Nixon Regulus

It has been a year, and it still looks solid – I have been using the watch on a daily basis and on heavy-duty activities. After a year, it has only got a couple of scratches. Simple design and good looking. However, it is not a military watch, it's a fashionable heavy duty watch.
Purchased in at The Iconic for $299.
Perfect, simple & rugged – This watch feels great the moment you put it on. I would describe it as a military-style Casio watch. Nixon website: “a high-performance watch created in collaboration with agents from the Special Operations corps of the United States”. After being an Apple Watch wearer for years, i found 2 issues, the notifications, constantly checking the watch + you don’t want to wear it to the beach in fear of scratching / losing it (i spend half my life on the beach).
So enter the Nixon, nothing smart here, no notifications, just simple time and date with a stop watch, alarm, and dual time zone support.
Setup within a few minutes out the box and without the included “operations manual” (how-to booklet) there are four buttons, how hard can it be. As you would expect from a military spec watch, you can disable the old school beep and watch feels like you could run over it and it would still look new.
It’s a chunky watch (again as you would expect) with 100M water depth - ticking that beach box. The clasp has a double latch with the standard watch latch + a notch to hold the excess strap in place.
Cost is reasonable at ~A$250.
I went for the standard black but it comes in other colours (camo etc.)
