The worse phone I have ever had, won't let me get into any apps, freezes all the time and won't let me answer any calls . Do not recommend this hopeless phone to anyone. Waste of money and time buying it.
I previously had an Oppo phone and it was easy to use but got a new one and hate, hate it. It is so slow and I find it hard to switch off to reboot, nothing works well. Very disappointed, looking for new phone now.
After using my oppo I 8 phone for 8months i have found this phone to be completely hopeless .it just changes screens at the drop of a hat never again would I use a oppo phone extremely frustrating phone

Phone has literally come unstuck – My phone came unstuck so I approached Oppo got help. I live in aged care but all the could do was instruct me to brake it to one of their service centres, they are in Sydney and Melbourne. I responded that this isn't helpful and why, now being ignored. Disappointed as it's been a great phone for a senior who is vision impaired Show details
PURCHASED ON 05/12/25.... UNABLE TO RECHARGE BY 28/12/25. After an hour, it was still only at 1% which was not enough to restart. After 3 hours, same story. Good luck getting onto Customer Service: they just won't answer their phone. Thankfully, I purchased it from a reputable store (Officeworks- fantastic customer service) who… Read more
have agreed to exchange it for a better product. ps: pic taken with my trusty old Samsung that I dragged out of mothballs. Still better than a brand new Oppo.
Unsafe and Unprofessional Handling of Delivery – I ordered a product, and it was sent to the wrong address. When I contacted customer service, they asked me to reach out to the person at the wrong address and retrieve it myself. As a woman in my 20s, I don't believe it's safe or appropriate for them to ask customers to fix their mistake. It's unprofessional to expect anyone to take on that responsibility, especially when safety is a concern. Very disappointed with this service.

Forget warranty with Oppo – Sent phone in for repair when stopped reading Sim card. Did a factory reset before I sent back to office works for repair which started reading Sim card by office works staff member. Then Wouldn't clone phone so sent back for repair but Oppo claims water damage. Photos provided show no water damage. Apparently phone doesn't need to be submerged… Read more
either they claim. Completely rude, infuriating and incompetent staff. Hung up on me 5-6 times when I asked for manager. Now have to get in touch with office of fair trading and most likely take it to qcat out of principal. No point in providing warranty if they decline every claim for absolute nonsense I have always bought oppos as they're a good cheap alternative. Simply won't now due to the after care
China trash – Blurry, red, yellow, blue black hite etc. lines showing on screen etc. Have only had this Oppo mobile for over 6 months and I'll I'll be taking this matter further as it is under warranty. Show details

Took my daughters phone to repair centre in Sydney yesterday afternoon around 4 o'clock. I received a phone call at 10:30 am next day that phone is ready for pick up. Amassing service.
Follow-up · - Yes - $170 - Screen replacement
I purchased an OPPO Reno10 5G on 4 December 2023 from JB Hi-Fi for $537. For the first couple of years the phone was fine. Performance was decent, camera was solid, and overall it felt like reasonable value. However, just over two years in, the… Read more
battery performance noticeably deteriorated. For a mid-range phone at this price point, I would reasonably expect the battery to last longer than barely two years without requiring replacement.
When I took the phone in for a separate issue (stuck SIM tray), the service centre advised the battery required replacement at a cost of $40. While $40 may not seem like much, the principle matters. A battery failing so soon raises legitimate concerns about durability.
What was more disappointing than the battery itself was the customer service experience. I was given conflicting information about booking availability, “backlogs”, and who had authority to make decisions. When I raised Australian Consumer Law concerns about reasonable durability, I was repeatedly told that charges are determined solely by the service centre and could not be reviewed.
The impression given was that once the 2-year manufacturer warranty ends, that’s effectively the end of the discussion — which is not how consumer guarantees operate in Australia.
The phone itself is decent, but durability and after-sales support are just as important as specs. Based on this experience, I would think twice before purchasing another OPPO device.
Follow-up · Update (March 2026): Following on from my original review, I’ve now had the phone assessed and repaired. SIM tray: Yes, this was fixed by the authorised OPPO service centre. Service centre: OPPO authorised service centre located at Macquarie Park (NSW). Repair timeframe: The phone was lodged on 20 February 2026 and completed on 24 February 2026… Read more
Although a good functional phone, the port for charging and connecting becomes lose. This has happened on two Oppo phones I've owned. Very frustrating when the cord becomes lose and you find charging has been completed or when connection to Android Auto breaks when bumped. Show details
Follow-up · The model is A53s. I charge each evening. It does not support wireless charge. When connecting to Android Auto, the cable frequently disconnects with the slightest bump.

