These hearing aids are terrible. They amplify everything. They cannot discriminate between speech and anything else They are the worst investment I have ever made. The app you download is ridiculous and hopeless. Whoever wrote this is incompetent. The equaliser is worse than a $20 headset. You get 3 adjustments only. The hearing aids are as discriminating as an elephant in a glass shop. I am disgusted. The cost of them is a total waste of money. I contacted Phonak and they told me to go back to the audiologsit. I have already revisited the audiologist at least 4 times. A waste of my effort and time.

Follow-up  · The main problem is tthe amplification of every backround sound. for example carrying my keys is a loud jingle. They do not discerne between voices and other sounds. More often than not, background sounds dominate over voices - making them close to useless Audiologist just keeps trying differnet settings. no acknowledgement of the underlying probelm. I am sure they know this as all adjustments are made in a sound proof room so backgrouds cannot be assessed. i expect the app to be stabe. when i select a hearing program I expect it to stay, but it changes. I expected to be able to set an equaliser to suit my hearing - as i can in the car or the headphones i use. I want to stop the "bing bong" sound when it changes programs but cant. The TV bos i bought is a big help however it is out of sync with the TV and creates an echo. There is no way to fix this. The app jumps from the TV box to automatic and back again constantly if the TV is off

Hi Peter, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear about your experience.

Please reach out to your clinic, and they can contact our Audiology Support Team for assistance.

We absolutely service devices that are five years old, as we still have parts available.

We’d be happy to help resolve this for you!

Reliable and trustworthy products – I have just upgraded to the phonak lumity hearing aid. I have gone from battery operated to rechargeable. Its a sturdy well made hearing aid. The sound quality is exceptional and I can once again hear sounds that I previously had difficulties. I have found the phonak brand reputable and is keeping up with advances in technology.

Cross b phonak to expensive for the life of the unit – Purchased a set of cross b as only have one working ear Paid a lot of money.after 2.5 years approx, they just didn't work .I only use after work of on weekends as im in a noisy environment at work and ear muffs can pull out a hearing aid and step on it and $4000+ gone. Sent them back through the connect hearing company . The replaced totally the two units ,then after 7 months approx, they failed again , phoned by phonak chief and I said the extended warrantty does it go from the receipt of the new set, they were reluctant to answer this ,saying it was from the origional purchase date of the first set. They then relented and sent another set and said I have one year left and now this set wont power charge. We shall see what happens now as its about 7_ 8 month since receiving the repaired 3 rd set. Wish i never chose the most expensive. 1/3 the cost of a small car! Update ,,,,They are honouring the 1 year warranty in for repair now.

Hearing Aid chargers – Late in 2021, I purchased the Phonak Rechargeable hearing aids with blue tooth connection to my mobile. At first all seemed fantastic and worth the $4000 I paid. However, I soon became very frustrated as, even though they sat in my charger over night, they didnt always recharge properly. Some mornings, I would find the left hearing aid light was green (charged) while the right was flashing orange (not completely charged) - or vice versa. Other times, one would be green while the other static red (not charged at all) and there were occasions when both lights were green, yet one hearing aid would die by early afternoon. To add to the frustration, as they were paired to my work mobile, when one died, I couldn't hear the calls and had to disconnect the blue tooth and wait a few hours while I put the hearing aid back on the charger. My audiologist returned my charger to the manufacturer and twice provided me with new chargers - my hearing aids were also checked - but no problems were found - so I can only conclude these overpriced hearing aids which are sold on the basis of "rechargeable/enviro friendly and blue tooth connectivity" - are definitely not worth thousands more than battery operated hearing aids.
