No Bluetooth, Chromecast whatsoever – My older hifi (one with cassette player) works better than this. This has no AUX or AV input to connect Chromecast or Bluetooth adapter. Can only play radio now as nobody uses 30pin iPhones. Useless. Show details

Cant tune the radio even with remote – No aux input. Not able to tune either frequency of radio. ? who has cd these days? Very good at attracting dust. Was in a hotel unit w no instructions. Panasonic not providing them online. I think the radio sensitivity is so low that unless next to transmitter dont bother anyway. Avoid this product.  Show details

Worst purchase of my life – We really regret not researching before buying this stereo.. the only thing it can be used for is CD. The worst part is that we bought it off the floor from HN and forgot to get the remote so can’t ecen scan to find new stations! Whoops! Can’t be used with a modern iPhone, has no auxiliary jack so can’t plug the iPod in, and who actually uses a CD… Read more

these days? Admittedly it was our fault for not looking into it but it should not be on the shelf, it’s not the 90’s!

Why not supply proper antennas and an ipod/phone Dock Adaptor with the PM 500 System – AM reception is very poor and the FM antenna being a short piece of wire without a proper plug is little better than useless. Bought the System 2 days ago now I have to hunt around for a proper AM and FM antenna also an ipod dock adaptor. These items should be supplied with the system at purchase. I hope I can get antennas that make the system usable.

Don't Buy if You Want to Listen to FM Radio in outer areas! – This unit looks good and is a nice compact size. However, my unit scanned radio frequencies in 10KHz steps at the beginning. This means that 90% of AM & FM stations are so off frequency, that they are too painful to listen to. I called Panasonic, who said that's the way it is! Not true. I eventually found out how to scan in 9KHz and get Australian channels, except FM needs an external antenna!

A.M. Radio is very poor – It's difficult to find a system that has A.M. Radio. I bought this from Harvey Norman, but couldn't try the radio in store - big mistake. The F.M. Radio and CD sound is good, but A.M. Radio is ver disappointing. I expected much better from Panasonic. The package is neat, and looks good; but performance not so good.

Good value – I was wanting a small but decent unit for the kitchen that could play mp3's and fm radio. I dont use an i-phone or i-pod so the usb connection was a big factor. Some features such as skipping a folder are only accessible from the remote but otherwise the features are easy to use. It took me a while to work out how to skip folders when using the… Read more

usb (in the instructions under playing CD's) but not a big problem.

The usb port is on the right hand edge of the unit so the usb drive sticks out at a 45 degree angle when plugged in - not a problem, it just means that you cant sit the unit flush on the right side against anything. Good sound for a small unit. Ideal for everyday use. I purchased the unit for a great price @ $192 Usb connection, price Positioning of usb connector