I have been a loyal OPPO user for more than 7 years, across phones, earphones, and tablets. I truly enjoy the experience, as every device runs seamlessly and smoothly.

Always had an oppo – Bought a new oppo A98 and every other oppo I've bought came with a silicon cover except this one and can't buy one at shops had it for two days and already cracked it
Hands down best phone I've ever owned – I've had every Samsung Galaxy up to the S21, and own the iPhone 13 Pro Max for work and owned a Pixel once, but the Oppo X3 Pro has been my favourite phone ever. It's light and doesn't strain my wrist, but still feels premium. Close to 2 years use and it is as lighting fast as the first day. Screen is strong and hasn't scratched or cracked after… Read more
many drops. The software is intuitive and cameras are brilliant. Battery life phenomenal. I have no complaints and am pretty blown away by this phone- will likely buy the next Oppo flagship over Apple or Samsung.

Can take over 20 seconds to respond to basic commands if you dare to do thing too fast and will result in you pressing buttons by accident that haven't even loaded yet. This leads to Software failing to match touch commands with what was actually on screen when touched. It's cheap but not worth the money. Buy a second hand better phone for the… Read more
same price. This phone regularly causes problems and is not reliable if you are in any kind of a rush. Just writing this review was unnecessarily difficult. Don't waist your money
Never ever ever buy anything from Oppo or Chinese brands. I'd give them 0 star if thats an option. Wasn't aware of the global green line issue until my over 3 year old phone got one. I understand it's out of warranty but asking $500 to fix the issue for this phones price is totally unexpected. Customer Service is absolutely rubbish. Don't seem to… Read more
care if you take them to ACL. Oppo probably pays ACL personals to ignore any claims. China themselves gets a better protection than the so called Australia Consumer Law as they got 4 year warranty for this issue.
The phone is so annoying. It wont close all the apps when you hit close, and i am over the screen going dark when I swipe down. These 2 things alone will stop me ever buying another one, also, the camera is not very good. Oppo A5 5G

