Not suitable for training only as punishment – This collar made my dog jump, severely head shake and become anxious on the lowest setting of vibration and static. When finding the right level for your dog he should have a mild reaction like a simple ear raise or head turn. and stop tapping when the dog gives the correct behaviour but when you press the button in this device the static and vibration stay on too long so if the dog does the right behaviour he is still feeling the static or vibration and gets confused. Not suitable for training. There are other collars like the mini educator and dogtra collars that have over 100 levels and start with a much lower level more suitable for training (this collar only has 16 static levels). It has made my dog so anxious that after a couple of uses he was jumping just at the sound of the button noise. This ecollar will punish your dog (as you can see from reviews) but is not suitable for training. I have asked for a refund as the product is not suitable for training as it says in the description or what I bought it for but they have been rude and replied with misinformed comments such as "all ecollars have the same static levels". And that they have lots of great reviews (little do they know that they can remove up to 20% of their reviews and this was confirmed by judgeme the platform they use). I have had to take it to Consumer affairs now to try and get my money back. Also although this collar says waterproof be aware that under the refund policy they have a note saying they do not cover for water damage so if your dog swims do not buy this collar or you will have no warranty on it.
