Pet-Tech X1500 Professional Waterproof Remote Trainer

I purchased the PT200 Premium Waterproof Remote Trainer Collar after reviewing the sizing guide. My dog weighs 3.7kg, which falls within the stated range on the website, yet the collar did not fit properly. When I contacted the company, I was advised to cut the collar and seal the ends with nail polish to make it fit. Given that this is an… Read more
expensive piece of equipment and my dog is very active, I was not comfortable modifying it myself or relying on that kind of fix to hold up over time. I don’t believe customers should have to alter a product to make it usable. The return process was also disappointing. I paid for return shipping and then had $15 deducted from my refund as a restocking fee. As a result, I was left out of pocket for a product that was not as described. When I raised my concerns, the response I received clearly stated at the end that it was AI-generated. It makes me question whether this is a common issue and whether the response is pre-prepared due to the volume of similar complaints. Overall, this was a frustrating and costly experience. Based on both the product and the customer service, I would not recommend Pet Tech.
Dont waste your money – Faulty since the start, and tehy want you to mail back at your own cost and offer an upgrade for additional money. If it doesnt work, you pay for the return and send out a working model. simple if you want to do good business. Rubbish. Show details
Cheap products, do not buy – Terrible after sales service. Will not refund faulty products. Cheap nasty products Show details
Broke without much use at all – Clip broke on about the tenth time we used the collar. We could do really good training with the collar but he needs reminding. Then we thought of tying the ends whilst waiting for a replacement clip and the collar won’t turn on at all. Contacted business pet tech who want me to send it back (with me paying) when Clip is clearly broken and btw… Read more
replacement Clip has not turned up. Sent video of the collar not turning on and making funny beeping sounds. She said she wanted to make sure it wasn’t water damaged? What moron would use a device like this on a live animal in the water? Just got the sense they don’t want to replace it- not happy as it’s virtually brand new.
Not sure what the others are talking about, great products and after sales support – Well, if there is one thing this year that has worked, it’s the Pet Tech collar! Peace reigns on our house from our barking Jack Russell, he is now just doing a little growl instead of the non stop barking for it seems hours. Very happy with this purchase, worth every cent I paid!!!! Show details
Absolute rubbish – Doesn’t work. Over 3 weeks and 2 collars - the shock function worked 7 times. Totally unreliable and Pet tech replaced the first collar and the replacement was worse. I spoke to Amanda and she pretty much said it was operator error and to send them both back for testing. I threw them in the bin! Show details
Shock function didn't work at all – I was truly hoping this collar would be the answer to taming my willful and strong 18-month Staffy, who gets so caught up in distractions when out walking that he lunges uncontrollably without warning. While the results initially looked promising, he soon got used to the beeping and vibrate functions and worked out that these were not really… Read more
anything to worry about, and chose to ignore them. The shock function was the reason I purchased this collar, as I did think that would be the only way to distract my dog briefly enough to get his attention back onto me when out walking. Unfortunately I couldn't get that function to work at all (with the exception of one random time where I clearly saw an obvious reaction, which unfortunately I couldn't replicate). I went through a very detailed process of trial and error over several weeks, adjusting the tightness of the collar, the positioning on his neck, the intensity level (trying them all), changing over to the longer prongs and even shaving a little patch of hair under my dog's neck (which surely shouldn't be necessary, but I was desperate for it to work) to make sure the prongs were in contact with skin - absolutely nothing worked. I returned the item to the seller who denies any fault and claims the item functions perfectly, so it's become his word against mine, and he's digging in firmly. He's frequently ignored my communications or dismissed them out of hand and so I'm now left with no choice but to request a refund via paypal. I purchased this item after careful consideration over a multitude of lower-priced alternatives on offer in the marketplace wanting something safe yet effective to train my dog, but in the end paying more for fancy name and 'five star' reviews (all carefully curated on the company's own website I must note) has offered no greater guarantee of certainty than a $50 item of similar description, even though this cost twice that much. I can't recommend the collar nor the company selling it, given their poor attitude to receiving genuine feedback and honouring their product with a refund when it doesn't work as promised.