The worst service ever. After waiting 3 hours, The lady simply came and said she can't replace Oppo Reno 13 Pro, which was only used seven months and under warranty Because warranty doesn't cover water leakage but the features in the phone says it takes photos under 2 meter depth water and for 30 minutes. advertisement. After fighting for a while, the faulty phone was replaced with a refurbished one not even a new one and I was advised not to use the underwater photo features. I have been using Oppo for ten years, Never again. Definitely taking this case to fairtrade. Oppo are selling and advertising underwater photography phones that if underwater features used, definitely will damage the phone.
Useless app phone. Could not open mt fb. Kept sending codes. Useless. Dun work. Bin this phone after smashing with an axe. But think orrible samsung locked me in. Lesson learnt. Dont do data transfer. Just new blank phone. Upload data to external device. Anyway buyinga new nokia phone as all systems n apps work. No data transfer but same log in to apps eg fb. I hate samsung with a vengience locking my stuff up...
The phone is good price, but there are multiple aspects of the phone that are reasons for why OPPO ACTUALLYS TRASH. Firstly, the phone shuts down randomly without any warning, there is a delay when you tap a button, and then it starts lagging like crazy when there is the littlest discomfort in internet.
User interface is rubbish it will just do what it wants not what you want it to, you try to open anything and it will randomly open anything but what you are trying to open. would never buy another and I don't think this one will last long before I smash it off the floor, I would advise everyone to find a different brand. I have owned OPPO phones for many years, at least 8 in total. I like their clean intuitive interface, build quality and great photo capabilities at the price point. I recently decided to upgrade both of my 7 year old devices to take advantage of 5G. The first phone was an 12 FS 5G, and the second an A60 5G. Both unlocked supposedly. The 12 FS… Read more
wouldn't register any local networks. With the help of an excellent support tech, based in Saudi Arabia (unfortunately) I was informed that the phone was set up for European frequency bands. Although he tried the support tech was unable to unlock it for Australian use as he was not based here. Apparently this is a fairly simple over the phone fix. The next issue is software related, and common to both phones. As I mentioned my liking for the OPPO's was based around it's optics and well designed user interface, well the user interface has been upgraded, if you consider a non-functional counter intuitive, cluttered, ugly interface to be an upgrade. I don't, I hate it. Simple things have gone wrong. I can no longer set individual ringtones, for example, something I use extensively to recognise different callers at times when my health makes it hard for me to read the screen. It used to be as simple as selecting the contact name selecting 'ringtone', then choosing a new ringtone. It updated automatically. Now, when you go back from selecting the tone, it tells you it has selected the new tone, but doesn't save it. This is only for personalised ringtones. I am able to change the system ringtone. Other issues ar that it seems to have locked me into 'Gboard' a Google owned keyboard that I can neither change or delete. I struggle to use a mobile phone because a spinal injury 25 years ago has left me with poor sense of touch, poor coordination and tremors. I could just about manage the old keyboard. Gboard seems to be hypersensitive, and has been impossible to adjust. As I try to move my finger between letters it randomly detects false key presses, and churns out garbage.
I contacted OPPO service here in Australia and was told that the only solution was to take my phone to their service centre the other side of the city. This was despite telling them that I was unable to travel, and had no means to get it to them, also despite their Middle east service centre telling me that the 12FS problem could be fixed remotely.
It is also blatantly obvious that the other issues can only be software since they exist on 3 phones ( I have 2 A60's) and 2 different models whose only commonality is the software. There is also no conceivable way that failing to be able to change a ringtone can be anything but a software issue. I say that from over 50 years of experiencing designing both hardware and software.
The keyboard sensitivity issue could potentially be due to the OS itself, however it seems to be more a Gboard function as data entry that avoids Gboard lacks the same sensitivity.
Purchased A5 5g to upgrade from a78 One of the features is a pre installed FM radio app. However it doesn't work after many overseas calls and a visit to an authorised Oppo service centre which is only your everyday mobile repair shop who did not have any clue. phones to support radio function. Why sell them with the app installed knowing it doesn't work. It is still a good phone for the price, but if you want to listen to radio forget it .there back up service is very poor I'm lucky it's only the radio not working.
Absolutely appalling customer service. work. Told to go into local support shop, which had absolutely no idea how to support and just advised us to send our phone back to support in Sydney. Sent it there. After a couple of weeks, received it back with advice saying they fixed it, but still the same issues. Suggested that they would have to replace it but could only do that if I sent it back again. Promised urgency and prioritisation. Sent it back. They advised they would replace with refurbished phone, which I declined and advised that I would like a refund, which is my right under consumer law. They advised that the technician would look at it again and my request for a refund would take 3-5 days to assess. What a joke! DO NOT BUY! We will never be buying again
The phone is basic, do not expect to take photos, the camera is the worst. Probably the most disappointing part actually. The camera cant even take a decent capture without fuzz and distortion. Issues with the dual sim also. Cheap phone, Samsung would be better for choice in a basic phone. . Show details

The phones already been sent away once before, even that was a nightmare. it literally died after doing an update, phones under warranty I've been waiting almost 2 weeks for a resolution and they come back blaming the issue on me which is yet another Lie They now say they will repair and send it back WHAT THE ACTUAL it's clearly a faulty phone from all the issues I've had They say they care and understand they apologise but yet do NOTHING It's not good enough I will NEVER BUY AGAIN
Absolutely worst phone ever! Slow to load, apps crash, screen glitches, slow to open apps. It's just all round crap. Would never recommend! Can't wait to smash the thing to pieces! Even lived chat to them, to say how crap their phones are
I have never said i hate this phone so many times as I have owning an oppo Closes apps while using them In order to save battery it will close things that I am using often causing me more work and time Fill in a form need to copy something like BSB and account from another screen ... ... This is to save battery ... Which is great if battery is low but if I am on 70 percent or on charge it is redundant
Now the obvious answer would be to work out how to change these settings ... So when you do that and there are A LOT of additional steps to change THESE settings if you finally managed it ... At some point it decides your new settings use to much battery and changes them all back ... This is over and over and over
Oppo is great if your priority is battery saving ... This used to be important but now we have chargers everywhere, power banks are cheap ... Time isn't
