GREAT RELIABILITY & FANTASTIC DRIVING EXPERIENCE – 2007 -2016 PEUGEOT EXPERT & CITROEN DISPATCH ARE VERY GOOD VANS I have owned a couple of these vans both well over 300,000 km on them. I am a motor mechanic with over 40 years experience in the auto trade & yes I’ve heard & experienced all the stories about Peugeot’s & Citroen’s & are very aware of their faults & issues. The turbo diesel engines… Read more

are very good, provided you service them every 5000 km with quality engine all and oil filter. They have their little quirks and issues but overall my van drives very well. Being built off the C5 and C6 platform with massive reinforcement in the chassis to carry the load of a vans capability, they are built very solidly and are truly well put together. Yes, being a van it can be a little bit noisy at high speed however reliability and handling of the van itself is incredible. My van can out handle most normal cars around Bends, The Peugeot and Citroen vans Are very well balanced and quite athletic given they are commercial vehicle. With the tyre pressure is pumped to 45 psi at the front and rear, The steering is sharp and very responsive, you could never called this fan dial or boring to drive as dynamically, it is surprisingly very good.

Economy is around 8 L per/ 100 kms consistently, plenty of grunt & power given it’s only a 2 L Turbo Diesel motor, With a six speed manual transmission. Just over 300,000kms I have replaced the two front lower control arms, the front swaybar links, clutch kit assembly including the rear main crankshaft seal as a precaution. I have also replaced the 2 front driveshaft CV joint assemblies as they were out causing a slight vibration upon acceleration (This is common around 240km plus) The inner CV joints wore out from lack of lubrication, so I suggest if you have one with less milage than this to remove the driveshaft clean them out and re-Grease them with a quality Molly-Graphite type grease to prolong the life of the driveshaft.

The only real issue I’ve had with the vehicle has been the AC to condenser hose, we just started to leak and I’ve lost all the AC gas. Now the air conditioning is not working until I replace the leaking hose and evacuate and re-gas the system. Air-conditioner compressor is still original not making any noises which is good.

All the wheel bearings are original on the car, I’ve just replaced the front discs and pads which we’re not worn out totally still had some more life in them but I decided to renew the front brakes. The rear disc rotors are worn and I will be changing them shortly.

Overall it’s been a fantastic van that I’ve owned since 2017. It’s very comfortable to drive, it handles extremely well, has fantastic brakes & is very dynamic on the road.

The most overlooked feature on this particular van is the low loading lip and ease of getting in an out of the vehicle compare to a Toyota hi ace, you can’t compare the two. Just try getting in an out of a Ford transit or a Toyota hi ace a few times and then try The Peugeot expert, Citroen dispatch or Fiat Scudo, all of which are of the same basic car just with different names. They even sold these as a Toyota Pro-Ace in some countries overseas. Don’t be afraid of these cars just make sure that it’s had a good mechanic looking after it and talk to anybody that owns one. The spare parts are expensive at any dealership for any brand or model of car, so you can use eBay which has plenty of spare parts options from Europe and you will find the parts are actually very cheap. The biggest problem with these European vans is trying to find somebody that knows what they’re doing when it comes to servicing or repairing them, as many mechanics run away from them for no reason other than being unfamiliar with them.

I am still very happy with my vehicle and have no intention on replacing it with another vehicle of the similar time. Given how much I paid for mine and what it does for me, why would I need to spend $50,000 to get a new version of something that probably isn’t as reliable!

Constant Problems – I inherited this car through the purchase of a business. The car has been nothing but trouble!!!! Spoken to Von Bibra Gold Coast, they were hopeless to say the least! Spoke to Peugeot Head Office, they couldn't careless.....this car has only done 88,000 km's and its a heap of junk. One small positive, the car is nice to drive. I am selling the… Read more

problem and purchasing a Mercedes Vito, which are a far more reliable and solid workhorse.

Brilliant-I love it – Have had this van for 3 1/2 years and it has done 125000km. Travels loaded every day and returns below 8l/100km consistently, much better than any previous van. I did replace the original tyres as they were terrible in the wet and replaced them with Toyos. They are much better but create more road noise. Other than that there has never been a hint… Read more

of a problem, I will keep this one and probably buy another one to replace it, whenever that is... Comfortable, reliable, economical Original tyres
