I called the hospital to confirm whether a doctor, who had been referred to me by my GP, was still practising there. The receptionist was immediately rude, dismissive, and impatient, stating there was no doctor by that name without allowing me to explain. When I apologised and clarified that the referral came directly from my GP, I was spoken… Read more

over and treated as if I were an inconvenience. After accepting that the doctor no longer worked at the hospital, I politely asked for the doctor’s contact details. The receptionist then responded with an irritated and condescending remark: “If only you don’t keep cutting me off, I would give you her contact number.”

This behaviour was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable—especially in a healthcare environment where patients deserve basic courtesy and empathy. The interaction felt hostile and dismissive, and it left a very poor impression of the hospital’s patient service standards.

I can honestly say this hospital is professional but also very friendly and all staff were attentive. Special mention to Sarah and Grace, and Dr. Bahin and Dr Ting, they are awesome. I am sorry I do not have the names of the other staff, but kudos to you all.

Follow-up  · The hospital environment was professional but also very inviting. Staff seem happy to be working there and not once was I treated as an inconvenience to them.

This is a complete turn around from the day I walked out after 5 1/2 hours in Emergency. Wise Specialist Emergency has now joined with Norwest (Private Hos.) Emergency. Their sign is now on the building. Their care is related to this emergency area… Read more

primarily. Wise at Macquarie has a good reputation with this family from an earlier visit. We attended with a family member with a very nasty shoulder injury that was requiring surgery. He was admitted, x-rayed and given a bed. All I can say is that it is a revelation in phone contact with Drs and ALL surgery staff regarding details of the operation, both before and after. Two days in Private and currently in Re hab , the service and all has far exceeded expectations. So far , I would do anything to be admitted here, based on experience so far. As a family member I can speak highly of it.

Follow-up  · Details of the admission and follow up........... The initial process was quick with no obvious people in front and with a normal delay in forms and getting an x-ray on site. The staff were caring and early contact made with the Dr. Emotionally, the main family member was 'kept in the loop' with direct phone contact with the main family contact… Read more

The air conditioning system needs critical maintenance. The dust. fungus abd bacteria are all around the aircon vent opening. This is dangerous especially for patients having lung issues. Please attend as a matter of urgency.

I had surgery on thurday 8 May at 6pm,taken to my room 367 around 9pm. I needed to go to the toilet I was assisted by the nurse as I was not stable on my feet, taken back to bed. Later I needed to go toilet again, the nurse said she couldn’t assist me and gave me a bedpan and left, the small bedpan was full when she lifted and spilled on my bed, I… Read more

said the bed is wet, my underwear is soaked, she put a mat on top and left. My gown was wet, bedding stung urine,my blanket was wet, I called and asked for a change of bedding….wasn’t done until the morning when a new shift /new nurse wearing a yellow shirt with bears came and kindly helped me to shower, changed bedding, gave me a warm towel and fresh gown. This was an appalling behaviour and attitude, this type of nurses treating patients like rubbish inhuman- you wouldn’t treat an animal like that. I am giving details that can be checked as true- it actually happened.

Awful – Owned by Healthscope and parent company Brookfield Corporation. Why our Government has allowed an overseas multi million dollar company to purchase 38 of our Private hospitals, I cannot understand? Their hospitals are heavily in debt. My late husband had 7 weeks of terrible nursing and in his last days I had him moved to a public hospital… Read more

where he received the care one would have expected of a private one. I recently had a look at the current reviews and they are not taking any. I wonder why? In the SMH yesterday Brookfield has also been the purchaser of our famous icon, Luna Park. I hope they don’t run this into the ground. It would be interesting to hear if others have had a similar experience at Norwest as myself and family have experienced.
