After throwing my last Nylex sprayer out, I vowed that it would be the last... But, being a very forgiving animal I foolishly tried to believe that Nylex might have learned how to correct ALL of the previous design and manufacturing faults. Not So. This pile of rubbish. is junk from end to end.

Rubbish no pressure maintained. Would be faster if I drank the solution and sprayed it with my other hose. Save your money. No to any future product made by nylex. Stop trying to make items to the cheapest level. Show details

I have/had the heavy duty 5L. Absolute junk and nothing heavy duty about it. After 4 uses (over 2 summers) the flimsy little blick clip on the squeese handle snapped and guess what, you can't buy a replacement part. Straight to the bin...not very eco friendly either as based on the reviews on the Bunnings site and here many of these go straight to landfill

Missing parts. Used what i had but liquid was pouring out from both ends of the lance. No proper seal. Wasted a lot of very expensive weed killer liquid. Very disappointing. Show details

I have had nothing but bad experiences with these Nylex Sprayers that are still being sold by Bunnings. I should have learned on my 2nd purchase that they are absolute junk,but bought another one. was told they have a 2 year warranty, what a joke that is,I've never had one last longer than 6 months. Was told to take receipt and sprayer back to Bunnings . I paid cash and stupidly didn't keep the receipt. Don't waste your money,they're garbage!

GARBAGE – I bought this and a 2l hand sprayer. They didnt spray well on their first use, to the point the 5L sprayer was unusable before i could even get halfway through the tank. The 2l hand sprayer didnt work at all the 2nd time. Mix was 10ml herbicide /1l water so not like i was trying to spray a syrup

Here's a spray – Have used nylex sprayers for years. Most I have bought have been fairly pathetic with faults I can't be bothered listing here. Suffice it to say that Nylex really need to up their quality control procedures in China. Show details

[Content Removed] nozzle – The [Content Removed] Nozzle is the source of all evils, it gets blocked my the smallest of particles and reduces the spray to a gnats piss, this encourages users to keep pumping which overpressures the sprayer and causes all the failures. I cut the plastic nozzle fitting off and replaced it with a 180 degree plastic irrigation sprinkler nozzle, it now works great.

Do not buy this and expect it to last – I bought the 8L heavy duty version and it still only lasted 2 months before the valve broke. Nylex will not honour their 3 year warranty. I knocked it over when washing it under the garden tap (it was on the ground) easily done with a garden tool. Expected the heavy duty version to be a lot stronger than this. Show details

Seals were loose and needed to be tightened – Bought this and used it the next day. As per everybody else, it would spray for about two seconds and then just dribble. It now works when it is full but it's a bit dodgy when 1/4 full. Really shouldn't need to tighten all fittings when it's straight from the factory though.

Great for cleaning sandstone pavers – Have had the 5L shoulder sprayer for about 5 years, and it’s great for quickly cleaning sandstone pavers with chlorine solution. But you have to make sure everything is screwed up tight to maintain pressure. Also, if nozzle is not giving a nice wide fan-shaped spray give it a good soak in hot water—then you should be able to see through the tiny opening slit; if not, there’s still an obstruction. Poor to dangerous – Previously used a Bunnings inexpensive Chinese sprayer, thought I was upgrading to Nylex. Like many other complainants here the sprayer just overflowed into the bowl , fortunately just my hand got poison on it. Absolute embarrassment! – Just why??? Why would you put such a terrible designed piece of ... Well I cannot describe this as a piece of crap, because a log will last longer then this woeful contraption. Great, until it wasn't – Paid about 3 times as much as the cheaper ones you normally get from Bunnings with the belief that I must be getting better quality. Broke in first ten minutes – Bought mine from Bunnings and did'nt get to use it for a couple of weeks. It was very similar to .my previous sprayer which I had for about 20 years. inspectio it was just a plastic pin through a moulded hole and the pin was still intact but the moulded hole had split along its length and impossible to fix. Searched high and low for my receipt but you guessed it I can't find it anywhere. Prior to it breaking I would have been happy to recommend it. Ŵ As it stands I will know exactly what to look for when I buy it's replacement.

