Gets hot within minutes – This sander gets hot quickly. Like, within a few minutes you'll need gloves to hold it. If you persist (through frustration at having to stop every five minutes to wait 20 minutes for it to cool down) it gets so hot you can't hold it even through gloves. Also, it is loud as. Not only will you need ear protection, but everyone else in the house will too.

great value – Recommended for handyman use only so we don't expect it to go all day every day nor did we purchase it for anything but light use. After a few days general use we note the belts will not last long especially with painted surfaces, so it might be an idea to grab a grit cleaning stick because the spare 120 grade belts are about $9 a 3 pack (a 5th of the overall price of the unit!). The noise is horrific (well over the allowable decibels methinks) - worse than a 2 stroke Bridgestone 350cc running on an ethanol mix so ear muffs are essential & by all rights need to be included in the pack ? We would also recommended a few standard grades of sanding paper be made available at an affordable price please. Of particular mention is the after sales service. Possibly the best we've experienced of late. Overnight delivery and a pleasant manner by the reps. Well done Ozito. (Will keep you posted on the longevity, warranty if any probs etc)
Good but very very noisy – Product works well enough on small jobs, gets very hot quickly, the noise it makes is just extra loud , so loud that one needs hearing protection when using it, I would certainly never purchase another
This one is a mix of good and not so good – I bought this belt sander for a small project. It did good for the price i paid. But for any bigger project than a picture frame, it is not so good. It can't take the work load. I blew 2 of them in a weekend just sanding skirting board in one room. The good part is that it sit conformably in your hand and it is very easy to change the belts and the price is unbeatable. As usual with Ozito you can have a good product or just an average one. It is more about what are you using it for. But you cant get it wrong with the warranty they offer on them. The price and warranty Only capable of doing small jobs
Good when it went – Worked well for cleaning up old cedar boards so they could be reused in a boat.Very easy to hold and to put on new belts -about 4 seconds. Good for removing 1-3mm of rough and discoloured wood in just a few minutes. 3 years guarantee is good for a cheap power tool. 3 year gaurantee.Did the job.Cheap at $46Nz Broke down after 2 years of used. That would be about 10 hours use in that time
