Great high density foam steps that are safe for old dogs. My old dog loves these foam steps so much I bought a second set. The top step can be removed to suit the height of your furniture better. If your pet stumbles, the foam can't hurt them like wooden steps or a ramp might. I can't recommend these steps highly enough for old pets. 5 stars from me.
Good, but not perfect – We recently bought a new bedframe, and once installed with the mattress on top, it was higher than we had anticipated. Whilst our dog isn't super elderly she is getting on a bit. She's also smallish (12kg) in size, and we were worrying about the impact on her joints when she jumps off the bed. The steps are made of foam, so light and easy to move around. You do need a decent sized bedroom to avoid tripping over them (our master bedroom is 5.0m long x 3.5m wide).
Steps come in different sizing and we got the largest available comprising 4 steps and total of 61cm high.
The only negative is that the material covering the steps is advertising as terry cloth, but it feels much more like velveteen. As such our dog slipped on them once or twice at the start when she was getting used to them (and if she gets excited and tries to run down instead of taking them slowly). Hence losing one star.
