Display clarity is nothing like advertised – I purchased this womens watch for my wife as a gift online. background, does not work. It has always been a rule of typography, to never reverse out text purely for readability reasons. This breaks that rule and suffers for it.

This is fine if you are on the beach at midday, with direct sunlight, but for the rest of the time, it's a hopeless watch to simply glance at. The official Nixon images online are very misleading. They display a clarity that is not achieved in real-life. Trust me on this.

Everything else about this watch is good. The design. Look. Quality build. Functionality. All acceptable for this price point. But a watch is only good as the ability to provide you with the time at a glance without having to squint / tilt / twist your wrist to view it! I love Nixon watches, own one myself, but I do not recommend The Siren.
