Awesome machine – I have had this machine for years, though I have not used it near enough (my fault only) as I have a back & knee problem. It has been a great machine but unfortunately, due to moving house in the near future, I have to sell it ...

Terrible piece of fitness equipment!!! Avoid Nordic products – I purchase this elliptical cross-trainer from Rebel Sports several months ago, and after some light use from my wife and myself, the machine makes such a loud clicking and grinding sound it is basically unusable. I purchase this machine since it looked good, and was on sale from around $1,000. I was unable to find many review of the product, but the sales staff at Rebel Sport convinced me it as a great machine for a good price.

How wrong they were.

Assembly was straight forward and easy, but after initial use for a couple of weeks, the machine started to squeak. This squeak become worse and worse over time, despite following the Nordic instruction of lubricating the metal runner and accessible bearing. On close inspection, I realised the build quality of the Nordic Elliptical was simply terrible!

As a qualified and practising Engineer, I was simply shock at the poor quality of welds and general fabrication.

After only 5 months of using the machine, a loud "click clack" noise started from within the main housing of machine, which I don't have access to without pull the machine apart which I refuse to do in fear of making it worse (if possible!) or damaging the machine.

The noise has now become so bad the NordicTrack E8.2 is unusable at night because the noise wakes my children and is increasable irritating!

Also, the exercise programs are not quite correct. They are either too easy or too hard, and despite how much time I spend trying to create a good workout, it's never quite as satisfying as my old cross-trainer or even the machines at the gym.

You can purchase the wifi module which has extra training programs, but I am not willing to throw more money away on a bad exercise machine!

I can't believe a "repeatable" sports store - Rebel Sports - can sell such a poor quality machine.

I would high recommend you re-consider purchasing ANY Nordic / NordicTrack equipment!

Overall

- Terrible exercise machine

I would appreciate it if someone from Rebel Sport or NordiTrack can contact me so I can get my money back / warranty repair! -Looks Good -Incline is a nice feature -Good Stride Length - Terrible build quality - Terribly noisy - Poor exercise programs - Poor quality inbuilt speaker (pretty much useless) - Not very stable

I have since had the NordicTrack E8.2 Elliptical repaired under warranty. The repair person mentioned my type of issue is common with these types of machines and it is "just how it is". Since the repair the machine has again started the same issues as before. I have pretty much given up and just accepted the machine how it is, I just avoid exercise after by toddler has gone to sleep so I don't wake him.
