Sorry, insufficient information. Are you enquiring about the low voltage transformer?

ecureuilhuiy

Yes the transformer lead that plugs into the back of the TV. Hard to measure the pin size but appears to be approx 2 > 2.5mm

Palsonic has manuals on their web site: here is a link to the 4980M set: external link  If that is not the set your are enquiring about then try searching for a manual for your particular model. Ask again if you can't work it out from the manual.

Where would I buy a power cord for a Palsonic TFTV6080MV?

Ross39
Ross39

I would begin by writing to or telephoning Palsonic and asking the question. It's a simple set up similar to many televisions used in mobile homes and caravans. If Palsonic cannot help then search for a TV power supply with a 240V input and an output of 12V - 3 amp. I thought I had a spare one here from my caravanning days but sorry, I can't find it.

Not to my knowledge. You could try Palsonic's web page external link

Palsonic is an Australian company so you could email them and ask.

How can I reset the password cause I forget my password?

Ross39
Ross39

I'm afraid I can't help you there. Palsonic is an Australian company. external link  This is a link to their Customer Support Centre. You might find the answer there. Just as an aside but related to your question, I use Pass Word Safe to store all my passwords in one place. Here is a link to download it:

external link

The free version is the one I have used for years. Some handy features include:

1. It needs just one password to open the first time you turn on your 'pewter.

2. it generates passwords for you and you can decide just what letters, numbers and symbols it uses to do this.

3. it will enter Username and Password in web sites with one click.

There are other features like keeping notes etc. but I'm sure you will never lose another password again - if you use it. There are versions for Windows and Android (phone/tablet) and possibly for Apple products.

I have lost my Manual to my Palnasonic TV - 21.5" Model TFTV 5589 model number TFTV 5580 MW. How do I find it on my PC?

Thanks.

Ross39
Ross39

Follow this URL (Universal Resource Locater) external link  In the first box select (click on) "LED-LCD Televisions" In the second box select "LED-LCD DVD Combo" In the third box scroll down and select "TFTV 5580 MW"

Click on the box "View Manual"

This will download a manual for your unit in PDF (Portable Document Format)

If you don't have a PDF viewer installed then search for "Nitro Viewer" navigate to

external link

After downloading, install the programme which should be ver. 3.5.6.5

If you don't know, most programmes on your computer will have a HELP tab which will pop down and show an item "About" which, when clicked, gives you the version information of the programme installed.

If you wish you can buy a copy of the Professional Nitro PDF Creator from the same site.

I hope I have covered everything. Let me know if you need more.

My tv is only picking up five channels. How can I fix this? I used to be able to get a lot more.

John

When I purchased one of these televisions several years ago that was the problem. I suspect they don't receive channels very well. A direct line from an external aerial may help.

Ross39
Ross39

I'm afraid I can't help on that one. You could try approaching the vendor (retailer) to see if they have an answer. If still under warranty they should either repair or replace. You could also try contacting Palsonic Australia via their web site or by telephone. As an Australian company I'm sure they would be willing to advise.

Is there a suggested combination of settings for picture adjustments? The picture is not very good and I have changed the multiple 8 settings without having a clear picture.

Ross39
Ross39

To tune ANY colour Television set these are my suggestions. Turn down the colour to zero then turn down the Contrast and Brightness to zero. You should end up with a blank screen. Not all TV manufacturers use the same criteria, so don't be surprised if this is not what happens.

NEXT. Turn up the Contrast until you get a faint image then turn up the brightness until you get a good monochrome image. As I said, all TVs are different so you may need to fiddle a bit with these two settings.

NEXT: Turn up the colour until the skin tones on people look "normal" Do not make the colour too high but remember some TVs will accentuate the Reds or the Blues or the Greens or any combination of these.

Sharpness should be set to about mid-way or a bit lower.

Colour Temperature should be set to medium but if you prefer, try the Warm and the Cool settings to check which you prefer. Colour Temperature is just a fine tuning of the Colour control. Try not to overdo it.

If these instructions don't work, then it is worth while going back and starting all over again but this time fiddle with the controls to make sure you get a good monochrome image to start with.

Hi Shirley. As I returned this TV due to its failure to receive images I can't help. John

Press the EPG button. To be honest I don't use the set to watch broadcasts but rather to watch pre-recorded DVDs. But most remote "stick" do the same thing.

Where can I buy a stand for the 24" TFTV6080M TV/DVD Combo? My brother had it in a Nursing Home where it was not attached to the stand.

Ross39
Ross39

My television came with a stand included. Palsonic is an Australian company, why not try contacting them direct. Here is a link to follow: external link  If that doesn't help try a retailer who sells them e.g. DSE (Dick Smith) or JB HiFi

Lee Tsakalos
Lee Tsakalos

Thank you for your answer - this television came with a stand included too but the Nursing Home attached it to their set-up above beds and did not use the stand. Now they have installed new TVs for each bed and my brother's one has been returned to me but without it's stand. Will try your suggestions.

Have TFTV6080M TV bought for Caravan, works brilliant on 240V, used first time on 12V and didn"t work.We were assured at JB HI FI when we bought TV that it was 12V compatible and would work. Can not find anywhere in Manual Amps used . Can anyone help or advise what is wrong?

Ross39
Ross39

The model I have is the TFTV5580M but works from 12 volt provided by a permanent transformer. In other words it has no 220/240 volt capability without the transformer or a separate 12 volt power supply. Our caravan had 12v power supplied via the caravan battery so it was just a matter of plugging into the wall socket. Just a few dollars to make up a lead, or use the transformer and plug into the 220/240 volt supply.

My TV draws 3 Amps (max) at 12 volt if that helps you track down your problem.

Under consumer law, if it fails to work within a short time after purchase you have recourse to the vendor for repair or replacement. Palsonic is an Australian company. Their warranty must be at least 12 months. Try them if it's a warranty issue.