Was good and now hopeless – I bought a Nylon Shoulder sprayer and was very excited as it worked well for the first couple of times. Now the liquid dribbles out - doesn't spray. I've taken it apart and cleaned the nozzle, to no avail. Very disappointing - think I will have to throw it away :( Show details

Nylex spray pack leaking first time use – Nylex water leaked on first use arounds the spray handle and the spray tip . I tried to tighten the fittings but they still leaked and dropped liquid where I didn't want it. When I took the fittings apart to reseat I noticed that there are no seals to prevent leaking - product is poorly designed - Do not purchase. Show details

Broke on first use – After about the first 10 minutes of use the trigger handle broke, and in the bit of time used before breaking the wand also leaked and got roundup all over my gloves and everywhere I didn’t want to spray. Disappointed in this – Purchased at Bunnings 14 months ago and have since moved away and closest Bunnings is over an hour away , used this once and cleaned it out with fresh water when I finished with it I went to use it again and it won't pressurise. Pulled it apart and cleaned it but still won't work , moral of the story buy a cheap one as you end up throwing them away anyway . Show details

Defective lance trigger – My experience has been like most. Used it once and the second time the trigger didn't work. Cleaned it out, replaced the nozzles and still won't work. Frustrating that a trusted brand would release a rubbish product. Show details

Exploded – Weed sprayer literally exploded apart(roughly 2-3years old), have photo evidence to support with cuts to leg from the plastic fragments. replaced with another unit which has now developed a small crack on the weld seem which holds it together still but sprays liquid from the crack. binned and will not buy this brand again. I lived in the Pilbara and don't think these sprayers can handle the constant hot temperatures maybe!!!!

Perfect. After a purchase in 2018 – Last review about 11months ago. Still working a treat with some heavy use. Cannot seem to find these problems with the other reviews. Used it for wetting agents, foliar application, weed spray. I do have another sprayer for the large lawn 150sq but for everything else I still cant fault it. the best. 3 part clean after use and off I go again. The wand is strong, the spray nozzle does what it should do. The seals are heavy duty and I have no trouble shaking it around esp. with using white oil and no leaks. Cant understand why other users have problems. Remember HEAVY DUTY 5LTR .

Should have read these reviews – Purchased December 2020 worked great til today..Noticed tiny black objects in bottle convinced they are slivers of neoprene or black rubber.Put 2 litres of option in bottle.Worked fine for 5 minutes then the solution started coming out around the metal shaft of the pump handle and quickly filled the concave top of the bottle.Poor quality seals I suspect.Will further investigate

Rubbish – Setup the sprayer to use as weed killer using diluted roundup. After 10 mins of use it stopped spraying - barely trickling out of the nozzle. Tried cleaning the nozzle and tube with hot water as suggested in the manual. Now the sprayer does not work at all !!!! Show details

Absolute rubbish - metal parts rusted away – I purchased this sprayer and used it once. When I went to use it again the metal spring in the handle had rusted and broken into pieces. The metal tube for the wand also had rust holes that leaked. The item is made with very low quality parts and is a typical use once and bin item. Poor quality - Nosel leaks and doesn't spray – Bought from Bunnings for general garden use. The sprayer was used once and had poor spray pressure and was leaking. Changed the sprayer attachment that came with the kit and it didn't make a difference. Would not recommend this product. I would have rather bought a sprayer from the $2 shop

The bottle leaks – I had 2 of these Both developed a small pin sized hole in the bottom which made it completely useless. Buy one with a housing on the bottom that protects it.  Show details

Useless sprayer – Used only once before, now only air comes out, no liquid. Very crude nozzle, and the whole thing is a waste of time, going into the bin. Nylex replaced my earlier model when I inquired about buying a replacement nozzle which I had lost, and at no cost to me, so that at least was good. Show details

Wont open – It sprays well but I can’t open it again to refill it. All pressure has been released but the handle won’t budge.
