Add me to the growing disgruntled list , 2.7 rating I understand why. Don’t use these guys , they have no ethics I ordered Tasmanian Oak veneer 36mm thick in different sizes , 4 of , three of them came one colour and the fourth was pressed with the two downgrade backs facing out - great work! I also paid for 100lm of 2mm veneered edging and was… Read more

supplied .5mm so there was $600+gst down the drain. I have asked for this to be resolved over a one year period. David the director played that he didn’t understand how he could match the incorrect sheet wow you’d hope your director be all over his products. Blind Freddy can see the difference and would know how to pick out a correct veneer. I’m on my second attempt to no avail. The Rep says he can’t give me an answer because David the director has to approve warranty claims. This isn’t warranty , this supplying a wrong product. Again just being ignored and now giving up . Congratulations David the Director. Ripped off another small business I guess that’s the cut of your jib. Ignore people until they have to go away.

Without a doubt the worst panel distributor I have dealt with. Plyco sold me faulty products. I tried multiple times over the course of 4 weeks to get a resolution but they don't want to know you once they have your money.

I find the response from Plyco offensive. As well as the responses to other posters. I would be happy to give my details for a refund or replacement but I am hoping more that Plyco stops being a crap company. Being a business owner I rely on strong companies. The more the better. I knew Plyco was a gamble. I lost. Also I sent Plyco the problems… Read more

this time too and just got “Wasn't me, sorry”. And it wasn’t the persons fault at all.

I do not like even giving one star but I have no choice.

Sorry for another post but I have never dealt with a company like this.

Doesn't deliver - ever! – Ordered 22 sheets of plywood (which should have been in stock) - on 24th January, then after hearing Nothing for 2 weeks, contacted their website to find out what was happening - to be told they had "lost" the order - and it was in a disused email account (When it was sent to their Contact email?) So they then said they would process it straight… Read more

away and we would have the order by the end of the week - Now over a week later and no further contact - and won't respond to any emails or website requests as to what is going on! Giving them 2 more days, then will Phone and Cancel our order - and go to Plyonline - which is cheaper anyway! Gave them enough chances - but can't wait any longer !!

Great quality Beech Laserply, perfect for school projects – We recently ordered 7 sheets of 1200 x 600 x 1.8mm Beech Laserply for our school's design and technology projects, and we couldn’t be happier with the quality and service from Plyco. The sheets arrived on time, well-packaged to avoid any damage during transport, and the laser ply itself was perfect for our students' work. The Beech Laserply is of… Read more ·  1

excellent quality—ideal for laser cutting and engraving—making it easy for our students to work with on various projects. It’s clear that Plyco takes care in both the materials they provide and the way they handle orders.

We'll definitely be coming back for future orders, and we highly recommend Plyco to other schools or anyone looking for top-quality laserply at reasonable prices.

false/misleading claims; poor customer service – I have an issue with Plyco that I have raised on the phone, and was asked to put it in writing by email. I have had no reply at all from this company regarding this matter either by phone or email. I have purchased multiple orders of 3mm ‘Radiata Laser Plywood’ from this company (https://plyco.com.au/products/radiata-laserply). The title,… Read more

description and marketing of this product suggests it is a specialised product for use with laser cutters. However, my latest order came with some labels still stuck to them, showing that they are ‘Project Panels’ (imported by a company called Forest One). These are exactly the same ply panels you can buy from suppliers like Bunnings, for a significantly cheaper price.

For example, you can buy these from Bunnings at $13.10 per square metre (and cut to size with no charge) (https://www.bunnings.com.au/brands/p/project-panel). For my latest order with Plyco (for 15 sheets of 1200x600mm 3mm ply), the cost (with shipping included) was $23 per square metre. This is nearly 180% more expensive for the identical product.

As I raised with Plyco, I was happy paying this price when I thought I was buying a specialised product that would be of a quality more suited to laser cutting than that supplied by Bunnings.

The ACCC has specific guidance on what constitutes false or misleading claims - https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/advertising-and-promotions/false-or-misleading-claims

In this case, it appears Plyco are being deliberately being ‘silent’ on the origins and brand of this product (discussed by the ACCC as a type of false or misleading claim). They fail to mention anywhere in their website and marketing material that the product is ‘Project Panels’ sold by many suppliers, and clearly stated as such by these suppliers. Rather, they imply that the panels they sell are a specialised product different from ‘Project Panels’, giving the product the title ‘Radiata Laser Plywood’ instead of being called ‘Project Panels’.

Unless Plyco resolve this matter with me, I will not be ordering any more products from this company, and I thought others should be aware of potentially false or misleading claims by this company.

Perfect for pyrography – Top notch Laserply from Plyco for my pyrography! Use plenty of their 3mm and 6mm Latvian Birch. Great interlayer bonds and super smooth face for nice cut parts with a good look & feel. The ply takes burn patterns like a dream - tried others but none as quality as Laserply. As a woodburner, having good materials is key and this ply ticks all boxes.… Read more ·  1

Consistent, affordable and great results whether detailed or simple pieces. Highly recommend this ace Aussie product for any pyrographers out there.

Don't do it – Asked for delivery to home address. The stuffed that up and it was sent to a depot in Auburn. Needed to pay an additional $300 to get it delivered from there. Delivered a 500g piece of ply on a 95kg pallet. Needed a crane to deliver. They left it on the footpath outside our home address. Shocking service, over 600 bucks in the hole for a 1x1 piece of ply. Would not recommend.

Plyco have taken my money and not delivered! Zero communication! – I placed an order in January and had to follow up and follow up to obtain any sort of communication. Finally received half my order but half of it is still outstanding. I have written emails and messenger communication but yet still not receiving a response. Zero communication and we are now 2+ months later. I could handle a delay but not… Read more

receiving any responses on my multiple follow-ups is quite frankly disgusting. Would not purchase from them at all. How poor of this company! Buyers beware!!

This company is amazing! – Definitely my go to from now on! Staff are great to deal with, the service they provide is next to none. Regular updates, and the website is easy to use, order and see the status of orders. Their prices are extremely competitive. I ordered on a Monday night expecting the delivery to be in a couple of weeks, it arrived on the Friday of the same week!

High quality plywood, handy sizes, a bit pricey – I've used Bamboo Laserply and Premium Birch Plywood from Plyco and have been happy with the quality of the product on both counts. It's stable, looks good, cuts well and is easy to work. It's also much better quality than the product that you can buy at large hardware chain stores - less defects, and (in my experience) much less prone to warping… Read more

if stored vertically. There is a bit of a price premium, but I've found it to be worth the extra money to get a nice, high-quality finish.

Sizes for boards that are suitable for DIY projects is a big plus. You can transport the 1200 x 600 boards in pretty much any car, hatchback or wagon. If you want delivery it is not unreasonable. I got quoted around $14 for a few sheets of 1200 x 600 ply to a Melbourne outer metro area.

One point worth noting is that thicknesses mentioned on the website are not accurate. I bought some "16mm" premium birch ply which varied from about 14.5 to 14.8 mm thick. Not a huge issue for my purposes, but it's definitely something to be aware of.

The 1200 x 600 sheets are generally available for pick-up without notice.
