Ozito Questions & Answers
VerifiedJust bought a Cordless Detail Sander PXMSS-700 (with Enviro Air Dust Canister & Filter) to clean up the area surrounding 2 small venetians blinds installations. Got it home opened the box and found it was tagged with "Important This product is not recommended for drywall or plaster use........ Drywall sanders in conjunction with dust extraction are recommended for drywall and plaster sanding applications". ERRR Isn't that what I just bought?... to sand down my gyprock wall repair ??? Regards, Michael
Technically no, that's not what you bought. From my experiences from paint to wood to plaster and gyprock ect. The dust particles can be finer in some materials. Powder dust wouldn't be recommended for these tools but that's not saying it won't do the job. If you need it for Gyprock and you don't mind voiding warranty then I'd use it for that. I personally don't see you having much problems over than the filter not working 100% with those finer particles
Good After noon, Have a PCS 406B chain saw which has a problem with the fuel line from the tank. How do you replace this with out dismantling the whole chain saw.

Might I suggest an 8 kg sledge hammer ?
Re Ozito Blower/vacs: can anyone tell me if model BLV 2402 is that much better ie more efficient than BLV 2401, as there is quite a price difference, Thanks?

Has anyone had any succes cutting mini orb with the 500w Ozito Metal cutting shears,as I have have no luck at all.
Sorry Richard but I can't help you on this one
I have about 6 power tools but can not find charger for the batteries bunnings say it is to old.
Not sure how old they are or the type/size/style of batteries they are and the tools that they are used in but I see that you have two options. 1) Bunnings is obliged under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) to provide spare parts and/or replacements for a set period which can extend outside the warranty period and suggest that you peruse their website about this to see if you fit these requirements. 2) If this is no good, try Battery World to see if they can supply a generic charger that could accommodate your batteries or visa-versa, new batteries to the equipment. Other than this, you may be looking at buying replacements. I tend to today, buy the cheaper type products with big warranties and when they die, it is no big deal to replace them. Good luck in your ventures.
What is the Db (noise) rating for your 1250W 20L Wet and Dry Vacuum (I/N 6290573)?
I don't have an Ozito one but have a Vax. All of them will produce a higher level of noise over the standard vacuum cleaner due to the suction levels required and air noise. Sorry that I can't be more helpful than this.
HELO, I am trying to find out the difference between (1) OZITO 18V Grass Trimmer Kit OGT-0185 selling at Bunnings for $89 and (2) OZITO Power XChange PXC 18V selling at Bunnings for $125. I assume the second one is more upmarket ? but was unable to get an answer from Bunnings. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Hi John. Try to get the Special Orders department to follow up your question as you may have had someone from another department serve you and they didn't know much about it. If that draws a blank, ask the question as to why they carry both types????? They normally are quite helpful at my store.
The batteries will fail and Ozito will ignore you. I tried many times to buy a battery from them that was just over a year old and out of warranty and they flatly ignored me because it wasn't a warranty claim. I have power tools in my garage that are useless and my only option is to rebuild the batteries myself, which is not cost efficient. In comparison, I have Hitachi and Makita power tools that have batteries which are many years older and still performing well. Bunnings buy the right to use a once reputable name, like Karcher, Victa, Gerni and then trash the name with cheap Chinese manufactured products that fail quickly.
I have the dropsaw stand that opens out to 2050mm. One of the rollers unscrewed and fell off during transit. Can I get a replacement roller for it?
Im sure you can. Id contact Ozito directly as sometimes they will send small pets out free of charge.
Thankyou
Good luck, if it's not under warranty they will brush you off. Cheap and nasty Chinese junk. They are tied up with Bunnings.
I feel the best option is to take it back to Bunnings and drop it in their lap and tell them know that you are going to get a new one. Watch them baulk when you come back to the counter with a replacement.
