Nitecore TM28
1 review
Lights up the dark light sunlight – Nitecore has TM28 listed as Search and rescue torch but I got it for hunting and outdoors and I think it suites this purpose excellent, it's running 4 XH-P 35 HI LEDs powered 4 IMR 18650 batteries. The light features a double stage electronic switch that controls the LEDs, and a digital display controlled by a separate single stage electronic switch. On the display useful information is displayed, like the level and output, the runtime left, internal temperature and battery voltage. The TM28 features an integrated charging system for the 4 IMR 18650 batteries. The torch comes in the pouch with the batteries inside, manual, spare o-rings, adaptor for using flat top 18650 and charging cable. The body feels a little short and the head rather heavy, but when the 4 18650 are inside, the light feels well balanced in the hand to hold. Upon my first test after fully charging it it does indeed light up the night like daylight and has a very nice throw with plenty of width I do believe that it can throw 655 metres after taking some measurements from testing but anything over that isn't going to happen, I feel nitecore should include the rapid AC charger in the box considering what you are paying for. I've tried to locate the NBP68HD Battery Pack for testing and performance with the extended battery but as of yet I've not been able to locate one. Honestly if your looking for a high performance torch that rivals some handheld spotlights then I can recommended you look at the TM28 the RRP pricing is asking a bit, but they are going on sale all the time and if you can get one on sale I highly suggest you give one a go.
Purchased in at eBay for $500.
