident

You cannot update this CD card, as it is 2011 vintage, no update is available at the moment, according to Nissan as of 26/09/17.

Thanks for the info . Disappointed to hear that they don't do up dates on GPS Navagation for Nissan xtrail 2012 Ti model.

No, it is not and I wish I had researched this before spending the money. I'm still driving through pastures and fields while on the grand parkway.
