OK – This is close to the entry level Heart Rate monitor so you only get the basic functionality. It is reliable, works really well and is easy to operate once you have set up the presets. The automatic toggling between readouts on the large dial is a great feature. The manual toggling is a pain. If I was given a choice, I would go for a more advanced model with more features and more buttons. This is good entry level heart rate monitor if you only want a simple device that will measure your heart rates and a few simple readings. While exercising, you can toggle between displays by bringing the monitor near to your chest strap and automatically switching between heart rate, elapsed time and watch function without having to fumble for any buttons. The unit is robust and reliable. You can measure elapsed time, average heart rate, maximum heart rate during the session and review at the end of the exercise. This is only a simple unit with very few functions. You only have a start-stop function with no lap times or pause capability. When you stop the monitor, your session stats stop as well. Starting again resets all the figures so if you like working out laps and circuit times, this is a pain. Manually toggling between functions is cumbersome with only one button to facilitate all the changes. Sometimes you can accidentally erase settings which is a pain when you are toggling to get to a function. Setting up the minimum and max heart rate alarms again with only one button is cumbersome and annoying.
