Octopus Group

They ask for a government ID for redeeming your own hard earned money. When biggest corporations like Medibank and so many other companies in the world are prone to hacking and were not able to save the data., these one room company sitting in some closet now forces people to share their government ID. For what? For selling our data to the hackers?

Honestly been great up until this point, they now require a licence upload. I only have my digital licence but not to worry because they claim they accept Digital ID. I attempt to submit photos of my digital licence as instructed per their site (ERROR, COULD NOT IDENTIFY ID PHOTO) so i send both my entire ID front and back, screenshots of the… Read more

After supplying my ID, and clear evidence that the digital ID upload system was broken here is the reply

"Hi,

We do require a one off ID verification in order to redeem.

The system works for people with digital IDs as well as physical ones. If this hasn't worked for you we can only apologise but the system shows no record of you trying to do this.

The alternative is to have a video call, during this call you could share your screen to us and show us the ID in this way. These are the options we have at this point in time.

Of course it doesnt! i couldnt upload the digital ID its the entire reason i am contacting you today! so of course i couldnt create a record in your system! The error is sent in the picture i sent just have a look my goodness

the payout rate is the best around but customer service is the worst.

ALSO ive been using this app for over 2 years, litetally hundreds in payouts and just when i went to redeem $25 this "gotta verify first appears". Thats really scummy, if you are implementing the need to verify ID before withdrawl you should also require it before allowing us to do surveys,

or maybe they just like the idea of holding %100 of the earnings and denying customers their rightful money? same shameful behaviour as the gambling companies do, you can gamble/do surveys No Worries! but when you want winnings oh we need ID

Octopus group surveys scam. When you do lots of survey they will revoke membership after saying that your answer is unusual. It's totally scam

Overall, considering the amount of personal information requested and the frequent screening out without receiving the promised payment, this app fails to deliver a trustworthy survey experience.

Used to be great but lately it is a waste of time. It does the preliminary questions, Then starts the survey, then 5-10 questions into the survey it says screen out and quota group full so you have wasted your time, they have still gotten some information from you - but you don’t get paid. Get to $19.00 and then you get surveys that you can't finish so it appears you don't get paid but supply 80% of the info they want for nothing ... Maybe one day i'll crack the $20 to get a withdrawal.. LOL

Reliable and consistent – I changed my mind after using this service and was paid. This brand is reliable and pays you as per policies. The only thing you need to be aware of is to read questions carefully and answer honestly. I have been paid twice and keep surveying.

Yay won $20 but only spent 20 years of my life!! – You will be on your death bed while you will reach the redeemption point!! questions they are after and soon after then they screen out the partcipants. There are lots of surveys available where you can make $50 a week just spending some of your free time... I will highly suggest try them. Dont spend 1 single second for this useless portal.

My optimism was short lived – I was eager to complete the surveys and quite positive. My first payout arrived promptly. Unfortunately I have tried on several occasions to receive my second payout, but nothing. I have sent emails, phoned and very little to no response. Yes, I'm disappointed. Time I feel I wasted on something with little gain.

Actually really good – They pay really high and the surveys are decent, I have only been kicked after completing a survey once for lazy responses, but so far i have been paid around $300. its great.

Waste of time – Waste of time. I have been screened out of the majority of surveys, often have completed a few minutes worth of survey questions before a message pops up to say I have been screened out or they have already met the data quota. In the mean time Octopus group is getting free information from the section of survey that is completed. They seem like a scam.

Rejected after a week of diary entering – I filled it out the radio diary for each day properly and with due diligence for past week. Then went to do the survey at the end and they rejected me straight away. I did submit my radio record first and then clicked on the do the survey part after and they rejected me with no attempt at their survey. Not good at all. I am so upset. I never get surveys – I've been with Octopus Group for months, and I've only just made enough to withdraw my first $20. vague explanations about how they have a lot of participants and certain surveys may be looking for a specific demographic.

I understand this - I do surveys through a couple of other sites, so I know how it all works. But there is some reason why this particular site almost never offers me any surveys, and there's no way to find out what that is. Gender? Age? Income? Employment history? Education? Location? I have no idea. All I know is that other sites treat me as a valuable candidate. One site I signed up to around the same time as Octopus Group has paid out over $500 in the same time-frame.

Unfortunately I'll be closing my Octopus Group account.

Disappointed – Suspended my account for 2 weeks for absolutely nothing yet I've never had an issue with them in the past with 200+ surveys. Shame you treat members like this and your clients can scam people and then ban people who have disabilities. Not a good look.

Best survey site I have come across – Easy and speedy signup, good number of surveys offered, I have had over 80% successful completion rate, earnings of over $50 in first week. Payout to bank account done once a week on a Tuesday, have aleady received $35. By far the best survey site I have come across. Highly recommended.
