Not worth it – Exactly after 2 years the motor has died. Only way to continue using is to buy $30 pump! What a rip off!!! Stay away and get a different brand or type of water fountain!!

Purchased in for $80.

Update, we bought the new motor and guess what it does not fit our one - basically they don't sell one that fits ours anymore! Instead been advised to use a silicone! Bunnings confirmed they don't have food grade silicone!!! I'm not putting any non food grade silicone in my cat's water pump!!! This company should not be supported at all. We Will stop buying any PetKit items!!!

Broke after 7 months – It broke after less than twelve months. I don't have the receipt but for the money I will try to find another pet fountain. My dog loves moving water so I know it sounds ridiculous but he wants running water. I just thought this one would be ok. It actually was good while it lasted. The only thing is it didn't last. Also before it dies it was making really bad noises

Overpriced, very problematic fountain – The fountain looks good and is easy to service as the main body of it is easily removable from the base. It actually looks good, modern and functional. The cat drinks from it, which is a bonus, but it did take a few days to get used to it after the old fountain. But, the filter blocks after about about five days and when it does the water empties onto the floor. We are changing filters every 5 - 6 days (@ $6 each) to stop damaging the floor. We use filtered water in the fountain to no avail. It is just a bad design, the small slot for emergency overflow (I guess) is too small and doesn't work, hence the overflowing onto the floor. The water is pumped up and flows back down through the filter apparently so the reservoir at the bottom is filtered. If the power goes out the cat is left with no water. There is a battery back up which is supposed to work in those circumstances, working on demand as the cat approaches the unit. That doesn't work either. Changed the batteries, changed the position, changed the orientation, nothing. So if power goes out, no water. Consequently we have to have a water bowl available as well if we are out for the day, which sort of defeats the purpose of the fountain. All in all, expensive for not a great fountain. After only 4 months we have given up and bought a replacement - ceramic, same as one PETKIT replaced when something was dropped on it and it cracked.
