Not powerful enough for car tyres – I bought this compressor today assuming that, since it runs off mains power and claims to deliver up to 180 L/minute of compressed air, it should be ideal for my car tyres. I wanted something quicker than my current two small portable compressors that run off my cars 12 volt batteries. It looks solid and the nozzle clip and pressure gauge were a… Read more

good fit onto my tyre valve. However, the compressor doesn't deliver air at an acceptable rate. After three attempts, and letting it run for a several minutes each time, I was only able to raise the tyre pressure by 2 psi as measured by a reliable and accurate hand-held JAMEC-PEM pressure gauge. The pressure gauge on the Ozito nozzle constantly oscillated near 40 psi even though the real pressure was 25 psi. Perhaps this particular unit is faulty? It goes back tomorrow for a refund.

Power without finesse – Seems to be quite robust and certainly powerful enough to make short work of any inflation job. The only negative is a pressure gauge with a range of 0 - 170 psi which is way too coarse when used to inflate ride-on mower tyres (8 - 12 psi) and basketballs (7 - 9 psi) etc. Very difficult to be confident of inflated pressure when you're dealing with the lower 5% of full scale.

But it works fine inflating car tyres and, with the attachments provided, balls, air beds and bike tyres. With a 3 year… Read more

replacement warranty (at any Bunnings' outlet) I'm confident of getting value out of it. However I've found it wise to wear decent ear muffs: it's very noisy and its vibrations cause it to drift if not stabilised.
