Oravet Dental Hygiene Chews

My dog loves these dental chews. After a $600 major clean at the vet, I was recommended to try these last year. His teeth and gums are still looking really good. Show details
My tiny Chihuahua loves them, so I’m hoping they do as advertised and keep her teeth in tip top condition. Delivery was great, left at front door as requested :) Ordering was easy and if all goes well I will do Auto Delivery
Follow-up · I purchased the smallest size, and then I split them, lengthwise. My Pap/Chi really looks forward to them. Acts like they are a treat, so it’s a win all round. One at the end of the day…..
After just taking one my little had runny poo this morning and hasnt eaten all day. Tonight her tum is rumbling. Im disgusted with this company promoting something thats got chemicals and to have the audacity to say its good for animals. Good for their pocket as its damned expensive and now a whole bag goes with my money in the bin. Show details
Great for bad dog breath – Only thing that actually made my dogs bad breath go away. I have been using them for months. Although, I don’t give them once a day he is a mini poodle and I give him them every three days.
Negative – These chews are really expensive and my 15 month old bichoodle would not touch them. They don’t look or smell appetising and my dog is not a fussy eater. No refund available as the main package had been opened even though the treats are individually wrapped. Definitely not recommended. Show details
Negative – I got the small size, up to 9 lbs, from my vet. I cut the product up into 4 pieces to give to my 2 toy poodles (both over 13 lbs). When one of my poodles died of kidney failure a week ago , I started giving the remaining dog the entire chew cut up. It does help breath, but I noticed green, runny poop. Before I proceed, I need to state two things:… Read more
my dog does not get in garbage, nor is he food driven. There were no dietary changes & im home all day supervising. Also, I’m not saying the product definitely caused the problem I encountered last week. My dog got acute pancreatitis. He almost died, needed to be hospitalized for 4 days. The only change in his life (besides losing his sister), was adding the whole chew to his diet. I also gave a chew to my friend to give to her small breed. The dog vomited it up within minutes. I informed my vet, who did not have any negative feedback from his patients. But personally, I cannot rule out these chews as a cause of the pancreatitis, so I would not recommend it at all.
Waste of money – Oravet Dental Chews. The chews are large, very hard and instructions are for a dog to have one per day. The dog will chew slowly and therefore help remove plaque from their teeth. Our dog has refused the chews and I still have 13 chews sitting in the packet.
