As soon I found, I emailed asking why, in a mater of second I got auto email from them that they have cancelled my subscription and as a token offering me 2 year free file compression service. I never asked for even cancellation in the email so how come they knew I am about to send them email for cancellation? All I asked why they charged and where I have signed to their monthly service. I sent another email asking to refund, however they refused and said it is non refundable. To me this website is a scam and would be charging millions of people after getting their card details.
Same experience as many others. You pay for a one off service, no obvious mention of an on-going subscription, and have an iron clad no-refund policy. Customer service are literally bots. We love a business model that relies on scamming people. So disgusting.

This is a scam dont use it. They trick you into a one time download for £1 and then 7 days later charge you £50. They come back with gdpr nonsense, and therms you signed up for which you clearly didnt see. What this is set up for is to trick you using a tool once and paying £50 for it. These people are crooks and they reply with the attached copy paste answers.

And the funniest part? Their yearly plan is $25. But somehow after seven days they justify charging people over triple that, without consent, without warning, and apparently without a soul.
The amount of people they’ve done this to is insane. At this point it’s not a glitch it’s their entire business model.
PDF Guru, if you’re reading this: How do you sleep at night? Silence your notifications, tuck yourself in, and drift off knowing you’ve built an empire off scamming thousands of people? Must be cosy.
To everyone else: Run. Or better yet, take your $0.99 and buy literally anything else. A chewing gum. A pen. A rock. All three have more integrity than this company.

When I contacted support and politely requested a refund as a goodwill gesture, they hid behind their terms of service and refused. Apparently, silently charging customers is perfectly fine in their book.
This is not how legitimate businesses operate. This is predatory billing designed to catch you off guard. They count on you not noticing.
I have initiated a chargeback through my payment provider. I am also reporting this practice to consumer protection authorities.
Save yourself $50 and stay far away from PDF Guru. There are dozens of free and honest alternatives that don't need to trick you to make money.

refund me because it’s a subscription you automatically agree to when you pay that one off fee, then when I sent them proof of cancellation they stated it takes around 10 days for deduction from your bank. You only get AI customer service and they have no formal complaints procedure. Never use this company.
